My Experience was great! Mike my salesman was polite, friendly and was looking out for my best interests, which was getting a good deal in my price range! I would and will recommend this dealership to all my friends and family in the future! More

On Tuesday afternoon, when no one had returned our call for a finish time, we went to the dealership to see what was happening. The car had not even been looked at yet despite the appointment. The same happened the next day. Finally, late in the afternoon, we got a text, not a call, that the car was ready. Since most people need their cars and need to plan when they are in the shop, it would seem that answering calls and also calling to inform of a delay would be the right thing to do. This also happened when we brought the same car in for mandatory service. More

Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted and shown to the car by Robby, which was pulled up front and ready for us to do a test drive. The whole process was easy and smooth - I strongly recommend giving Courtesy a chance to earn your business! More
Under inflated tires On Friday 2 Aug I took the car in for a 6000 mile oil change, and tire rotation. Prior to bringing it I noticed that the tire pressures were in the 32 On Friday 2 Aug I took the car in for a 6000 mile oil change, and tire rotation. Prior to bringing it I noticed that the tire pressures were in the 32-33 range and the door decal indicates a 35 psi optimum. So I requested that they check the pressure while rotating the tires. On Monday (the next time I drove the vehicle) I received a low tire pressure light on the dashboard. I checked the system and the two rear tires were at 28 psi and the two front tires were at 30psi. Essentially your mechanic removed air from all my tires without checking the manufacturers recommendations. The owners manual clearly states in at least three places that driving the vehicle with under-inflated tires could cause a safety risk and increase the danger of rollover. I returned on Monday and had the tires filled to the correct PIS. I will not be returning for any future services. More

Oil handprints all over outside and inside of truck After making an appointment to drop my diesel truck off on a Saturday, when I dropped the truck off I was informed that there was no diesel tech worki After making an appointment to drop my diesel truck off on a Saturday, when I dropped the truck off I was informed that there was no diesel tech working. Therefor I could only get an oil change , tire rotation, and a recall issue looked at. The display showed low coolant but I was told it couldn’t be looked at all in the same day. Mind you I dropped the truck off at 8:30am. I was informed that the truck was ready to get picked up. I showed up got my Keys and went to pick up my truck. Keep in mind that this truck is kept covered and detailed 100% of the time. I informed them not to wash it , and they didn’t. However to my surprise there were oil smudges and handprints on every panel except for the bedsides. It is a 2017 2500 hd duramax diesel ltz (white) it was the first thing I noticed when I saw the truck. I was gonna blow it off and drive home. I opened my door and there were oil arm prints all over the door panel in multiple locations. I went to the service writer to show her. I never write reviews and never complain about anything. But when you spend $70,000 on a truck that you keep immaculate and this is how it comes back to you is unacceptable. Granted it took me 10 min to clean the truck up when I got home but that’s not the point. How the tech could not notice this is beside me. I was a mechanic for 9 years and never once did I do this to a vehicle. At the very least if there was anything I made sure to clean it up before the vehicle left. If attention to detail in something as simple as an oil change is overlooked then what does that say about the other repair services that are offered. In closing I will not be taking my truck here in the future. I will find another dealership that hopefully will treat my vehicle as it was their own. More
Incompetent Dealership So I bought my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox at the Mission Valley Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego on April 28, 2019. I was an easy sale, and went thru all So I bought my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox at the Mission Valley Courtesy Chevrolet in San Diego on April 28, 2019. I was an easy sale, and went thru all of the paperwork quickly. I only had ONE request, and that was that I get a 2nd set of keys for the car as they only had one. The car only had 2000 miles on it, so they said they knew who 'had the car' previously and would get that 2nd set to me. If they could NOT find the keys, they were to order me a new one and get it programmed. So weeks go by and I ask if they had found the original 2nd set of keys. They finally track down the keys, and I go to the dealership to pick them up on June 7th. I pick up the envelope, get home and see that it's a key for a different car entirely - and clearly NOT my Key. I wrote to Ken Simmons who processed my paperwork and told him that it was incorrect and that I'd be happy to stop by the following week to parts/service so I could get a new one programmed. Afterall, this was a 2018 Equinox Key - how hard are these to come by? On June 7, 2019 - Ken Simmons wrote - " I am getting the process of ordering you a new key from the service department started. If you showed up on Monday, no one would know anything about it in service. So I will have someone from service department call you to set an appointment so things run smoothly." --- Ok, great. I'm also informed that the salesman that sold me the car is no longer with them, so I was to keep in touch w/ Ken regarding this matter. I thought that this was interesting since our car salesman had told us that he'd been there for a LONG time - and that another salesman had been fired the week before for borrowing money and not paying people back (he implied stealing). Anyway, just a side note to paint the picture of high turnover. So now fast forward A MONTH. It's July 5th and I'm getting frustrated because this key that is apparently SUPER HARD TO GET is still not in my possession after MONTHS! I write another email, this time not so nice because it was a very small request that this big dealership can't handle apparently. I don't hear back from Ken - so I forward my email to the owner, Mark Gruwell. I don't hear back from either of them, but some young woman did call my cell around July 7th and left a message that she has ordered the key and would be taking care of it. Well, here we are now August flipping 6th, and NO PEEP. No Key, No Attempt. This is a dealership that made an easy sale and has NO INTENTION of even fulfilling the smallest of requests! Out of curiosity, I called a different Chevrolet dealership down highway 8 and ask 1.) How much is the key 2. ) How long does it take to get 3.) How much to program it - The Answers: 1.) $152 for they key 2.) it takes ONE DAY to get it in 3.) It's only $62 to program it. So, Courtesy Chevrolet in Mission Valley San Diego could have taken care of this simple request for less that $100 wholesale - yet they chose to ignore me and blow me off. So now I wonder, if I have a problem, would they take care of it? Is this part of the awesome Chevrolet guarantee that they brag about? Does corporate know these guys are giving horrible customer care and follow up - why would I want to buy Chevrolet again? I would STRONGLY urge anyone to steer clear and keep on driving past this Mission Valley Courtesy Chevrolet, because heaven forbid you need something for your new car - they will complete you blow you off, tell you it's a bigger deal than it is, and you're not going to get the very basic service that you should get as a paying customer More
