I was in need for a new vehicle following an accident in August. I sent my information out to the Hyundai dealers in the area and Shawn Fosnaugh responded in about 10 minutes after the email was sent out. August. He quickly set up a time for me to come in and test drive the vehicles I was interested in. When I didn't find the one I wanted, he quickly went online and located exactly what I was looking for and said it would only take a day to arrive. Well somehow the exact vehicle came in on the delivery truck the following week and he immediately let me know that the 2013 Marlin Blue Hyundai Santa Fe 2.0T with gray interior had arrived. Joe in finance worked with me, as well as James the manager, to make my experience very easy and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted without any hassles. I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone that wants a no nonsense car buying experience! For the information of future readers...I marked "Quality of Work" as NA because I haven't had to have any work done yet, but I have a good feeling that the service department will be just as concerned with customer satisfaction as the rest of the Coughlin Hyundai Team of Heath! Shawn Fosnaugh did a tremendous job. He spoke to me via email several times prior to my coming in so that he was fully aware of what I wanted and what kind of deal I was looking for. Have since talked to others and find that many share the same sentiments about the dealership and despite the location being further from me, I actually intend to take the cars there for service after hearing lots of good things about that too. The only thing I would say is next time I hope the paperwork process takes less time. Thank you! More

*** DETAILED AND THOROUGH REVIEW *** (Background) --- *** DETAILED AND THOROUGH REVIEW *** (Background) --- I recently purchased a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT Auto in Bright Milano Red from Sh *** DETAILED AND THOROUGH REVIEW *** (Background) --- I recently purchased a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 GT Auto in Bright Milano Red from Shawn at the Hyundai Location for Coughlin Cars. My experience was more than memorable and surpassed any other experience I have had in ANY dealership, in ANY city, in ANY state. I have to stress that I am extremely educated in the automotive field and have an embarrassing amount of shopping experience in a variety of different dealerships - I have purchased from "Mom & Pop" Dealerships in the middle of nowhere and from reputable dealerships that claim to have the "Highest Ratings in Customer Satisfaction". A lot of shoppers today are understandably concerned with the honesty and integrity of dealers - especially with high volume dealerships. With the available technology and mass amounts of data available on online it has become more and more of a challenge for car dealers to get "one up" on the buyer. Most dealers will make buyers feel like THEY are the bad guy when you the buyer could possibly be putting thousands in their pockets. Every member of the Coughlin Cars community from Shawn my dealer, to Jo the branch accountant, to the employees at the front desk made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The level of genuineness and honesty that was executed could have been mistaken to that of a Bed N' Breakfast. Shawn was accommodating but not pushy, attentive but not overbearing. He provided me with printed documents and had Carfax Vehicle History Reports on his desk when I arrived with highlighted points that may be important to me about the particular vehicle. His goal was to get me in a car for the right price for ME - not what made HIM the most money. The approach that Coughlin cars seemed to have was the buyers satisfaction over their own. I knew so much about the market value of the cars I was interested in it wasn't even funny and the prices to which Coughlin's vehicle were set had nearly 10% difference from other surrounding dealers in the columbus area. (Step by Step Experience) --- The 11th of August I made an Appointment with Shawn to test drive a few vehicles. Shawn did not overwhelm me with phone calls and emails that dealers love to call "Follow Throughs" nor did he influence me in any way to commit to any numbers before or during my arrival. The 16th of August, Upon arrival, Shawn had the vehicles I was interested in (1 hour before my set appointment time) detailed and positioned with plenty of room right in front of the main entrance. The cars had keys in the ignition and were ready for me to inspect. I walked inside and Shawn was on the phone so I had a brief awkward situation where alone I waited for my salesperson. IMMEDIATELY I was offered water and even given a dollar bill to use the pop machine just in case I wanted to wet my whistle. Not a huge a mount but huge generosity considering they had no idea who I was or what I was there for. Shawn promptly addressed mw with a firm handshake and an honest smile. He walked me out to the vehicles I was interested in and quickly gave me a detailed yet brief and efficient overview of the vehicles I was interested in. Every vehicle on the lot was clean and appeared to be in near perfect condition - definitely a quality selection of reliable and well rounded cars. I test drove each car with Shawn waiting for me every time I returned quickly changing the plate from one car to the next. When i returned from the test drives Shawn had every piece of documentation as well as discounted prices for me to consider before moving onto a decision for negotiation and financing. If you are an experienced car shopper you might be familiar with the "What do you want your payments to be?" tactic.... I cannot stand this. Shawn did not once use that tactic on me nor did he even so much as discuss a payment until we came to a conclusion on a good price for my car that BOTH of us could agree on. He didn't take me down different avenues and approaches nor did he pressure me to make a decision AT ALL. Shawn actually helped me get into a care that was MORE suiting for me and better on my budget. When he could tell that I was stressing, he gave me space and walked away, when he could tell that I needed more information he provided it without request. After settling on a deal we began running my credit for finance. In every dealer in every city and in every state I was pre approved for a little over 5% APR. Jo the branch accountant went to bat for me for nearly 2 hours getting me the best rate - he included me in every detail and step along the way and made me feel comfortable and confident in my decision process. For some reason Jo could not get me approved for a rate anywhere close to my current APR offers from other dealerships - we found this was because I had about 100 hard inquires from irresponsible dealers running hard hits instead of soft hits for better results. It had brought my credit score down over 30 points which put me in a whole bracket down on the credit graph. Jo then on his own dime contacted my personal banker and did an ENTIRE days work negotiating with the high ranked managers of JP Morgan and my branch to boot. In the time that this took I nearly created a relationship between several employees sharing life stories, opinions, and even how we felt about particular bar scenes. The whole experienced felt somewhat like a country club. I mean I always had a drink In my hand - was offered lunch - and stood around having conversations with various employees from managers to service mechanics to other dealers. I left later that day with a little hope and progress. I wanted the car BAD, and not only did I want that car - there was a couple cars priced so well I was considering upgrading!!! I returned the following afternoon after going through another AMAZING experience with Chase bank. (IF YOU NEED A LENDER USE CHASE, my lender was Chris at the Delaware branch on Sandusky St. 430145) I had a 5% APR Loan but not for the amount Shawn and I had agreed upon. Instead of Shawn responding with disgust and dissatisfaction with my outcome - after all the xxxx I put the dealership through - he told me he was going to do whatever he could to put me in my dream car. Shawn called me back with the manager on the phone, he congratulated me an closed on a deal. I drove 2 hours out to Heath, OH as fast as I could and about 30 minutes after my arrival I had the keys to my dream car!! of course when I arrived the car was detailed and ready to go for me - He congratulated me and made me feel like I just won the car. I was basically throwing the money at him I was so satisfied and excited. Nearly every employee i had met the day before gave me a quick hand shake and a good luck - just another piece of awesomeness that Coughlin provided - I left KNOWING I made the right decision. I took a picture with my car an invited Jo, Shawn, and his Family to dinner on me - maybe a couple drinks for me and Jo - He's a coolest accountant you'll ever meet. Im sitting here smiling just writing this review. I will continue to refer my friends to Coughlin and I hope MY kids buy from Coughlin Cars. My experience was that of the highest in customer satisfaction and professionalism. I would recomend this dealership to new, experienced, and tainted buyers. If you are looking for a new car its worth waiting for one at Coughlin - I spent nearly 6 month shopping for a new car - 2 of those months with NO car. Im no easy sell and Shawn alongside the rest of the Coughlin Cars family sold me for life. Thank you Shawn, Jo, and the rest Of the Coughlin Cars Community!!! More
