Nice, no pressure experience. I had a great buying experience at Country Hyundai. After visiting five other dealerships, I was pretty fed up with car shopping. Between the haggling I had a great buying experience at Country Hyundai. After visiting five other dealerships, I was pretty fed up with car shopping. Between the haggling and long waits, the last thing I wanted to do was deal with another dealership. I looked on Country's website, and found a car I was interested in. I got a call from their Internet manager, Jason. I told him what I was looking for. We arranged for a day and time for me to test drive the car. When I got to the dealership, everyone was very friendly. I met with Jason and he introduced me to Joe, who would be my sales person. After we talked about the car a little, we took the car for a test drive. And because I spoke to Jason already about what car I was interested in, He'd had it ready to drive. So I didn't have to wait, while they found the keys and then the car. The nice thing about the test drive is that Joe didn't spend the whole time talking up the car. He explained certain things, but it was nice to be able to hear how the car sounded on the road. Most of the other test drives I had, the sales person talked incessantly. When Joe and I talked about what I was able to afford, it went very smoothly. There was no endless back and forth, between him and the sales manager. Again, every other dealership I went to had me waiting for well over 30 minutes, while they "crunched the numbers". We very quickly agreed on a price. After Joe, I saw Chris, in the finance department. He gave me a thorough breakdown of the payment. He also showed me what the payments would be if I were to add any extras (Car care, upholstery protection, etc.). That was nice to see as well. Once the financing was explained, I met with Amber. She was very nice. She did an excellent job explaining to me all the features of the interior of the car, particularly the stereo. With all the technology in cars now, it's nice that they have a dedicated person to explain how those things work. It can be daunting, if you're not familiar with those kind of things. She also tracked down my EZ Pass, which I had left in my trade-in and didn't realize until almost a week later. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. The only thing that could be improved would be the selection of cars. Although I found a car I liked, they definitely had far fewer models than some of the other dealers. That being said, they also have a smaller lot. So I'm sure that factors into what they can have on hand. I'm also confident that they would have happily ordered a similar car, if I was looking for a specific color. More

The staff at Country Hyundai are the very best! I had dreaded shopping for a new car because I assumed that all dealerships would be the same...high pressure, deceptive, quick to close the sale wit I had dreaded shopping for a new car because I assumed that all dealerships would be the same...high pressure, deceptive, quick to close the sale without listening. Boy, was I wrong when I started looking at online reviews for local Hyundai dealers, and saw that Country Hyundai had a stellar reputation. And their people are the secret sauce behind it. The moment I walked into the dealership, I was greeted by Scott Peters. I think that this was divine intervention; Country Hyundai has a pretty diverse group of sales people with different approaches sure to fit any customer, but having Scott as my salesperson was a perfect match. I had done my homework and had already drilled down my choices to a 2019 Tucson AWD Value, or SEL--which had two different size engines. Scott listened carefully, and then arranged for me to test drive both trims. Before, and during the demos, he explained the basic and convenience features that were often brand new to me, in a way that was clear and easy to understand. He also answered my questions after each test drive. It was like having a trusted and knowledgeable friend along for the ride. I chose the Value trim and the decision was all mine to make without pressure. What a refreshing change from how other places conduct business. I have to also add that since Country Hyundai didn't have the exact color combination Tucson that I had fallen in love with, they had one brought in from another dealer. Since this was my first new car after a lifetime of used vehicles, this was very important to me. The next step was the equally dreaded financing appointment. Why did I worry? My insurance agent had already given high marks to Chris Schultz, who handles the final sales agreement, etc. for Country Hyundai. Nobody likes this part of the process--but Chris was honest, friendly, and accurate at every step of the way. At this point, the customer's head is already spinning...the joy of a new car, and the worry of big investment; the financial details, like establishing lending and then sorting through all the possible add-ons and options, can be overwhelming. Chris clearly explained everything in just enough detail--cost, coverage and term limits for each add-on-- without pressure. It was pleasant, easy--and again, felt like dealing with someone that I already knew. It was now obvious to me that the staff here had been chosen by their ability to make a customer feel comfortable, with sincerity and honesty. My third and final shout out is to Amber Brainerd, who is tasked with explaining the fine details of all the technology packages to every customer, including baby boomers and elders who may be technology-challenged. This is not for the faint of heart. I'm a boomer and also a computer geek--but I sure wasn't familiar with the new bells and whistles that new cars offer, since my last one had few. Amber met with me on two different days, which made it easier to return with questions. I left with confidence that I either understood what ever feature did, or knew where to find the answers. So my final comment is this: choose Country Hyundai if you want a fair, fun, and friendly buying experience, with people who clearly care about you just as much after the sale, as they did when you first walked in. I can guarantee that Scott Peters, Chris Schultz, and Amber Brainerd will make it so. (P.S. I also should mention Jason, the online concierge, and Frank, the sales manager, who both contributed to a positive impression of Country Hyundai. ) More
