Copeland Toyota and I came to an agreement of the purchase price of a used Prius on Friday March 8. Included in the agreement (I have a copy of the contract) the dealer AGREED IN WRITING to not take purchase price of a used Prius on Friday March 8. Included in the agreement (I have a copy of the contract) the dealer AGREED IN WRITING to not take a deposit on the car while we file the paperwork (even though they complained about it). I had outside financing set up so the next week I was actively working with the dealership to file the paperwork with my bank. Over that week I was at the dealership two additional times. All title, registration, purchase contract AND a bank draft was completed by the dealership. The dealership sent this information (including the bank draft) to my bank overnight to get the live check. The live check was to be mailed on March 18th. On the morning of March 18th I received a phone call from the dealership saying that they sold my car on March 16th. This was a huge waste of time since the dealership is a 30 minute drive one way. Plus I accrued fees with my bank to get the paperwork in order for them. Plus took time out of work to deal with the dealership on the purchase during THEIR business hours. More
I went originally to Copeland to purchase my 2006 Scion xB. I was in the market for another Scion xB and decided to return to Copeland because they had treated me well the first time. I ordered a Scion xB. I was in the market for another Scion xB and decided to return to Copeland because they had treated me well the first time. I ordered a Scion xB in Sizzling Crimson Mica and after "haggling" to get them to accept a $100 deposit we had a "deal". I signed all the paperwork and left, excited I would have my car in a few days. Approximately a week later I received a call from Franco Leonard saying Scion had put a "hold" on the production of the color I wanted and it could be a month or so before I could get that color. They had searched other dealers around and no one had the Crimson. I decided since I had driven a black one I would take the black one instead with the equipment I wanted. I then was told that I would have to pay for all the "equipment" I wanted up front and/or pay for the car in total upfront. I told them that they accepted $100 to close the deal and that they should "HONOR" that commitment. They told me that they have a policy of not installing large amounts of "equipment" on cars unless they get a larger deposit or paid for the equipment upfront(we are talking about $2200 of extras). I again reiterated that they accepted the $100 and that they should "honor" that commitment. They told me they would see what they could do. After 2 hours of waiting to hear back I called and was told Steve in finance was supposed to call me. Franco yelled across the dealership with me on the phone to Steve and told him to call me. I was told by Franco that Steve will call me in about 5 minutes. Steve called me and I again said that they accepted the $100 to close the deal. He again told me of the policy and that he has dealt with people with "old fashioned beliefs" that a car deal should be done on a handshake and that he would see what he could do. I told him that I was not going to get the color I originally wanted and was "settling" for the black one, and that I thought they could do a little bending on their part. To which he replied "OUCH"! Franco called me back a little later and said that there was nothing they could do. They had gone to everyone at Copeland, including the owners and they would not "HONOR" and install the extras without prepayment. To which I replied then forget it. I was not going to pay and additional $2200 deposit for the equipment or pay for the car upfront($24,000.00). I don't think anyone would hand over that amount of money without getting a car in return. The reasoning behind their decision was that in the past they had installed stuff on cars and when the people came in to pick up the car they did not want what they had installed. So they were "stuck" with an upgraded car that took months to sell. So because of a couple of bad deals they believe that all customers are going to back out of deals or say they do not want equipment they already installed. I guess your deposit and word are not good at this dealership. I was able to purchase a Scion xB at another dealership with the same equipment I was going to get at Copeland. I did that deal with $100 deposit and a handshake. I will never purchase anything at Copeland and will direct anyone I know to the other dealership. More
I was looking to purchase a used Infiniti M37x from Copeland Toyota. Regi was very knowledgeable and very professional. He had answers, or found them out for all of my questions in a timely manner. All Copeland Toyota. Regi was very knowledgeable and very professional. He had answers, or found them out for all of my questions in a timely manner. All of my concerns were addressed and I was impressed at the ease of the transaction. I traded in a car, and was finally satisfied with the price for the trade in, after a brief bout of the dreaded "haggling". Steve arrived with the F&I paperwork and it was flawless, painless, and quick. What more could you ask for? He didn't try and push things that I didn't need, or want. I would definitely recommend Copeland Toyota for new or used vehicle purchasing, as well as asking for Regi. He has a wonderful personality s well as being a great salesman. More
I bought my first Toyota recently, and don't like it. Also having problems with the car and find it difficult to use the radio / phone controls. Copeland Toyota told me to bring it in and trade it in f Also having problems with the car and find it difficult to use the radio / phone controls. Copeland Toyota told me to bring it in and trade it in for a Venza that I liked. So, they offered me 4 grand less than what I paid for it only a few months before!!?? Seriously, 4 grand. I have been shopping other dealers and other brands to trade it in, they are routinely offering me 3 grand MORE than Copeland Toyota, where I bought the car that has problems with it.? Seriously? Talk about trying to rip me off. They specifically told me "we will take good care of you", they must have been talking about their bank accounts when they said that to me. Because they are certainly not taking care of me. Add on to the fact that my salesman now hardly ever returns my calls, pure aggravation. And the car started making noises in the brakes area after I got my 5k service and they rotated the tires. There was no noise before that. More
William's greeting was very cordial. In the past, car salesmen were pushy and assertive. I would recommend William to anyone who needs a car. I was in the market for a Toyota and I heard great things about William Mok at Copeland Toyota. I set up an appointment with him and once I showed up at the dealership, he was already outside waiting for me about William Mok at Copeland Toyota. I set up an appointment with him and once I showed up at the dealership, he was already outside waiting for me. He is very knowledgeable about Toyota products and services, and he also showed great patience with questions and concerns. He made the sales process very easy, and he went the extra mile to be sure I am extremely happy with my purchase. On the day of the pickup, he drove to my place to shuttle me to the dealership so I would not have to bother someone else to drive me there. William is an absolute professional and I highly recommend him. More
My name is Joyce L. and I am writing to commend William Mok. A few days before Christmas, my mother was slammed on her way to work by a hit and run driver who blew through a red light at an intersection. Mok. A few days before Christmas, my mother was slammed on her way to work by a hit and run driver who blew through a red light at an intersection. It was a hard hit. She was spun around and very shaken up by the whole ordeal. The car was totaled and she was very lucky to walk away. A week later, I had to help her find another vehicle, which I honestly wasn't looking forward to. On the advice of a friend, we went to Copeland Toyota. William Mok was our salesman. He was very friendly and kind. When we found a car she was interested in, he was very patient with us, answered all our questions, and more importantly, didn't put any pressure on us to buy. The test drive went well, we negotiated a price, and he made the sale. The day she picked up the car after work, he even went out of his way to help her out by following her to drop off her car rental before they closed. Then he drove her back to the dealership to make the final arrangements to buy the vehicle. She is very happy with the car. I am grateful to William and Copeland Toyota for making it an effortless experience for me! More

Tony Petti at Copeland was fantastic to work with. Tony was informative, attentive and not pushy. I only buy a new car every 10 years or so and loathe the process. However, I would not hesitate to work w was informative, attentive and not pushy. I only buy a new car every 10 years or so and loathe the process. However, I would not hesitate to work with Tony or recommend him in the future. Copeland Toyota was very good to work with and Tony was great. We did shop around a bit and did encounter the stereotype pushy, rude car salesmen at another high volume Toyota dealership in the area and then went back to Tony at Copeland and are glad we did. More
