An Outright Con My youngest daughter moved to Portland and found herself able to buy a car. She went to these cheats. They sold her a car with a fair full bore retail market value of $11,000 for $12,000 - not so bad but not exactly wonderful. However, as a first-time car buyer, my daughter didn't know the after-sales methods used to chase people into various gimmicks they don't need such as overlapping extended warranties. My daughter bought both a bumper to bumper warranty and a driveline warranty not understanding they were redundant. In the end, despite reasonably good credit for a younger woman, she ended up financing $18,000. It was an unconscionable deal but one that was perfectly legal. My fondest hope for this place is that it falls into a sinkhole and is never seen above ground again. More
