So I feel I can trust them should they recommend a repair. I haven't felt that way about a dealership service department for a long time. More
Making things right with a single visit Overall, an excellent service experience. I had the infamous Takata airbag recall service done, but unfortunately the dash panels were not re-asse Overall, an excellent service experience. I had the infamous Takata airbag recall service done, but unfortunately the dash panels were not re-assembled perfectly. So I took it back to Freedom Honda, armed for a fight. Why was I armed for a fight? I normally dread taking the car back to a shop with a complaint, because time and again other dealerships have completely dismissed my concerns or patronized me. I have been working on cars ever since I repaired the distributor cap on my 1989 Dodge Caravan, but most dealerships treat me like I don't know what a dipstick is. So I printed out portions of the Honda factory service manual to point out Freedom Honda's mistakes, and I also had a complaint letter to Honda Corporate and NHTSA ready to go. However no fight was necessary. Freedom Honda was refreshingly different from my experience with other dealerships, and they kept me smiling all through their re-repair service. Mr. Dan Moran, it is unusual for the director of a 28 bay service department to jump up and personally help a customer, so I am very impressed and grateful. Derek, sorry I don't know your last name but I want to thank you for working on my car, doing your best and making things right. The finished work looks perfect now, and you can bet I will return to Freedom Honda for many needs. And that is not just because of Dan but also because of Derek. Derek, obviously you are capable of doing excellent work so please keep up the good work. Thank you, even the morning shuttle driver who was very courteous and safe. He is probably the very first shuttle driver I've had that drives like a safe, normal, sane person, instead of the other shuttle drivers at other shops that drive like we're in Nascar. At other dealerships I feel like I am risking my life when I ride the shuttle. At this dealership I felt treated like a knowledgeable human being. Made my day. More
Service department Had my second crappy experience with this service department. My vehicle is still under warranty. First time, I had a specific appointment, I took Had my second crappy experience with this service department. My vehicle is still under warranty. First time, I had a specific appointment, I took my vehicle in for general service. I waited an hour and half for an oil change and tire rotation. When no one came to get me, I walked up to the service desk and asked about my vehicle. Turns out they had never even started the service. They said they would have someone get right on it. Within just a small amount of time they pulled my car around. They tell you they also wash your car, but I could see they had not, but I assumed they felt they had already kept me waiting. I pulled out. I drove about a half a mile and just checked my oil info and it was exactly what it had been when I took it in! I turned around and went back to the dealer. By the time I got there they had apparently realized that my car had just been pulled forward and no one had done any service on it at all. So they took it back in and did complete the service. So I wasted 2 1/2 hours just to have my oil changed and tire rotation. They never did wash the car. What a circus. I made an appointment for today. I explained to the person on the phone that my navigation screen intermitently has lots of lines across it, then goes completely blank. If I stop at a store or do some shopping, it usually comes back to a normal screen when I start the car again. I explained this has gone on for more than a month. I go to my appointment this morning, the service person who was checking me in just ask my name, what was I there for, told him, he ask me if it was doing it now, I told him no and the first words out of his mouth were "well there's nothing they can do if it isn't doing it now". Are you kidding me? I made an appointment for a problem for which I explained the issue I was having, I drive to opposite end of town and the best this service person can be is negative??? Not "I'm sorry you're having an issue, let me see what can be done", but just negative. When I told him that means I made an appointment and drove over for nothing, he finally said, "I'll call them and see if there is anything they can do", MAYBE that's where a service person should start. Turns out that the person he spoke to did offer to do a software update that might help. After the service guy got off the phone, I told him I wanted to speak to a manager, he basically tried to keep me from doing that, I told him again I wanted to speak to a manger and he walked off toward the managers office and I followed him. He walked in and raising his voice started insisting he was helping me, I had not said a word, I asked if I could just talk to the manager that we were in the office of by the service person continued to interrupt me and the manager allowed that to go on. So I finally walked out of the office, got in my car. The service manager (who obviously needs training also)came out and tried to get me to stay, but by then I was so upset that I told her I wasn't willing to stay. I would suggest to anyone thinking of buying a vehicle at Freedom Honda that you consider what your service will be after the sale. This is not customer friendly service. More

Our first experience was with Ben Palmer, who was very patient as we test drove several SUV's; he was able to answer every question we asked of him. In addition to spending a great amount of time with Ben, we worked with John Walker, Scott Brunelle and Mario Martinez, all proficient in their area. After the financing aspect was completed, Ben sat in our new car with us and went over all the "fancy gadgets" to make sure we knew what was what! He said he would call the next day to check on us, and he did. In fact, he has made two calls to make sure we were still happy with our car. Great crew at Freedom Honda! More
Oil Change + Airbag Recall Went in for a free oil change and found out the vehicle had a passenger airbag recall needing to be performed. Also found out drive train maintenance Went in for a free oil change and found out the vehicle had a passenger airbag recall needing to be performed. Also found out drive train maintenance was due. All of the work was preformed in less than 2 hours. Very satisfied customer. Suggestion: Provide a soft drink dispenser in addition to the coffee/tea/hot chocolate machine. The Toyota dealer next door does. More
