Update - had a conversation with a guy from the service department. Reasonable enough but said Dodge wouldn't allow him to replace the part. I will, of course be barking up every dodge, chrysler, fiat tree I can find, as well as the BBB, because I disagree. I will have the time because I cannot work. Im on a leave with disability from work,and I am homeless. I live in my car. I have been doing uber to survive since March. His reasoning was the part was worn, and if that was the only factor, I would agree with him. Thats not something that should be on them. But the fact that I brought them my car and left with it in worse condition than I came. No, I should not expect a worn part to be replaced. But when you lost the bushing to the part, resulting in it becoming necessary for you to rig my shift cable up through my console (or pay $1400 I dont have for the replacement and repair), that is when it becomes, ethically, the responsibility of the service center to replace it. It is as simple as I brought you something to work on, you looked at it and when you did,you damaged it and could not return my vehicle me in the same state I brought it to you. To me, that is poor service, not what I expected from the Dodge dealership. I understand not being liable for the issue in the beginning, but when, in your inspection, you altered my vehicle...it just seems below the standards that I associate with Dodge as a company. If anyone from Corwin reads this, the gentleman i spoke with mentioned me bringing the new cable and bushings, and you guys would put it back in...if I understood that correctly, please reach out. I just need my car to at least be in good enough condition to work,and it was when I came to theservice center.
