After purchasing an explorer from them 2.5 years ago we had to trade it in for something that would better fit what we need. We ended up purchasing two vehicles and were well taken care of during the whole had to trade it in for something that would better fit what we need. We ended up purchasing two vehicles and were well taken care of during the whole process. I've purchased vehicles in the past from dealers and had poor experiences. This was the exact opposite. I truly believe that Courtesy Ford works upon the model of making sure the customer has the best experience possible so they will return. Not -How do we maximize profit from this one sale. Two experiences help prove this: I had personally looked up my interest rate through my credit union at 3.5%. Allisa could have easily charged me the 3.5% and keep the difference but found me my best rate of 2.99%. The other finance person Spencer we worked with on the other vehicle was also polite and professional. The second experience has more to do with awesome product knowledge. My Salesman Anthony St John is ueber hands on smart when it comes to truck capabilities. I highly recommend even if you are in the market for a new Dodge or Toyota to Look up Anthony and pick his brain on trucks. We were on a test drive and this guy was able to tell me what the rear axle gear ratio was by the RPM's we were at while traveling a certain speed. From there we looked up the towing capacity. Keep in mind this was on an 11 year old Dodge they had just received on their lot and the gear ratio was not stamped on the axle. I highly recommend visiting and buying your vehicle here. More
We purchased a Ford CMax from Courtesy Ford on 122nd in NE Portland, yesterday. We did a lot of searching for vehicles that met our needs and test drove many makes and models at Dealerships throughout Port NE Portland, yesterday. We did a lot of searching for vehicles that met our needs and test drove many makes and models at Dealerships throughout Portland, Oregon City, Tigard and Milwaukie. Finally we narrowed our search down to the 2013 Ford CMax-Hybrid SEL. After deciding, we asked two Dealerships that we had visited eariler for test drives and who helped us by answering our questions and providing information, for price quotes. Both dealerships understood we would make a purchase that day: Courtesy Ford on 122nd and Landmark Ford in Tigard. Both dealerships were very responsive and within an hour we had CMax pricing from both companies. One dealer though had given us a solid written price for our two model requests while the other dealer gave us a price for an upgraded, more expensive model - with a promice to beat any other offer. We elected to go with Courtesy Ford as their offer was written and emailed to me with the specific cars we requested and their final price out the door. I must compliment both Chad Ryan (Sales Advisor) and Ben Humphries (Internet Consultant) for providing a very responsive easy to understand bid price. Teaming up together they gave us great customer service. Both Chad and Ben talked to us about features and driving tips for the new car and they were extremely knowledgable about the Ford Hybrid products. After agreeing to purchase the vehicle we were asked by David Hughes (Finance Manager) to complete the paperwork. What sometimes can be the worse part of the buying experience was actually made very pleasant thanks to the effort(s) of Chad and David. The entire dealer experience was pleasant and focused on what we requested and having a customer for a very long time. Thanks again to Chad, Ben and David. We appreciate the car deal and service you provided to us. More
Bought a 2011 Fiesta and within a short time brought it back because of transmission issues. They looked at at it and said they couldn't find a problem. Problem continued, the jerking and lurching betw back because of transmission issues. They looked at at it and said they couldn't find a problem. Problem continued, the jerking and lurching between gears was bad enough it posed a danger to pedestrians in a crosswalk (as car slows to idling speeds it will sometimes lurch forward). I called Ford to see if there was a recall. They said no. Problem continued, brought it back to the dealer, they said, "Oh yeah, this model is known for its problems with transmissions" (go online and check out Consumer Reports who rated the transmission as "Much Worse Than Average", not to mention the multiple consumers who have reviewed the car with the same problems) The dealership did nothing to correct the problem. Problem has worsened, and recently I brought it back to dealer and they began to try to sell me a new car. Not one to buy impulsively, I left to think about it. A salesperson contacted me three times three times the next afternoon. This seemed like sales pressure, so I told him once would have been enough. Later that evening, I returned to the dealership and was met with stony glares by the sales team. It felt very uncomfortable. The salesperson then tried to sell me a used car that had been a Rental vehicle. I left not happy with the experience. I think the sales team of Courtesy Ford is a sham. They try to come across as customer service oriented, pretend to be "nice" but nothing seems farther from the truth in my experience. I sent in a survey with feedback, because they claim to care. No one has responded. I have a Ford car that I am unhappy with, a dealership that has done nothing about it, and has treated me poorly. Hope this helps in others avoiding a bad experience. David More
Our experience with buying a new Explorer was excellent. All the way from talking to Scott on the phone, meeting Norine who showed us the Explorer, which Scott already had parked out of the rain, to working All the way from talking to Scott on the phone, meeting Norine who showed us the Explorer, which Scott already had parked out of the rain, to working with Sam to sign all the papers. All around a great dealership with fantastic people working there, which is what makes it a super dealership. More
I traded in my VW bug for a Ford Focus. They worked worked with me on the pricing and financing. Agreed to put in a sunroof for free which is something I desired in a car. This is my second SUV purchased from Clyde. A year ago I needed a safe, useful for my life style, something that my adult handdicaped son could get in and out of, at a resonable price. Clyde came through wi needed a safe, useful for my life style, something that my adult handdicaped son could get in and out of, at a resonable price. Clyde came through with a beautiful 05 Ford Explorer, loaded with options including a moon roof. I loved it.But,it came to a point that it was costing me to much, had not purchased any thing for nine years due to medical problems, so.....a HIGH interest rate. And not so great mileage. So I called Clyde, told him my problem, he said give him a couple of days. Sure enough two days later, You notice NO BUMS RUCH to put me in ANYTHING, He found me just what I NEEDED. A pretty silver, loaded just like my Explorer, 08 Escape. Now that I have driven it for a week, I LOVE IT! And then Uriah, the used car sales Manager, Blew me away with a 7% loan through Unitus Credit Union. GREAT JOB COURTSEY FORD TEAM! I will be back for my next SUV from Clyde and Courtsey Ford! More
I was doing research in to buying a new Ford Focus. I submitted an online form so that I could get more information before coming to the dealership. Jason Porter quickly responded with an email just lett submitted an online form so that I could get more information before coming to the dealership. Jason Porter quickly responded with an email just letting me know that he had received my inquiry and then shortly after that I received another email with several listings that might meet my needs. He also followed up with a phone call to make sure I did not have any other questions. When I was ready to make a purchase, I called Jason and he gave me all of the time I needed to ask questions over the phone. Having a toddler and a child does not make car buying a fun experience. This was not the case with Courtesy Ford. Jason treated us like family and made us feel welcome, stayed at the dealership long after closing to help finish things up, and did not make us feel pressured at any point along the way. This truly was the first time that we were happy with our car buying experience. Thank you Jason Porter! And thank you Courtesy Ford! More
