We were on our way to Zepher Cove to take the Dixie 2 paddle boat on a dinner cruise on Lake Tahoe late Wednesday afternoon when we blew a heater core hose. The Cruise company was very gracious and allowed us to transfer to Friday. 3 hrs later we arrived by tow truck at Reno GMC. After getting our GMC Yukon XL Denali unloaded and paperwork done it was already dark. The dealership up front said no rental cars or loaner cars after 5pm. But just as I was looking up Uber to take us to the airport to rent a car, Mark Payne a Service Advisor was just exiting after a late meeting on his way home to relieve the nanny that stayed late because of the late meeting. 90% would have just passed and politely nodded hello. Not Mark .. he said he would be glad to drop us off at the airport! And he absolutely refused to accept money to buy the kids some pizza on the way home. This whole thing we found amazing in the world we live in today, and reflects on the the type of I am sure of many of the employees that work at Reno GMC.. I will give them a shot at our next Denali when we are ready to buy again. And the service department got our car done that very next day and finished it up by 2pm even though they had a very full schedule. Thank You! C. David and Becky Hemp DDS More
Good service My service appointment was for the most part acceptable. The only downside was for some reason the tire pressure sensor on one wheel stopped working. Matt had just the right touch for my elderly parents (I went with them for the sale the next day). He didn't talk too fast or push anything too hard. He made them feel great about their purchase, which was admittedly far more than they initially wanted to spend, but was one of the only vehicles that could satisfy my mom's special needs. More
No Skid Plate costing me 4500 I purchase a Yukon from the dealership 2013 w all upgrade 4 wheel drive options - not standard! had to be ordered- any way after that i assume there's I purchase a Yukon from the dealership 2013 w all upgrade 4 wheel drive options - not standard! had to be ordered- any way after that i assume there's a skid plate like all the other 4 wheel Suv i have purchased becuase of off road needs. any ways i get high centered on a volcanic rock and it blows out the transfer case- then i find out theres no skid plate- i looked under the car and the rock was like 4 inches up in the engine area- a skid plate would of corrected it. the salesman that took my order no longer works there but i am pissed about the no skid plate and the cost i had to pay when i found out.. other than that everyone was very professional and tried to help so this is a quaility dealarship- i just had a bad and expensive mishap. the yukon i bought in 2001 had a skid plate as well as the Tahoe i bought in 2003 had one- they were all automatic. I assumed if i was not included the sales person should have mentioned this to me. More
