Competition Subaru of Smithtown responded

Hello, we sincerely have made every effort to rectify this complaint, and thank you that you took the the time to speak with Vince, our Service Manager, the other day. As Vince explained, the problem generated as a result of poor communication between the tech and the advisor. The advisor assumed that the tech soaked the cars roof with water in order to find the sunroof leak. The majority of sunroof leaks are the result clogged drain hoses (debris finds its way into the drains when the roof is open). Normally in this situation, the techs open the roof and pour a cup of water in the tracks and look to see if it drains. In this case, the drains were clogged, and thus have been cleared; This is the procedure that the tech followed. Our service manager was made aware of the customers dissatisfaction and took the car to the car wash (2 times) to ensure that the leak was fixed. We issued a check to you, our client, and a voucher for a Free Oil Change, to make up for the error, and sincerely apologize for the less then satisfying experience. We always address each issue individually, yes we have one of the highest customer-satisfaction ratings in the country, for Subaru, but sometimes mistakes happen, and we will expediently rectify them when they do. Thank you for your continued business.
