I own a 2003 Hylander with almost 130,000 miles. I was hearing a clunking sound when I backed up so took it to a trusted mechanic. There I was told that I needed a new drive shaft. I was undecided as to hearing a clunking sound when I backed up so took it to a trusted mechanic. There I was told that I needed a new drive shaft. I was undecided as to whether I wanted to have this service done or, was it time to trade it in? So, I took it to Copeland Toyota, a dealer I've long trusted for a second opinion. After a thorough analysis of the clunking sound, they determined it wasn't the drive shaft but my rear brakes! They fixed it and no more clunking! One week later, my car was back at the local mechanice for a scheduled oil change (this mechanic is close to our home.) Again, we were told that we needed a new drive shaft! So, I called Jason Pappas and explained the situtation. He told me that he would have his Service Manager (Rob) look at it to render another opinion. I brought it back -- they put it up on the lift, and called me into the service bay to point out that I did not need a new drive shaft. That it would last months if not a couple of years! Jason told me that if Rob determined I didn't need one; then I didn't need one. His confidence made me very confident. And if that day comes that I do need a new drive shaft, I may very well look for a new car @ Copeland instead! They were friendly, high tech, well trained, knowledgeable, communicative, competitively priced and very quick! No one likes having to get their car serviced -- but Copeland Toyota made it easy. Thank you. More
Service Dept. does not listen to its customers. Service dept. does not know the history of the vehicles they are servicing. They also do not try with all their heart because they lack listening skills. Te dept. does not know the history of the vehicles they are servicing. They also do not try with all their heart because they lack listening skills. Technicians are probably hampered by staff for whatever reason. I don't think this dealership trusts its customers and have lost my total confidence. I would never recommend service to anyone. More

Copeland Toyota is the best dealership I have ever used and will continue to use. They go above and beyond their day to day job to work with any and all customers. I purchased my vehicle from Copeland Toyo and will continue to use. They go above and beyond their day to day job to work with any and all customers. I purchased my vehicle from Copeland Toyota almost 5yrs. ago now. I have had my minor issues with the vehicle (as all cars do), but Copeland has always been there for me. They treat you with respect and are always there to help in a caring manner. I have pretty much dealt with every department and received the same AMAZING service. From Max Reed, Sales Manager, to Jason Pappas, Director of Operations, I have had nothing, but a pleasant experience at Copeland Toyota. While there I have seen and heard other customers who don't understand that a car is a car and expect the dealership to bend over backwards five fold to fix something that the customer broke themselves, but expect the dealer to pay for for no good reason. Be wary of bad reviews that hinge solely on bad customers expecting everything and the world handed to them even when the dealer tries to go above and beyond by offering more than any other dealer would because they truly care and sympathies with their customer base. I will be back many more times and will highly recommend them to any and everyone. More
I will never buy a car or get service ever again at Copeland Toyota. In fact, I tell everyone about my experience at Copeland. I have been a life long Toyota customer but my last experience has left Copeland Toyota. In fact, I tell everyone about my experience at Copeland. I have been a life long Toyota customer but my last experience has left me with a very bad taste. I was there in February 2013 and brought my car in to be serviced, even told the technician that I thought it was the Wheel Bearings to check them in the right front. They came back and told me it was my brakes to the tune of $600.00, I believed them because I am not a mechanic. I drove out of the parking lot but came right back in because the noise was still there. It wasn't my brakes, told them to check the wheel bearings again, they did and said in good faith they would just charge me for the parts, which cost me an additional $300.00. No sooner did I drive away again but only to turn around because the car still made the SAME noise. I was told it was something else by Dave the manager at the Brockton facility. I was furious and he told me that it didn't need to be done right away that it could wait and just turn up my radio. He said it had something to do with the transmission in the back. Did not make sense to me , but he knows better than me right? NOPE! The noise ended up getting louder and louder....guess what it was? IT WAS MY WHEEL BEARINGS! Imagine that? I paid Copeland for something they didn't even fix after replacing my brakes for no reason (with rotors I might add). They tried to make it seem like they were doing me a favor by just charging me for the parts only for the bearings.... if that is a favor imagine if they were trying to screw me. And to top it all off, Meineke charged me $240.00 for parts and labor and they did it without screwing me! I don't know how they can sleep at night knowing how they are taking money from people and have no remorse about it. Before I brought my vehicle to Meineke for the service, I made one more attempt with Copeland. I made an appointment for Dave to take a ride with me at 10:00 am at the end of December. I went there and he didn't show and didn't call me to tell me he wold not be there. I had to ask for him and they said they werent sure when he would be in. All around bad service and I am sure to tell everyone of my experience. Eileen D. Pina More
First of all the sale and its transaction of my car was good, no problem. The sales rep was a man named Kim and he was very nice, good and helpful. The amount they gave me for my trade-in was decent, and t good, no problem. The sales rep was a man named Kim and he was very nice, good and helpful. The amount they gave me for my trade-in was decent, and the price of the car was good too. So all was fine. I bought a CERTIFIED Toyota with just 10K in miles, so even though technically it was used, it was for all practical purposes a new car, 10K on a Camry is still new. 7 months later it began making this hard clunking sound after putting it into drive and moving about 30 feet, without ANY doubt this is not normal and it hadnt done it at first. Copeland Toyota is not close to where I live at all so it was tough for me to take a day to go there, but I did. My appointment time was 8:30 am but I told them the car had to cool down first before we could test drive it with a mechanic. I told them it had to be a 30 minute cool down. By 9:15 I went back to the counter and told them it would be ready, but was told they were still waiting for a tech to be assigned to it. 9:30 still nothing, but the rep showed me a paper that said 9:45 would be the time. 9:45 came and went and I kept being told the computer had to assign somebody. Finally around 10:30 or so, a tech came and we drove it and he heard the noise. He dropped me off to wait in the showroom while he took it into the shop. During this time I had a friendly conversation with the first rep that had taken me in, where I jokingly told him that I would bet him $10 they wont be able to figure it out. He very confidently said that was not going to happen, that in all his years there they had NEVER not been able to figure out any car issue. I should have bet him because thats right, they could not figure it out. The tech came back in and said he didnt know what it was but that he lubricated an engine mount (which obviously was not the issue) but that no mount was broken. I could have told him that to begin with. I mentioned to the first rep about that bet I joked about and he replied with "well we dont know what it is, what do you want us to do?". Got in my car to leave and of course it made the clunking noise as I drove across their lot. Next day I got a voicemail from somebody at Copeland wanting to make sure my service appointment had gone fine. I called him back to let him know, but he was not there so the lady answering took my comments about it. Half an hour later a different person from the Service Dept called me up to talk about it. He was about as disinterested and unconcerned about it as could be. He told me I could bring it back (like I live next door) and they would look at it again for a $200 & something troubleshooting charge. This is a Certified Toyota which is supposed to be covered for I believe 70K miles for mechanical issues - the car is 3 years old with 19K for miles. Even if I'm wrong about the 70k, its definately covered with only 19k. I questioned this fee and told him it was a certified car, bought from them. That didnt impress him and he still sounded very bored. I told him I didnt think I should have to pay that fee under this circumstance, to which his response was silence. I said "so that's it huh?" and finally he perked up a little and said "yes that's it". The End. So now I have a $17,000 car that has to last many more years, with an abnormal clunk. So, if you want to buy from Copeland Toyota, I would say go for it, just make sure you have your crystal ball with you to see if the car you buy is not going to have any mechanical issues, because if it does, they want to charge you just to diagnose, and they dont care if you dont like it. UPDATE::: When I submitted this review on DealerRater.com I quickly got the e-mail saying that there would be a 10 day grace period before my review actually gets posted, to give the dealer a chance to contact me and resolve the situation. Guess what - no phone call at all from Copeland, proving that they just don't give a care. More
William's greeting was very cordial. In the past, car salesmen were pushy and assertive. I would recommend William to anyone who needs a car.
