I purchased a 2023 Terrain in January this year. The day after the purchase I noticed the rear bumper was loose took it straight back to the dealer on the 22nd and was advised I had to see the serv The day after the purchase I noticed the rear bumper was loose took it straight back to the dealer on the 22nd and was advised I had to see the service manager on Monday. Returned on the 23rd and the service mgr. ordered a new rear bumper as it was defective. As of Feb 21st I had not heard anything. I called service manager and left a message and also emailed him. No response. So, I went to dealership and after he reviewed the order, he advised me that someone had cancelled the part. He had to reorder. On March 11th they were finally able to replace the bumper. When they brought vehicle out, I noticed the black trim around the back tires was discolored on both sides. They took it back to detail and applied something to revive the color. However, by April 21 the color had faded, and the appearance was quite noticeable. I had to wait for the service manager to return from a meeting. He advised me that was not done by his team and I advised him it was. He became noticeably upset and then told me that I cannot come every two or three months to have to this resolved and if the molding needs to be replaced it would come out of his pocket. Just Wow!!! I asked him if this was his car, would he be happy with this? Silence. I guess his answer was no. He took the car in the back, and they again applied something to revive the color on driver side but nothing to the passenger side. I am quite certain the band-aid he applied will fade again. I really want this resolved permanently, even if the molding needs to be replaced. I have had the car only 3 months and less than 500 miles. This just isn't right. Customer Service training needs to be provided. People need to be reminded that they can be replaced, but a customer cannot be. I apologize for the length of this review, but I was extremely upset by this incident and being a past customer service manager myself I couldn't believe his reaction in front of staff and customers.
