Thank you for your feedback Mr. Albanese. We are sorry you are unhappy with your experience with us. To recap, you were in for service on Thursday July 10th with a water leak inside the vehicle. One of our service writers inspected the vehicle and in his opinion, it was being caused by a backed up or clogged air conditioning drain. The advisor then explained that the repair would not take that long once the technician got to work on it. You then walked outside and saw your vehicle parked and not being worked on and thought you were being charged for the time it was parked on our lot. We do not charge when the car is waiting in the queue to be worked on, only for the time the technician is working on the vehicle. Ultimately, the advisor did not charge you at all for this service because it was a long wait time and a quick repair. We hope that we still have the ability to earn your business.

Copeland Toyota responded

Mr. Spellman brought to our attention on 12/20/11 that the struts were leaking on his 2008 Camry with mileage of 58,373. Upon further inspection it was found to be normal “level 1 seepage” which is not covered by the extended warranty company. The customer was then informed we would keep a close eye on the strut(s) and if a leak developed it would be replaced under the extended warranty. The dealership cannot and will not state a leak is worse than it is. At any time the warranty company can send out an adjuster to inspect said warranty claim. We will never put ourselves in that position and jeopardize our reputation. After several phone calls back and forth, Mr. Spellman returned on 4/13/12 with 63,447 miles on the vehicle (5,074 miles later) and at that time it was deemed that the left rear strut needed to be replaced as well as both front struts. All repairs were covered under the extended warranty agreement. The dealership cannot discuss the employment details of any current or former sales employee, but the Copeland Toyota sales department still follows the same principals we have followed for over 40 years.
