I went in for a transmission flush on April 23 at Continental Toyota, 6701 S La Grange Rd, Hodgkins, IL 60525 and was ripped off. I was driving from Indianapolis to Carol Stream IL and I-294 was at a stand still due to an accident and there was a 2 ½ hour delay. Knowing the area I decided to stop in for a transmission flush. The SA was open and honest. The transmission flush was done quickly and I paid just over 155 dollars. A few weeks later I was driving and the transmission was not shifting properly from 4th to 5th gear and I was getting a funny smell. I pulled over at the next exit and found a repair shop. The service tech asked me did I every change the fluids in the transmission, I said yes. I went to the glove box and pulled the paperwork. The service tech said it was not done properly. I was pissed. The transmission fluid was a dark gray and was smelling like burnt eggs. So I paid the repair shop to flush the transmission again. I sat in the garage and watched the tech do the flush. I called Continental Toyota three different times and left a message for the general manager and service manager. No one called. First Time and last time. More
I believe the Continental Toyota Service Dept. is top-notch. I took the car in for a thumping sound that increased with speed. They road checked the alignment and inspected all tires with the Sienn top-notch. I took the car in for a thumping sound that increased with speed. They road checked the alignment and inspected all tires with the Sienna on a lift. The report was one slightly out-of-round tire and they asked if they could rotate it to the rear to reduce the thumping since I indicated I wanted to return to the tire installer. Finally, they road tested and reported significant improvement which I concurred with that assessment. The service charge was reasonable with just the cost of the rotation and technicians road test time; I believe it was for 1/2 hour. Can't say enough for their willingness to trouble-shoot my complaint. More
This is my first and last car from this dealership. The customer service is not there at all. I was treated horribly from start to finish. The price lured me in and I did buy the new RAV4 Ltd. for $500 - customer service is not there at all. I was treated horribly from start to finish. The price lured me in and I did buy the new RAV4 Ltd. for $500 - 600 over invoice. They do not tell the truth and they make things up in order to get you to buy the car and afterwards. Its like pulling teeth to get anything out of them. The free cargo net I was promised and I did finally get it by reminding them several times. I have some minor scratches and they will not arrange for another dealer to fix it in my area. 2+ hrs. away from their dealership. They said I'd have to bring it to them only. I can't honestly recommend this business. The only upside was I got the car I had wanted and at a very good price. They demanded my SSN even though I was paying by a personal check. I think that credit checks are for financed deals AND SSN's are NOT required when paying by cash or check. This is NOT homeland security or the Patriot Act requirements. They are so full of it. My suspicions were right all along about the car business. Liars and crooks. More
Mr. Mica was very helpful, but so was everyone I dealt with - including the folks in the service area and cashier. The dealership was very comfortable. The restrooms were well maintained and clean. Went for the Costco Price. When picked up auto, Went for the Costco Price. When picked up auto, seemed mostly interested in my phone number and address rather than demonstrating the features of Went for the Costco Price. When picked up auto, seemed mostly interested in my phone number and address rather than demonstrating the features of the auto. Required directed questions. LATER discovered omitted any data on the warranty that I'd paid for (service intervals, etc) and did not activate the equivalent of On Star, but I get a bill now 1 year later. Pretty facility. More
Very nice people and great price on my new Camry! Financing was great too (I even bought the extended warranty). I was greeted promptly when I entered and never felt too pressured during the sales p Financing was great too (I even bought the extended warranty). I was greeted promptly when I entered and never felt too pressured during the sales process (I understand, that sales people are there to sell, however. So when I visited, I was ready to buy.) Good experience, I would buy again and recommend to friends! More
I have recently bought the used 2010 Toyota Highlander. I am a Canadian citizen living in Alberta and was quite nervous when i started looking for a vehicle in US because of all the horrible stories i heard am a Canadian citizen living in Alberta and was quite nervous when i started looking for a vehicle in US because of all the horrible stories i heard from my friends. I found a vehicle on Edmunds.com and sent an email for a more information. After initial queries i started talking to Used Car Manager CJ Miller who helped me and gave me a confidence about the vehicle i was interested in. He helped me every step of the way knowing that its an internet transaction and I am buying a vehicle without even looking at it. The whole process was extremely smooth and the entire team of Continental Toyota specifically CJ Miller was extremely gracious and considerate. The vehicle was shipped from the dealership and i received the delivery yesterday and CJ followed me with an email that if i have recieved the vehicle and how do i like it. I just wanted to tell all the people reading this review that buy with confidence at COntinental Toyota because I found CJ Miller very honest and helpfull. I bought the car without even looking at it and now that i have a car its more than my expectation and received everything that CJ promised. Once again Thanks CJ and Jacky. Wonderful experience More
I had been thinking of a new car for a few months (I have been driving a 2003 RAV4 with 86,000 miles), considering a new RAV4 or a Hyundai Tucson. After test driving a Tucson, I decided that if I was going t been driving a 2003 RAV4 with 86,000 miles), considering a new RAV4 or a Hyundai Tucson. After test driving a Tucson, I decided that if I was going to buy my first new car, it would be a new RAV. After receiving an online quote, we went in to see the 2010 RAV4. Unfortunately, the one we wanted to see was buried in the recent snowstorm, so Michael H. showed us a comparable car. He walked us through it, let us test drive it, and told us to contact him when we wanted to see the one we wanted to see so they could dig it out. About a week later, we went in to see it. Michael wasn't in, but Lee showed us the car. I wasn't intending on buying that day, but we loved the car so we started talking price. After speaking with Lee and Joe, the sales manager, we could not come to agreement on a price. Their price was fair, but it wasn't what I wanted to pay. We left with no problems. As we thought about it more, we decided that we could pay the price they wanted (and the 0% for 60 months was too hard to pass up), so we went back. The car had been sold, but Michael said they could order another one, exactly like the one we looked at before. So we went for it! We got the fair price they had offered before, and more importantly, got what we wanted for our trade in. Two weeks later (which seemed like an eternity), I had my first new car. Michael was great and very patient with my endless emails and questions. We never felt pressured at any time in this process, from the initial email for information, through the financing department, it was a good experience. More
