I am writing this review now that I am finally done dealing with Corwin Honda. Dealing with Corwin Honda has been absolutely awful and I can’t think of one good thing to say. I was neglected, ignor dealing with Corwin Honda. Dealing with Corwin Honda has been absolutely awful and I can’t think of one good thing to say. I was neglected, ignored, and rejected at nearly every turn in this purchase. I saw online Corwin had a vehicle that I was very interested in. My salesman Jake and I came to an agreement on price of the vehicle which included Corwin replacing the broken windshield and a trade in value for my old vehicle. I left content with our agreement on a Wednesday after being told the windshield would be replaced on Monday. Saturday I was told the glass for the vehicle had been ordered on the Wednesday I bought the vehicle and everything was on time. Monday I was texted and told the glass was not there and the third party hired to fix it didn't know when they would get it so I should come get my vehicle, and that they didn't have time to do paperwork to trade in my old vehicle so we could do that the next day, I reaffirmed the price we had agreed upon. Later that night after I had made other nessasary arrangements to sell my old vehicle I received another text from Jake saying they no longer wanted my vehicle because it would be too difficult to get the title seeing as one of my parents moved out of state and was on my vehicles title. Two days later, still no word from the third party about the windshield so I decided to take care of things myself. I went to Safelite Auto Glass and they gave me a Quote saying they could have the glass installed in a week. I took the quote to the dealership and asked to speak to a sales manager, Brian, who promptly wrote me what I thought was a check. He didn't bother to ask what was wrong, if he could make anything better which was very upsetting because I had just done their job for them in less than an hour that they hadn't been able to do in the week since I originally paid for the vehicle. I took the “check” back to Safelite when I realized it wasn't actually a check but a work order. I had to contact Corwin AGAIN to figure out what to do with that and after being bounced around on the phone for 10 minutes I was told to give that to Safelite to deal with. Both the manager at Safelite and I were very confused by this and he apologized profusely for how Corwin Honda was treating me. In the mean time I took my old vehicle to a salvage yard that said they’d be willing to buy it. The mechanics there said it was not only a cheap mechanical fix but the title issue could be resolved very easily in less than a week. The day before the glass was to be replaced Safelite told me they still had no contact with Corwin. I went in again and asked to speak to a different manager, after about fifteen minutes of waiting a man named Randy came to speak with me. I explained the situation about the “check” I was given and he clearly didn’t listen because he tried to see if they could fix it there at the dealership. I explained it again and told him to call Safelite. He was very rude and aggressive to me and the manager at Safelite over the phone. Once again, I got no apology from Corwin Honda. Exactly a month later and zero check ups, Corwin Honda emailed me saying my paperwork had been delivered to the MVD and I would get an email in seven to ten days with an appointment to register the vehicle. Eleven days go by, my temporary registration is now expired and no word from MVD or Corwin so I contacted Jake asking what to do and I was told I could either wait for that email or go in. It has been a month and a half now, I went to the MVD and asked at the information counter what paperwork I need to do this myself since I never got an email. The person at the counter says is that they have never sent emails to anyone regarding registration of a new vehicle and they don’t know why Corwin Honda would have told me this. More
Overall experience with Jake Lorenzen was really positive and he deserves 10's across the board. He was helpful and not at all pushy throughout the sales process. However, don't appreciate the incessant push by the finance manager for the extended warranty. At some point "no" means no. Additionally, and I've never experienced this in car buying, the sales contract had to be printed up 3 separate times, including an additional clarification prior to getting to that point on the agreed to interest rate and monthly payment as they were not correct. So 4 rounds just getting the monthly payment to accurately reflect the interest rate. However, instead of putting this on any individual, it did clearly seem that the finance/contract application that Corwin is using has bugs and definitely experienced issues porting the appropriate fees/discounts and rates between one another. After Saturday's experience I hope the team put in a trouble ticket as it cost us nearly another hour sitting while they just got it straight, Other than that, the vehicle is great and Jake has already followed up to ensure we are happy with the purchase.
