From the Desk of Kerry Copeland. Service Manager, Courtesy Ford Lincoln Mr. Sammons. We appreciate your concerns with your Focus however when we met, I did not refuse to work on your car. To clarify, you had already taken your car to two other Ford Dealerships and they were unable to reproduce your water leak concerns. In an effort to duplicate your concerns, a Ford Motor Company Field Service Engineer was assigned to your case. The results were the same, no defects were found and therefore it was his assessment that there would be no repair attempts made to your vehicle. The Ford FSE even went so far as to go to your home and determined that it was the manner in which you are parking your car that is causing it to leak. When you asked to bring your car to Courtesy Ford, I advised you that Ford has processes in place for water leak inspections and that our dealership would have to perform the same inspection that the other two dealerships had. I also advised that we cannot over-ride the Ford FSE and attempt to repair your vehicle if we were also unable to duplicate the leak. I did ask you to provide information pertaining to the previous repair attempts so that I could review and contact Ford on your behalf. I apologize for not getting back to you but I can tell you that what you sent is not what I need. I did reach out to the Ford Customer Relationship Centeron your behalf but their response was the same. If the problem cannot be duplicated under "normal" operating conditions, there are no repairs that can be made. Again, we appreciate your concerns with your car but our hands are tied.
