I have exclusively owned and driven Hondas/Acuras for 20+ years. I was persuaded to try the Ford Fusion because of the good write-ups given by the rating companies. I test drove it at Cortese and worked wi years. I was persuaded to try the Ford Fusion because of the good write-ups given by the rating companies. I test drove it at Cortese and worked with a fabulous salesman, Tom Ciavarri. First off, other sales folks were in the showroom, but it was Tom who reached out to welcome me. I truly was not planning on purchasing a car that day, and told him so up front. Nonetheless, he took the time to provide all the information about the car and answered all my questions for me to decide it was the one for me, and the right time, without even going back to test drive the Accord or the Acuras. Tom explained available car options in a concise manner and after very little back and forth, I had a price, with the various leasing versus buy options, including an understanding of the true value given for my trade. When I went home that night to compare my purchase with information on the web on pricing, trades, etc., I knew I made a very wise and money-saving decision. The finance guy, Joe Diguardi, was equally professional. He viewed his job as providing the complete information for me to make informed decisions, and not to pressure me in any way. Delivery went smoothly, including a meeting and short chat with my service guy. Cortese, and Tom in particular, exceeded all my expectations regarding purchasing a new car, and I highly highly recommend him and Cortese. More
After I drove off the lot at Cortese Dodge in Rochester, NY the Sales department refused to communicate with me. Messages left for the President of the company (Just call me, John Cortese with any problems!!) were also not returned. So, once you leave the lot here, don't expect any service whatsoever. Over two weeks for the salesman to schedule a service appointment, because he was sick, then he was busy with end of the month, then he was the only one on the sales floor, then he just doesn't know how to use a phone I guess. An endless supply of excuses. Met with his Manager on saturday because he's going to 'take care of me'. Went over the car completely. Was there for 2 hours and got my overdue first oil change. They also scraped factory paint off front wheels because wheels were not sitting properly - causing a clicking noise in reverse. Before I leave he tells me he will call me 10:30 am this Monday with an appointment for warranty service. Monday at 4:15 pm I call him and he doesn't know who I am at first, then he tells me he was supposed to call me by 10:30. But jokingly, he never apologizes. Instead he gives me excuses and tells me he has been at his desk for "8,500 hours and it's the end of the month". Then he tells me he will call me back in 15 minutes. 2 hours later, [U]I call him again[/U] and he tells me I can drop it off the next night. No way in hell I'm I ever going back to Cortese Dodge. Went to Vision Dodge and got set up with the Sales Manager and Service Manager. The whole atmosphere was Professional from the moment I walked onto the sales floor to every one I passed in the Service Dept. Night and Day compared to the lack of enthusiasm and unprofessional manner every where you look at Cortese. Most of the issues are under warranty, so no $$ problems for me. Shame on Cortese Dodge for such horrible Customer Service. It was disgusting the way I was treated after purchasing a 2011 RT classic, and making every effort to clearly communicate to them what they needed to do to make it right. They need to grow up over there. You'll get better treatment from the kids at McDonalds, and fries!! This was the readers digest version too. Too disgusted to go into further detail. More
My experience with Shane was very professional. He is straight forward and not pushy. He took the time to show me everything inside my new Escape before I left the lot and assured me that I could call hi straight forward and not pushy. Just picked up a new Outlander Sport, as usual the experience was nothing but positive. This is the 7th Mitsubishi we have gotten from Cortese and I would never consider going to another dealer. From the moment we walked into the dealership, my wife and I had a great experience. Tom introduced himself and we told him what we wanted to look at. We had been looking for a vehicle for some time now and I had a great experience. Tom introduced himself and we told him what we wanted to look at. We had been looking for a vehicle for some time now, and had been to several dealers during the previous few weeks trying to pear down a make and model that suited our needs. We felt 'comfortable' dealing with Tom. We had arrived at this dealership after leaving a previous car lot on a Sunday at about noon with our 2-year old . Because he needed food and a nap, we needed to leave and return to talk the deal. Tommy {as he became to be known as} was EXTREMELY acceptable of our situation and indicated that he would stay until we were satisfied with our deal. Although they closed at 4pm, we ended up returning at 3pm staying until 6pm with Tommy & Ron! Talk about service!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this dealer. {Not to mention that my wife had purchased a new vehicle from them 10 years prior ...} Repeat sales and service tells you they're doing something right! More
