On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, I brought in my 2006 350z for a tire repair. I was informed that the tire was not able to be repaired due to the nature of the puncture. Fortunately, I have an extended warr for a tire repair. I was informed that the tire was not able to be repaired due to the nature of the puncture. Fortunately, I have an extended warrantee that covers the replacement of the tire. When I returned to pick up my vehicle, to my surprise, a replacement tire was installed that was a different model and tread pattern from the other 3 tires. I brought it to the service writer’s attention, and his comment to me was “what would you like me to do!” I told “Mac” that the tires needed to match. After a while, I was told that the same model tire would be arriving at the dealership. About 15 minutes later a replacement tire arrived. At that time, I also informed Mac that when the tire was installed on the rim, (the rim was in perfect condition upon arriving at the dealership) the tech had gauged it in several areas while installing the incorrect tire. At that time, I spoke to Sean McCarthy, Service Director. He apologized for what had transpired, suggested that I return the following Monday, leave my car, and he would have a rental car for me till the rim was refurbished. On Monday, 10/27, my daughter brought the rim and tire to the service department. I was unable to return with the vehicle due to my work schedule. Your service department agreed to replace the rim. My daughter stated that I would return later for the wheel. When I arrived at the service department after work at about 5:45, I was told by Mac, that they would not put the wheel back on my 350Z. He stated that he was told this by another gentleman in the service department. I did not get his name, but it may have been Ed. This gentleman also stated that he gave me an $800 rim at no cost! I explained to him that if his tech didn’t damage my car, it wouldn’t have been necessary. He then said that they would install the tire for $40. What an insult! Coral Springs Nissan damages my vehicle, they then replace the part unwillingly, and have the nerve to insist on a $40 charge for their negligence. “Ed” finally came charging out of the office yelling to Mac to have the tech install the tire. To add insult to injury, he further stated that no one wants to work on my car for fear of damaging it! I think that they should fear damaging every vehicle that they work on. More
