To be honest, we were not in the market for a new car. We visited the dealership, test drove the new vehicle, and after discussing our leasing and purchasing options, decided to lease a new Odyssey. The only option on the lot was silver and I was looking for red or black. The team at Conklin went above and beyond to find my top color choice at another dealership - in Colorado, no less! The financing was smooth and painless and the entire experience was top notch. We live about an hour and a half from the dealership and Conklin even sent someone down with the paperwork for my husband to sign. Jenny kept in contact with me throughout the acquisition from the other dealership and kept me on top of the progress that was being made. We will definitely do business with Conklin again! More

Back then, when a prospective "sale" walked onto the lot, It had been 15 years since I had been to Conklin cars in Hutchinson looking for a car. Back then, when a prospective "sale" walked onto the lot, a swarm of commission based attention hungry sales reps raced to see who could extinguish their smoke the fastest and almost sprint to your location trying to 'wow' you with their lack of knowledge of the cars on their lot. That was then, and I'm happy to say, this is now! I decided to give Conklin's a try since it had been so long, and I must say, I'm very glad that I did. I was met by a very well mannered, articulately spoken "greeter" who introduced herself, shook my hand, asked what she could assist me with, and then proceeded to listen...yes, I said listen to what I was saying. She found out what my needs were, then made a phone call into the sales pool, and out came a sharply dressed young woman named Sarah Klug. Sarah introduced herself as she shook my hand, asked what she could help me find. I shared with her what I was looking for, in very specific terms, and much to my delight, I didn't loose her in the conversation. In fact, for the first time in a long time, I found myself dealing with a sales person who was very knowledgeable about her products. She suggested a couple of the used cars that were on the lot, but neither seemed to be "the one." And instead of trying to convince me that I was wrong and that either car would be the perfect car for me, she too listened, then politely shook my hand again and said she would check at the other Conklin locations for prospective cars for me and would call me if one was found. No pressure, no hype, no "today is the only day the prices are good" on the cars she showed me. Just a friendly smile and a "thank you for coming bye," and "I'll be in touch." Just a few short days later, we were in fact able to find "the one" and I drove my 2005 Buick Lesabre home today. And what a great deal I was given. I have to say, Sarah, and everyone I dealt with at the Hutchinson location made me feel comfortable. I could tell, they really did appreciate my business. I have already recommended Conklin Cars of Hutchinson to many of my friends in hopes that they too can experience car buying the way it should be, fun , exciting, and no pressure! Thank you Sarah! It was WELL worth the drive to and from Hutchinson to work with Jennifer Oberhelman and her boss Steve Swartz. We have NEVER had such a pleasant experience purchasing a vehicle and I assure you that the next time we purchase a car we will not waste our time looking or calling any other dealerships before going to see Jennifer and Steve first! Then, I know it won't be neccessary to talk to anyone else, because they are the BEST!! They treated us respectfully, professionally, honestly and kindly. We left knowing that they were people of integrity and that they would do their best to meet our needs for a vehicle in the price range that we needed. They went ABOVE and BEYOND in their serving us and meeting our needs and exceeded our expectations. They didn't waste our time trying to sell us features that we didn't need or want on our vehicle, nor was the finance department pushy trying to sell us alot of additional stuff once our car came in. I can not recommend Conklin cars enough to anyone who is wanting (and possibly dreading!) having to purchase a new or used car. We never dreaded seeing them or hearing from them because of the exceptional various ways they took care of us and they continue to do so. He has had some and I assure you that she has patiently talked him through the questions over the phone until she has helped him figure out and understand the answers to them. She is incredible.
