Hands down best car buying experience ever. Hands down best car buying experience I’ve ever had. So good, I came back two weeks later to get my fiancé in a vehicle. I’ll never go any other place Hands down best car buying experience I’ve ever had. So good, I came back two weeks later to get my fiancé in a vehicle. I’ll never go any other place, Courtesy Hyundai has my business for life! I had been declined by several other dealerships in Tampa and assumed I was doomed to purchase only from a buy here pay here lot where I could be wasting my down payment on a non warrantied hunk of junk. Then I found Courtesy Hyundai... and Carter. Carter facilitated everything by email or text prior to my arrival, taking away a lot of frustration and annoyance that comes with being at any car dealership. Many other dealerships didn’t even follow through on communications by email or text but Carter was consistently prompt, attentive and informative. When I arrived at the dealership I met Sal. He was awesome. I told him where I was at with Carter and he got in the same page immediately. He didn’t try to pressure me into something I wasn’t there for and he was so very courteous and kind. He also returned my calls immediately even after I left the lot with my vehicle. That’s also something that is impossible to find at other dealerships. The guys in that room! That glass room! You are awesome!! Jaafar you do your job and you do it right! You were straight forward, you aimed for the numbers we gave you and in the end you made it happen. 110%. You are a very hard worker and we truly appreciate the work you put in for us each time! Angelo (x2)! And Tim!! You guys were the icing on our cakes! Your conversations and personalities were spectacular! Go Red Sox! :) Thanks to all of you who got us the opportunity to have a dependable vehicle and a chance to make our credit great again!! Your hardwork did not go unnoticed!! More

Dealing with Germaine was nothing short of a miserable experience. Even after I made a purchase, Germaine called me to see what he can do to earn my business, after telling him I purchased a car, he hung up on me while I was in mid sentence. I don’t understand how a dealer can stay in business with folks like this working for them. Anyone reading this, DONT deal with Germaine at Courtesy Hyundai. More
Worst experience ever I have never left a negative review about anything in my life before this company, but if I could save just 1 person from experiencing the unprofessio I have never left a negative review about anything in my life before this company, but if I could save just 1 person from experiencing the unprofessionalism, uncaring and incompetence of this dealership, I would consider it worth it. We recently leased a vehicle from this dealership. The experience was so bad, from the beginning all the way to the end, it was unreal. It all started when the sales guy we were originally working with said that he had to finish up with someone else and that another guy would get us started. We assumed that this meant that he would return since the guy he stuck us with was brand new and obviously didn't know much. Unfortunately he never came back, and the new guy ended up taking the deal. He was a nice guy but most of the time he had no one training him or helping him out. It was just him and us and none of us knew much about prices, terms, state laws, random lease details and just information that we needed to know. Needless to say we were there a long time. Over 3 hours on both of our visits in attempt to get through this deal. Apparently one of the things that slowed down the process is because we were registering our vehicle in Michigan. When I first walked in I was told it wasn't a problem. What they should have said is that they just don't do it because it seemed no one really knew how to. Many problems were caused because of this and very little was ever done to correct the problems, including even simply returning voicemails or texts. We were also not informed of needed information when leasing a vehicle. First our payment that we were told was not accurate. We were not told that it was more to register the vehicle in MI or that the plate could take up to 60 days to get in the mail. Overall the dealership has just shown absolutely no concern, care or responsibility for the customer. However, most of our major problems were due to just one person, the finance guy Basaam. One of the final issues we had was when our plate was mailed to our past address after I specifically discussed with Bassam that we were moving out of that address and that we needed the plate and anything else mailed to our MI address. About 5 days before the expiration of my temporary tag the plate had still not arrived. I called the dealership many times over multiple days. I left voicemails that were never returned, talked to the operators who continued to tell me that the finance manager was finishing up with a customer and would return my call shortly. He never did. When I finally was able to get a hold of someone I found out that the plate was mailed to the Tampa address. When I finally talked to Bassam about it he told me that the plate would simply bounce back to the post office, and then to the dealership, and then they would mail it to me again when they received it. His response to the problem was one of complete uncaring and basically just a blow off. Obviously what he mentioned could take weeks and my temporary plate was up in a few days. Consequently I couldn't drive the vehicle for about a week due to my expired temporary plate and was forced to rent a car. I was eventually able to retrieve the plate back from the post office after many hours on the phone over multiple days. When we did finally obtain the plate, it was a Florida plate. I soon received a letter from the FL department of motor vehicles stating that they were suspending my drivers license and registration due to the MI insurance on my FL registered car. I called Bassam many times about this and left many voicemails over a period of weeks. He literally never answered any of my calls and never returned any of my voicemails. This is obviously unbelievable considering this was all due to his incompetence. I left a review on google and was responded to by the GM, Jose Fernandez. He stated to call him which is obviously just a standard auto response for complaints. I did call of course however, and left voicemails, but once again I never heard back. Truly amazing how this is actually a functional dealership. I've leased several vehicles from Ford and Mazda and the process was flawless and the customer service was fantastic. Its no wonder that when I checked their BBB rating, out of curiosity, those dealerships have an A+ rating, and this dealerships was not. I wish i would have checked beforehand. It would saved so many problems. More

My husband was looking to into trading his vehicle in, and he was upfront with how much he owed and his credit score. Julian told him that they will definitely be able to work out a deal and that Tim had a bank in mind and we would have an answer within 30minutes to an hour, so we went in. Julian handed up off to Austin. Austin was very informative and honest, so we thought. My husband filled out the credit application AGAIN and stated what kind of vehicle he wanted and why. This is where all the lies begin. We waited a few minutes, then Austin came back and stated that Tim the finance director was on the phone with the bank working out a deal so while we waited to hear something we went and test drove a Santa Fe Sport. My husband wasn’t too thrilled about the vehicle, so we looked at the third row Santa Fe instead. When we went back in to talk numbers, Austin came back with a breakdown of monthly payments starting at $800 a month. My husband had told him earlier that he didn’t want a payment over $420. My husband said no to that offer, then inquired about the Sonata. Austin, came back with the same paper but the payment went down to $551, Austin stated that we would have a better chance with a lower payment if I were added onto the loan because of my credit score. I didn’t want to cosign because I had just purchased a vehicle and didn’t want a bunch of inquires, but Austin assured me that it would only be 1 inquiry because Tim already had the bank of the phone. I told Austin I didn’t want anything submitted to the banks until I had an estimation on what the monthly payments might be with me on it. He stated that was not a problem. I filled out of the credit application, and we waited. 2 hours later. I get credit alerts indicating that my credit was hit not once, but 7 times. At this point, I’m pissed cause I was lied too. Austin stated he had no idea it was being submitted to several other banks. Another hour goes by, and Austin comes out stating that the bank wants to know how I was able to purchase my vehicle on my income. First of all, you don’t know how much I put down nor do know how much the total vehicle was. I was a co-signer, so I didn’t put my complete income since the car wasn’t for me, and my husband makes almost 6 figures by himself. Fast forward Austin stated the only way we can do the loan is if I was on it by myself, another lie. I just purchased a new car myself, so I know I didn’t qualify for a second loan. Another hour goes by, and we finally meet with a finance manager, but not with Tim. This guy told us there is no way we can get a loan, because of my husband’s credit score and the fact that I just purchased a car. It took 4 hours to get a NO. This finance manager told us he didn’t know much about the deal we were working out but was just looking into the computer. What happened to the bank that Tim was on the phone, what happened to the deal he was working out. We were there for 4 hours and were told nothing but numerous lies. This place is a joke. 1 More
Sales experience Hah where to start...after few calls back and forth with Mike (a typical ordinary liar), he calls me back with an pre approved offer just to get me in Hah where to start...after few calls back and forth with Mike (a typical ordinary liar), he calls me back with an pre approved offer just to get me in. Went in with my wife to see him. Didn’t even bother to welcome us, for 20 minutes we were told he was busy.. while talking to the receptionist lady finally a new intern had the decency to come up and ask if we are being helped..later the new guy offered to help, explained to him what was the deal offered by his liar coworker...sat down and filled up paperwork as usual, he said we are not gonna run your credit but the manager just needs to verify your social info and of course they did run my credit without my permission...if you wanna run it you just have to say so not trying to hide it..the new guy comes with the first pencil which was nowhere close to the deal offered by Mike the Liar which the whole time he was sitting one table further..of course it wasn’t gonna work..on our way out here comes the famous Mike the Liar, presenting himself as a manager who was simply trying to hide himself behind the manager’s name..he didn’t even have the decency to present who he really is because he took the short cut and again because he’s an ordinary liar..2 min later after we left, boom there’s a voice mail on my phone liars talking crap between them abt the situation and the irony is they forgot that it was being recorded as an voicemail..hah..5 minutes later their coworker Brittany calles and leaves a voicemail saying that come back you are approved now..hah..Bottom line this place Courtesy Hyundai Tampa is run by INFANTS, which they still haven’t learned what CUSTOMER SERVICE is, what PEOPLE’S MANNERS are and they definitely have NO RESPECT for their own freaking customers..LAME!!
