Cortese Ford Lincoln responded

Cortese sold this vehicle in good faith and the customer did not report any issues or problems for over 5 months. We understand and realize the customer's position, but time and mileage restrictions are put on all vehicle warranties to protect both the consumer and retailer. In this case Cortese did offer to pay a portion of the repair but the customer denied our offer unless we paid for the entire repair. It should be noted that had the customer purchased an extended warranty which is always offered at the time of purchase, it would have avoided most of this problem. Extended warranties are always available and great protection especially on an older or higher mileage used vehicle. We would gladly offer any assistance to this customer as a good will gesture.
