I have gone to a few other dealerships and Courtesy Toyota in Brandon by far had the best staff. Everyone had smiles and didn't look miserable to be there. The people at Courtesy Toyota were great. I have never been treated so nice at a dealership before. They seemed less concerned about selling me a car, and more about what would be right for me. The service is excellent. They even allowed me to test drive the car and take it home with me with no obligation to purchase it. This was buy far the best car buying experience I've ever had. I did my homework, walked in with a deal in mind, and got exactly what I asked for with very little "haggling" over the price. Very unprofessional, rude, and refused to answer phone calls or questions. It took over a month and 4 contracts to finally purchase my truck. The first time I spoke with Alex he quoted me all the numbers calls or questions. It took over a month and 4 contracts to finally purchase my truck. The first time I spoke with Alex he quoted me all the numbers told me what my monthly payment & APR would be and that he would have everything over night in the mail the very next day. Well 4 days later all the paperwork showed up, nothing was correct. My name was spelled wrong, birthdays were wrong, truck pricing was wrong, APR was wrong, the monthly payment was way more than we agreed upon, and the mileage disclosure was wrong (he stated that it had 15 mi when it really had 164, which I found out about a month later when the truck was finally delivered). When I attempted to contact Alex regarding this matter he had nothing to do with me. I left countless messages on his phone, left messages with the secretary who put several notes on his desk, and even tried going through his boss Jay Freeman. I was told everyday and time I called "that they are very busy with other customers" so what does that make me..Chopped liver like it's so hard to take 5 minutes and return a phone call? When Alex finally did call me back it was as if he were inconvenienced, and that I should be OK with the paperwork he provided. I tried to explain all the deficiencies, but he didn't listen and sent a new contract with only the cash price of the truck changed, and nothing else. We then contacted Debbie Melton the customer relations lady she was just as rude and curt as Alex. Instead of hearing what our complaint was she gave us even more attitude and told us to go some where else, when all we wanted was a return phone call and our names spelled right on the $32,000 contract. About 3 weeks after I first started this buying experience, a 3rd contract was sent along with the truck, however when they got here, once again nothing was right. The truck had NO plates, registration, it was damaged, and had 154 more miles than Alex stated. Essentially now I had a 5000lb paper weight sitting in my back yard. Only after my wife was on the phone with the dealer for hours, being hung up on by the salesman Victor Perry, because she was "being rude and upset with him", and passed around from person to person did she finally get a hold of the sales manager Jeremy Dodson. He had Alex send the corrected contract with the registration, and 4 weeks later we were able to drive our new truck. This was the worst car buying experience I ever had, the only reason I was persistent was because the price was the best I found for the truck I wanted. Courtesy Toyota needs to understand that people are not paying them with monopoly money, they work hard for that money, and should be treated with respect when they choose to spend their hard earned cash at Courtesy Toyota, or any where else for that matter. Alex, Jay, Debbie, Victor, and the management team needs some serious life lessons in people skills, Just showing some "Courtesy" towards someone goes along way. More
