Took it back and the counter guy said sometimes that happens. Told him I wasn’t satisfied with that so he got a mechanic who said that’s the way it was before. So I asked if he worked on it. He said no, but they all are like that. Well, I think they are he said... Mine wasn’t! Still no reply after email sent to Bo @ 9:14am 11/1 - Now 6pm 11/2 More
I had 2 recalls on my used Chevy Malibu I took it in to get the recalls done. We live over an hour away. They completed the recalls called to say car was finished. I get there to pick up the car and stopped to get gas and got stranded in the cold. When I stopped the car it would not shift into park I shut the engine off to try to see what was wrong but the car would not shift on the dash the shift lever was moving but not on the indicator on the dash. I called the dealership the manager said they would have to send a tow truck to get me. I had to wait for over 45 minutes in the cold stranded until the toe service showed up. The manager called and told me they was closing to fill our a drop box envelope to put my keys in and they would have to look at it in the morning. The safety feature would not allow the engine to start because it was showing the car wasn't in park.. My family had to tun around and come back and get me and we had to make another trip for an hour one way. I asked the manager don't the technican guys make sure the car is operational before you call to say it is fixed. Manager stated well he did put it into gear to pull it outside. Manager advised after looking at the car the clip from the shifter came undone. One of the recalls was on the shift cable. The manager apologized but no compensation for all the hassle. No loaner car no solution for any of it just sorry we messed up, we will call you when it's done for you to come back. More
The bodyshop is top notch. Recently made contact with a deer and it did some damage. When I picked it back up needless to say the van looked brand new and the paint job is flawless and a perfect match. The deer and it did some damage. Inquired about a 2021 Terrain. Received a call from Kara (Call coordinator) the following morning, was pushed off to another salesman (Jon). Explained I would be trading a 17 Malibu Premier in and paying th (Call coordinator) the following morning, was pushed off to another salesman (Jon). Explained I would be trading a 17 Malibu Premier in and paying the remainder of the new vehicle with cash. The Terrain was listed for $29,605 on Coughlin Newark's website but was also listed higher at $29,897 on Coughlin cars website. After several hours Jon called me back to let me know the price was actually higher than both advertised prices online and that they had a disclaimer for those instances. Tried to contact a manger to question this but Kara intervened. I explained to Kara about a vehicle at a competing GMC dealer in Eastgate Ohio (Holman) that was more expensive than the Terrain they were selling and marked down more just to attract a customer. Kara gave me the best advice yet, "Why not just purchase their Terrain". Thanks for the advise Kara! P.S. They (Holman) offered me more for my trade as well. More
I had my 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 serviced because of a previous problem that was fixed, but not completely. It was the left rear door locking mechanism that had failed, & it was brought to my attenti of a previous problem that was fixed, but not completely. It was the left rear door locking mechanism that had failed, & it was brought to my attention from Brad in the Service Dept. that it had been almost 3 yrs. ago. A fastener needed to be tightened to complete the process of fixing the problem. Brad, Bruce, & the Technician helped to solve the rattling noise that I've had for a long time. Thank you Everyone!
