I have to be honest - buying a car is NOT something I look forward to. It is such a major expense! And I want to make sure that I've received a fair price for a high quality item! I truly believe that look forward to. It is such a major expense! And I want to make sure that I've received a fair price for a high quality item! I truly believe that is just what we got from Cortese Auto. The vechile we purchased was for our teenage sons. Their safety was our top concern, pricing second. This will be our 9th Ford so we believe in the product - now we believe in the dealer as well!! They just made customers for a good long while as we are certain to send our sons there for their 2nd, 3rd, 4th cars... More
I will start out saying I am a middle aged woman who does not like to be taken advantage of by dealers because I am not dumb & know my car I drive. I need to give credit where it is due: sales is very frie not like to be taken advantage of by dealers because I am not dumb & know my car I drive. I need to give credit where it is due: sales is very friendly. While I visited 2 days in the last week Sales Consultant Dave Eichelberger was very friendly, very handsome in his dress & stature & very informative about the Ford Focus 5 door hatch I am interested in buying in the fall. He gave me his card to contact him but unfortunately for both of us, I won't ever be a customer again because of the service department. When I bought my dream car 6 years ago---a Cortese customized V6 dark gray with black striping and a gorgeous kit that looks like the Eleanor. I still feel like queen driving it! The body shop has gotten kudos from many admirers who have asked me who did me car. Service was questionable witin a year or so of this purchase and glad I had an extended warranty for the same bad tie rod twice in one year. Never had one again since. When I went to Cortese Ford last Sat.(made an appointment a few days before) for my 100K service, NYS inspection & check hesitation problem, I waited one hour & after having in in the shop for a half hour was told that they didn't have my sparks & wires because they sold them to someone else Friday. New wires were needed because of a misfire code. When I was given the parts quote by Fredrick on Sat. it was steep but I did not know the parts cost of the top of my head. Service was reschedule for Tues. 5/10, so I dropped it off at 6:45 AM. Later I was told it wouldn't be ready until 4:30, it wasn't ready until 5:05. I asked why it took so long & Fredrick said the tech started @ 10:30 AM, had a hard time getting the plugs out & had to spray them.He gave me my steep bill & noticed $695 labor fee, I didn't say anything to Fredrick because I never saw him before. Because it was getting neat the end of their day I decided to make some calls Wed. to the management. No where on my invoice were any labor hours typed in for any of the two services! I know from experience with having another 100K service on a former car, it never took 7 hours & there is a such thing as "flat rate!" I talked to Marie Bionchi a few times Wed. not at all Thurs. & left a message for her Fri. am & she called back to leave me a message. Marie was very understanding & followed-up---I felt bad for her being in the middle of an apparent "robbery". Keith called me Friday afternoon & said he also agreed the bill was wrong, Fredrick is kida new & he said he'd give me back $216. Since I was at work & couldn't talk more than that I said I'd be there after work to get my credit. I got the credit but requested to see Keith. Keith came to the window & did not look pleased. Did not smile, did not shake my hand and never said "We are sorry for this error." He treated me like an idiot because "well it's a bigger service" and "you had sparks & wires put on" and "you approved of the price" "I can't give you more than that because it wouldn't be fair to us". I told him it was NOT FAIR TO ME!! I AM YOUR CUSTOMER!!! I asked him if I hadn't complained, would they have ever checked and caught it and he replied no!! If Fredrick is "kinda new" why wouldn't someone check his work at some point? Or is this the way they are trained? I told Keith I made phone calls to 2 other Ford dealers to get time estimates and they quoted me from a standard: 1 hour for inspection & 2-3 hours for the 100K service. So, I am estimating 4 hrs. He said "ut you had sparks & wires put on". I said "Yeah, and they are included in the 100K service" he said "not the "wires" I know the wires take a few minutes, they snap on. At this point I had kept my cool & wanted to continue on that path so I said "Never mind Keith, I'll take the $216 but I'm not completely satified, good bye." AND I MEANT FOREVER. Car buyers beware, I have heard overcharging services from many coworkers who have dealt with them. It's a shame more people don't fight for their hard earned money against sheisters like Cortese instead of paying and never coming back. It does no good, that is why bad businesses remain in business so long! F I G H T! More

On May 4th 2011 I stopped in to see if they had the new C-Max van on the lot, I had been looking for a very economical gas millage vehicle for about 3 or 4 years, I was looking at the Focus and Fiesta Hatc C-Max van on the lot, I had been looking for a very economical gas millage vehicle for about 3 or 4 years, I was looking at the Focus and Fiesta Hatchbacks when Denise Warren came out and introduced herself. Now it was my bad when I wrote in my last review that her name was Dennis Weaver! Anyways Denise sold me a 2011 Ford Focus Sedan “Program” car I did not trade in my 2000 Suzuki Suv, with 34000 miles on it. I have a lift in the back of that for my scooter lift, but even though my small suv gets good gas millage for a suv for city driving it was horrible. I had contemplated what I was going to do, and thought maybe a gas efficient vehicle for around town driving or a place that I was going to crutch into a small car would be great and much more affordable for me to drive. I had looked at many types over the last 3 or 4 yrs, but Ford beats all the small cars on gas millage by far! Denise made my car shopping experience wonderful, I had a great time. Denise even sent the shuttle the next day to pick me up and bring me to the dealer for delivery on my new Focus. Jake the shuttle driver was wonderful, he explained anytime I come in for service he would be happy to bring me home, or to the mall or a restaurant and I would just call him and he would pick me back up! Jake had a wonderful personality and was so professional and on time. This feature and Jake is truly a great asset to Cortese Ford! Denise and everyone made sure I was confortable while I signed paper after paper my car was just beautiful after the entire Ziebart package had been applied! Being handicapped I dreaded trying to keep a black car clean. So I purchased the Ziebart package and the car was just beautiful. Denise even paid herself to have a silver pinstripe put on for me! Once we had the paper work done Denise took me out to the car and stepped me through how all the bells and whistles worked. Denise helped me sync up my cell phone to the car. She was wonderful. Once that was complete we drove through Service and I met a wonderful Service Manager Kirk who told me anytime I arrive for service drive in and I could come in the Employee entrance to save me walking all the way around to the service desk, which was so kind of Kirk. Kirk was funny too. Cortese Ford made me feel so welcome, not just on the delivery of my new car but even when I was looking and driving probably 6 or 7 different cars to see what best suited my needs. Cortese Ford and Denise Warren is the best car buying experience I have ever had! I am no spring chicken so that is saying something. My new car drives like a dream everyone thinks it’s a BMW! They can’t believe it’s a Ford Focus. My brother is considering bring his Ford to Cortese for service rather than driving it all the way to Avon. I also have two friends that I have sold on Cortese and Denise. Thank you so much for being such an outstanding dealership that hires honest, professional, kind and knowledgeable people with such great personalities. I look forward to seeing the C-Max Van my dream is a van with a ramp to be able to drive my scooter into or eventually my wheel chair. Cortese Ford Keep up the great work you will have my new car sales and service for years to come! With my kindest regards, Trudy T More
The sales person when told a budget of around $250 a month he kept the payments within that amount. However, after purchase was made we found there were MANY issues with the vehicle. The shockes were ba month he kept the payments within that amount. However, after purchase was made we found there were MANY issues with the vehicle. The shockes were bad, there was a broken lug (which should have failed the NYS inspection), all 3 motor mounts were loose, a major ground wire was not grounded. Everyone was informed that I would be taking the vehicle directly to my 2 sons in law for an inspection and the night I took ownership I did just that. They noticed both my back wheels were wobbly, drive shaft was bent, one tie rod end was replaced and the other was left with a torn boot. When a representative of the company called and made an appointment for myself and a son in law to come in and discuss the issues, that rep didn't go to work the day of our appointment. He told the people that would be there during our appointment "not to put any money into my vehicle" and it was written on the work order. This is NOT the way to treat a single, handicapped woman who came to your dealership to purchase a vehicle! I did not recieve either the last 2 pages of my car fax or my copy of the pdi. I asked about both of these when I came in for my appointment and was told they would produce these papers and none was given to me. I still want these papers. I would NOT recommend Cortese to anyone due to the poor treatment I was given. I would be very sure to let anyone know that I was treated very poorly and that I was lied to about what services were performed. I am still deciding whether or not to contact the NYS Attorney Generals office. More
I had been in the market for the last couple of years looking for the right pre-owned vehicle for my 45 minute daily work commute. Denise listened to my needs and was able to find me the right vehicle a looking for the right pre-owned vehicle for my 45 minute daily work commute.
