The first one would not go into reverse, so out of the question. the second I was actually ready to buy except the fact that the price went up $1000 while I was test driving it was a bit like a bait and switch. They did a look over on my trade and offered me the KBB, but instead of looking at financing Dan tells me his boss had a bad experience with Volvo's and wasn't interested in my trade and told me to have a nice day. So if you own a Volvo don't bother heading to Cooley. So I obtained my own financing to the point of making the payment work to what I wanted while i was out of town on a business trip ( the deal was really only off about $800) Called Dan he was not available, left a voicemail i'd like to purchase the vehicle and to call me back. Still haven't received a call back. Found a better deal elsewhere on a better newer version of the car. Do your research these guys are way above their competition on price and don't negotiate. More

They replaced the tires as they were bald, the windshield because it was cracked, the breaks, and emergency break cable as it was broke. As we picked up the truck we noticed the window wasn't working correctly and then realized the heat wasn't working as well. We were told to call back to make an apt for the window and heat to get fixed and mentioned the nasty etchings in the paint that we did not notice at night when we originally looked at the vehicle. Made the apt and received the truck back in a few days. We were very happy with the paint being fixed and said that the one other spot we agree to take care of were the paint had been rubbed down to bare metal from a rack. When we left we noticed an airbag light on and soon again that the heat wasn't working still. We called them and because we lived an hour away they agreed to have us bring it to our local Nemer Nissan. doing so they found so many things wrong with the truck and said that it is not safe to drive. They found a radiator leak, plugged cat, tranny issues, and an oil pan leak. Cooley requested that they put in a used radiator because a new one would have cost them $900 and Nemer disagreed with the choice and that it should get a new one. So Cooley told us they were not a towing service and that we were going to have to drive it back to them so they can do the work. After bringing it to them when nemer didn't want us driving it they had it for a total of 7 days with no call and we had to call them to get any information. On the 11th day in a row of them having the truck they then call us to tell us that Nemer caused the airbag light and that they will only pay $200 towards an airbag module. Mind you this light was not on until after the first service they did. There were a few "choice" words said and my boyfriend hung up on them. Josh Sawyer states he is all about customers although after I tried calling to let him know it had nothing to do with Nemer and that the light was right on after their service he hung up on me!!!!! I was planning on buying a car within the next year or so but then I totaled mine so the hunt was on. I hate buying cars, hate it. I went to about 5 places before I got fed up that I just wasn't going to f but then I totaled mine so the hunt was on. I hate buying cars, hate it. I went to about 5 places before I got fed up that I just wasn't going to find the car I wanted at the price I wanted. Then I read a KBB review of the top 10 cars under $8000. I wanted something with some cargo space, a small hatchback and the only one in that rating was the 2005 Mazda3 so I googled for one in my area and there it was. I instantly liked the style and color and it was listed at about $8500 on Cooley's website. I called and asked if was still available and it was. I walked in the next day when I was in the area and Vinnie came to show me the car. It was pretty obvious the car hadn't been moved in a while, a bunch of cars had to be moved to get it out BUT it started right up. I took it on a test drive and it handled beautifully. Vinnie asked if I wanted to buy the car and I said yes but I have conditions. One of those conditions is that my regular mechanic looks it over before I buy it. My mechanic is 50 miles from the dealership, but they agreed. I told Vinnie that's great but I wanted to sleep on it because I always want to sleep on big purchases. He set a price and it was a really good deal, but other than that, no high pressure. The next day I called Vinnie and said I want the car but I wanted to change the deal up and he agreed and came up with another good deal for me. I took the car to my mechanic and he only found a few cosmetic things, the systems were completely sound, lots of work had been done by the dealership and he was impressed. I brought the car back and Vinnie said it needed one thing fixed in order to pass NYS inspection and that part would be in on Monday and I could have the car Tuesday (today). Mid-day comes and I get word that the part isn't in and I have to drive that god-forsaken Nissan Turd rental until Thursday. Not only did I not want to pay for that rental 2 more days but I'd have to keep the rental until Friday because I was going out of town. I admit, I kind of lost my mind. I didn't swear but I told Vinnie "fix the problem" Vinnie said I'll call you back in 20 minutes. Vinnie called back and said I can get you the car by tonight, so he obviously "fixed the problem". They got the parts off another car and even added some additional parts that weren't included originally. I dropped off the rental and Vinnie picked me up and brought me to the dealership. They had detailed the car and it looked BRAND NEW. The price is exactly what I wanted to pay and the car drives like a dream. I don't know what other people expect but I expect a good value and good service and I got both. I will be a repeat customer and I will recommend Vinnie and Cooley to anyone I know shopping for a car. More
I purchased a 2010 Jetta in September. It is the end of February and the brakes are completely shot. My father was going to fix the brakes for me & when he went to take the wheels off, he noticed the lug February and the brakes are completely shot. My father was going to fix the brakes for me & when he went to take the wheels off, he noticed the lug nuts required a special tool to take them off. He looked in the truck where the tool was supposed to be & it wasn't there. He also checked the glove compartment and the center console. I called Cooley Motors & was told I needed to speak with the person that sold me the car. His name is Huffy. I spoke to him and the general manager on speak phone about 7pm on a Wednesday night. The "GM" told me they could cut the special lug nuts off & put on regular ones that didn't require a tool. I advised him I wasn't comfortable driving the car w/ brakes as bad as mine were. They then suggested I have the car towed - I told them I refused to pay for a tow truck plus it would only get my car there, I would still need to drive the car back from the dealership with bad brakes. They said they would speak with someone in the parts department and get back to me. I heard from Huffy the next day. He again told me I could drive my car there or have it towed -I told him again my car was unsafe and I was not driving it. He said he'd talk to the parts department, again, and call me back. He called about 10 mins later & told me since my car is a Certified Pre-Owned, I have roadside assistance. I would just need to lie & say my car broke down & won't start so they would cover a tow to the dealership. But again, that means I would still need to drive an unsafe car 30 miles to bring it back to my parents house. I told him I could have my father take a picture of the lug nut so they could see exactly which tool I would need so they could see if they had an extra for me to borrow. Hours later I text Huffy 2 pictures. I had to text him an hour later & tell him I would like an answer back today so my dad could fix the car tomorrow. He finally called me and said they couldn't use the picture to find the exact tool I would need. He also told me again to have it towed. After hearing that for the 4th time & having to explain to him I was not comfortable driving an unsafe car for the 4th time, I got a little frustrated. I told Huffy this wasn't my fault that they sold me this car without this special tool & he needed to figure this out. I was at work, I've already taken 4 calls with still not result & the same suggestions. I said he needed to figure it out by the end of the day so my Dad can work on the car the next day. Huffy then said to me "you can figure this out on your own then. You're being pretty disrespectful. You can go f*xx your self" I will be the first one to admit, I can sometimes act irrational but I assure you, I was not this time. I obviously had a certain tone since I was so frustrated at this point but I did not curse or call him any names. I simply stated that it was not my problem & they needed to figure out how we can get the wheels off my car. I could not believe he actually said this to me. A customer, a woman!! I asked to speak to his manager & he told me I could call back & ask for .... (I don't remember the GM's name but I remember him from when I purchased the car & he was cocky & rude too) I am completely appalled that this man spoke to me like this. I will tell everyone I know to tell everyone they know NOT purchase a car from Huffy. This situation is now in the hands of Eric Cooley - we have to wait & see what the outcome is. More

Like many of us do nowadays, I inquired about a car using the internet, which led me to a Cooley Motors salesman named Huffy. In the beginning, things went well; Huffy was friendly, and promptly answered any questions I had. He also provided me with a price quote, and stated that it was the very best he could offer me. I took him at his word, and soon found that a newer, higher volume VW dealership in the area could beat his offer. Naturally, I purchased from them. When I told Huffy of my decision, this was his reply: "Well Will you didn't give me an opportunity, so I guess you'll never know if we could of beat them, but thanks for running me around and not taking into consideration that selling cars is how I earn my living. In the future don't waste peoples time because we were 10 bucks less with some money down so with no money down it was basically the same deal... simple math.. enjoy your new car..." Whether it's for service on my new car, or the purchase of another VW in the future, I will not be dealing with Cooley. I only patronize dealerships that want to EARN my business, not feel entitled to it. More
The sales department is out to get you. They will try to screw you on anyway possible. I was not happy nor do I trust them one bit. I was offered 13% interest rate because I needed to finance. I told them m screw you on anyway possible. I was not happy nor do I trust them one bit. I was offered 13% interest rate because I needed to finance. I told them my bank I was associated with offered about 6%. The very same day they offered the same rate. I politely said no and wanted to stay with my current bank. They continued the talk negatively with the bank I was associated with because they are "notorious" with "stipulations" but I again wanted to stay with my bank. The next day the salesman continued to rag on my bank and said they could beat it by a percent. I don't know how much truth to this but continue to listen to him. He said his manager needed the truck I was interested in off the lot. He pressured me to get my bank the money, which I was not pleasant about at all. They made me feel that I was being an inconvenience to them because it was taking too long for them to get their money. This was within a 4 day period. More

Originally walked in to talk about returning my leased Mazda. Josh Sawyer was very helpful - didnt try to pressure me about the lease return or to buy anything with him. The lease return experience was a Mazda. Josh Sawyer was very helpful - didnt try to pressure me about the lease return or to buy anything with him. The lease return experience was a breeze. I also found some excellent low-mileage cars that Josh was able to help me with and got a great deal on an '07 Lexus. They even helped me get a lower interest rate than the pre-approval that I had walked in with! Overall, it was a stress-free experience working with Josh and his team. More
Salesman mislead us stating that the vehicle we wished to purchase was in great condition. After traveling a few hours to see, the door was severely dented, tires mismatched and battery housing broken. I w purchase was in great condition. After traveling a few hours to see, the door was severely dented, tires mismatched and battery housing broken. I wish we would have walked then, but he gave us $1000 off the car. They then jacked us around for three hours closing on the car. We had check in hand to pay for it and they took forever. They told us they had a second key, but when we went to leave the key never existed. The first key didn't work well as the battery was nearly dead and held together by electical tape. Jason promised to send us a new key in the mail. He didn't and refused to when later called on it. I should have got it in writing. They are snakes, stay away from them. More
