Hello: My name is Lori Hammond and I am one of the owners of Conicelli Hyundai. I am very upset to hear about the current and past issues you have had with our dealership. I believe you received incorrect information regarding the servicing of your 2003 Elantra. You are not required to take your vehicle to a Hyundai dealer for all services. You do have to prove to Hyundai that you are maintaining the vehicle to manufacturers specifications that are in your owner's manual. You would need to keep all receipts from all services that you have had done on you vehicle in case there was a warranty issue that needed to be resolved. As far as the previous issues you had in our service department, I would need your full name in order to look up our records. Hi Lori. I appreciate you getting back to me but I got rid of my Elantra. Between 2003-2008, it seems as though I dealt with -for the lack of a better term- "crooked" sales and service people. Hindsight is 20/20 and what's done is done. I apparenty was lied to about having to have all repairs including oil changes done at a Hyundai dealership. My sales person at the time told me this and later, I asked two different service people ( I believe the names were John and Ken) at different times and was told the same. Now I'm not sure why they would lie- maybe they receive commission or a kick back of some sort- I don't know. But this is what I was told. But this adds to the problem because not only was I lied to and inconvenienced each time I needed an oil change- but my tires weren't rotated and I don't feel as if my breaks were replaced because the tension never increased when pressing down on the break pedal. Maybe things have changed at your location since 2008 but as a car owner, I don't see how I could trust Conicelli after these experiences and I'm sure you can understand why.
