HORRIBLE experience! Do not visit this “dealership” unless you are looking for employees with absolutely no knowledge of vehicles or customer service. Ryan Krause is sexi Do not visit this “dealership” unless you are looking for employees with absolutely no knowledge of vehicles or customer service. Ryan Krause is sexist and unprofessional. Funny how Ryan was LURKING for customers by the reception desk, but then as soon as I asked him to help me find a car (Aka do his job), he was SEXIST, RUDE, and wasn’t interested in making a sale. As soon as the receptionist asked Ryan to “assist” me, because he was standing right there, he did NOT introduce himself or ask me anything about what I was looking for. After having to take it upon myself, I told him that I was interested in looking at the 2023 Corolla Crossover. Before saying anything else, he immediately told me that the 2023 Corolla Crossover has a bad drive train, and would only be able to support 1-2 people maximum and would absolutely be horrible for me and all my d*mn car seats (Ryan’s words NOT mine). FIRST of all, isn’t a sales persons job, to SELL products? So why did he say that his own company’s product was bad? SECONDLY a Corolla Crossover is a crossover? With 5 (FIVE) seats, so how would it only support ONE person? And when did I say that I had children let alone “d*mn car seats”? Absolutely DISGUSTING and Misogynistic assumption made on Ryan’s part. I’ve never dealt with someone so unprofessional, bigoted, and sexist! Especially not as a PAYING CUSTOMER! After telling Ryan that regardless of his opinion, I wanted to see the Corolla Crossover, he flat out denied my request and told me to look online and purchase a car on Toyotas website? To which I told him, that I had already checked out Toyotas website but I wanted to visually see cars in person. He insinuated on many occasions that I could not afford a Toyota! I asked him why he couldn’t show me a car, and he replied that their inventory was low (despite him showing me the screen where 1 WAS IN STOCK), I also asked about other vehicles, to which he refused to show me and also said that I wouldn’t like them and that if I wanted to be taken seriously, I needed to make a “good relationship with a salesperson” and then they’ll THINK about offering me an opportunity to buy a car from them. What a SICK thing to say. Ryan’s demeanor was incredibly disrespectful, aggressive, hostile, and honestly scary. I do not appreciate being talked down to and scolded. I asked him why I would need to have a “relationship” with a salesperson to buy a car if there was unsold new cars on the lot TODAY? I also asked how long it would take for Corwin to get more cars in, and how long it takes Corwin to get a car in if you purchase it sight unseen? He had no clue and didn’t bother to ask anyone around him. he repeatedly suggested that this is just how car buying works (hint: it’s not) and it was frustrating for customers and that I should just buy a used car. At no point did Ryan Krause ask me my financial status, nor did I EVER say I was interested in a used car. If I wanted a used car, I would have said that Ryan. I again asked to see the NEW cars on the lot, to which he said I couldn’t because they were sold already. Which doesn’t make much sense given his first answer? I was confused why I couldn’t see the already sold cars that were still on the lot because I was only wanting to visually see the outside of the car (NOT TOUCH, NOT sit in, NOT test drive)! He told me no and acted like I was crazy for wanting to see a physical car before deciding to spending thousands of dollars on a car Ihad never seen before! I left the dealership feeling shocked, depressed, and disappointed in the lack of service and human decency displayed by Corwins staff. Ryan didn’t offer me his business card when I left. I can’t help but think he intentionally didn’t introduce himself or give me his card, so he could discriminate against me and get away with it. Luckily I was able to see his name on his desk, so I could report his behavior. After leaving I called Corwin and was put in contact with a sales team manager. The manager was unhelpful and did not seem to care at all. The only thing the manager said was “how can we gain your business back”? So now they want my money? Despite me not having relations with a salesperson???!! I read Ryan Krause’s reviews on here (Corwin’s very own website) and he has a track record of discriminatory, aggressive, and misogynistic behavior. I brought the reviews to the manager’s attention and they honestly sounded surprised to learn that their own website had reviews on it! I’m leaving this review so others don’t have to face the same pain, disappointment, and discrimination that I had to. Ps. I went to several other car dealerships and had a lovely experience with their salespeople AND they even had multiple cars in stock AND they let me SEE the cars in person! And I didn’t get discriminated against! WOOT WOOT! But in all seriousness, why is Corwin continuously tolerating this inappropriate behavior from their staff, and doing nothing to stop it or protect their customers? More
Cordero was hands down the worst car salesman I have ever dealt with. He was rude, deceptive, & unprofessional. I traveled 1000 miles with my 75 year old mother to pick up a vehicle and was told that they dealt with. He was rude, deceptive, & unprofessional. I traveled 1000 miles with my 75 year old mother to pick up a vehicle and was told that they were not honoring what we had agreed upon. I requested several times to see the final numbers before driving 1000 miles, but he told me we would go over them when we arrived & he said that they will make sure that I am happy before I leave. When we got there, we were not even greeted, and he never even mentioned me test driving the Venza. I was then told they refused to honor what was agreed upon. We left with no vehicle. BEWARE!!!! If you want to be treated like an imbecile and pummeled with used car salesman speak for the first 15 minutes of your sit down, then speak with Richard. You will not get to look at vehicles until he gets the dollar amount you intend to put down and the amount you want your car payment to be. Case in point, I didn't want to discuss down payments until I looked at a vehicle. He didn't like that and kept insisting I give him a figure. When he didn't get what he wanted, he got up, (pouting) and said he would get us a different salesperson and then he walked away. I realize your new car sales people have a script to follow. The script needs to change because after being treated the way we were treated, I will ride my bicycle with two flat tires before I buy another vehicle from this dealership and keep in mind - I have bought 2 new vehicles from Corwin in the past. NEVER again will that happen. More
