I was expecting the same kind of experience I’d had in several other local dealerships. I was expecting high pressure and aggression. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff at Boulder Toyota was knowledgeable but more than that they were kind and courteous during every step, even when I walked away. They went above and beyond to try to get me into the vehicle I wanted. Unfortunately, the vehicle I wanted was a bit out of reach for me. Easy Breezy Recall work - Zero cost to me. I finally got around to taking my 2010 Prius in for 3 recall items. I called to make an appointment. Since parts were needed, they needed to have the I finally got around to taking my 2010 Prius in for 3 recall items. I called to make an appointment. Since parts were needed, they needed to have them before the work could be done. Made an appointment for about a week out at 10:45 am. I arrived a few minutes early and intake was pleasant and the estimated time for completion was between 3 and 4 pm. I also made an appointment with a sales person to look a new cars. See separate review on that. I received a call at 3:02pm that the work had been completed. I told them that I would be in on Saturday to pickup the car. Saturday morning I picked up the car and all the work had been completed with zero issues. There was still a plastic cover on the seat and a paper liner on the floor letting me know that they took care not to get my car dirty during the repair work. More

I had my perfectly good 2010 Prius in the service department for recall work (see separate review). I had make an appointment with Cory Smith to look at the new 2020 Corolla Hybrid. We love the Hybrid Synergy Drive system on the Prius and Toyota is using the same system on the Corolla Hybrid. My wife has always wanted a Corolla. Cory took me on a test drive. Since I was familiar with Hybrid system, Cory explained all the new safety features of the Corolla during the drive. While we were out, Cory had the manager appraise the Prius as a trade-in. Since my Prius was in perfectly good shape, I had calculated the out the door price that was going to make sense to me. If we couldn't get to the "value" price for me, I would just keep the Prius. I had low expectations that would could get a deal done, but I thought it best to give it a try. You are never going to get the best price on a trade and that was indeed the case here. Normally negotiations would start here, but since we were so far apart, we both agreed that trying to sell the car myself might get me to my number. On to plan "B". Plan "B" starting with listing the Prius on CL. I had heard about the scammers, but was I surprised to get my first scammer just 29 minutes after posting the car. Enough about that! Later the same day, I received a revised proposal with a better price from Cory. We were getting closer, but it was looking like the only way to get this to my number was to sell the car outright. I continued with plan "B". After a few days of trying to sell the car, my son had expressed interest in buying my Prius. I came up with plan "C". It was an "out of the box" plan to minimize sales tax on the two transactions and it would get me to my number. I emailed Cory the details and he said he would check with his manager. A few days later, I received a call from Chris Knippelberg, the General Sales Manger. We talked about what I was trying to do and unfortunately, due to dealership procedures, this was not going to work. I told him I would go back to working plan "B" and hopefully buy the car soon. Then Chris asked, "What if I just give you the original amount you wanted for the trade"? I responded that I'd buy the car in that case. He said, "OK let's do that". I made an appointment for the next day with Cory to buy the car. After I got off the phone with Chris, I started thinking that since a I got a great price on the car and my trade, they were going to hammer me in the F/I office. I was prepared to walk if anything went sideways. The next day, I met with Cory and signed papers, then I met with Gary G. to get the F/I stuff done (more signing). Gary like everyone else at Boulder Toyota was a total professional. Gary explained all the options that they offered and accepted my "No Thank You" to everything he had to sell without browbeating me. Nothing went sideways here and the deal was closed. I was in and out of the dealership in 1:10 with my new car and a smile on my face. As I alluded to in the title, buying a car at Boulder Toyota was enjoyable. Not like going to the beach enjoyable, but much better than a root canal. If I ever need a new Toyota, Boulder Toyota will be my first stop. Since my son didn't end up with my Prius, I'll send him there too! More

Went to Toyota Boulder to look at a pre-owned outback specifically that they had on their lot. Got a fair trade value (IMO) and matched a price of another dealer to help make things work. The deal took all of an hour and financing went smooth They worked with my credit union to get a great rate. Parker also threw in his banana he was going to have for lunch to close the deal. I was hungry. Only gripe was I went to drive off the lot and the tank was empty. I notified some staff and they filled it right up and I was off. Thanks guys More
