Disappointing sale. I have never been told to move out of a salesmens desk so he can do another sale, put in waiting area and forgotten. Was bribed by a free tank if I did a positive survey for him. Felt as soon as I signed on dotted line that was it no need to be nice anymore. First american car purchase will never by from Corwin again. Then I had damage to my tire had car towed in and they said it was vandalism and charged me $300.00. It was not vandalism. Austin in service was the only nice person I encountered at this business. More
We went in after seeing a used BMW X3 posted on their website and already had secured financing from USAA. They told us they can't accept outside financing and we were ready to walk, but they were able website and already had secured financing from USAA. They told us they can't accept outside financing and we were ready to walk, but they were able to beat our already low interest rate by half a percent, so it was easy to say yes and move forward with the sale. Brondon was very helpful in getting the sale made, but it did take about three hours. Thankfully this dealership doesn't use the "four corners" sales method, but the worst part is the 'options upsell' at the end where "for just a few dollars more each payment you can get all these services included". What's not shown is the true cost of the service because it's buried and spread out over years of monthly payments. After taking delivery of the X3 we drove it home without issue, but later that afternoon when my wife took her mother out for 'a ride in the new car' she noted a 'ticking sound' on the freeway and when she was driving on our street she heard more noises and a 'thunk' as she pulled in the driveway. What we discovered was the right, rear brake caliper had lost or broken or ??? its top bolt allowing the caliper to pivot forward on its bottom bolt and was grinding a grove inside the rim as the tire rotated. The Carfax records showed that the dealership had performed replacements of the rotors and brake pads just a couple days prior, so it seemed clear that the maintenance department didn't do quality work or supervision and missed something. Brondon had provided his mobile number, so we called him that Friday evening. He answered immediately, was very apologetic and got things moving to get a tow truck to arrive Sunday morning and bring the X3 back to the dealership for repairs. A week later we took delivery of the X3, cleaned and repaired with a new rim (and hopefully looked over carefully before being released). Since we had another vehicle available to us and no one was harmed we were definitely inconvenienced, but not outraged over the incident and were more concerned about getting the repairs done well and not having it, or another preventable issue, manifest later. Time will tell more, but right now it is driving well and Brondon was very helpful during the whole process. More
