In addition, we are fully reimbursed for all extended and factory warranty work, so there would be no reason not to perform that work and invoke the warranty, unless the work pertained to damage/maintenance/repair items that are by nature not covered under any warranty. Dear "Robbie", Part of the certification process for a Certified Pre-Owned Subaru includes attaching a certified warranty to the car. Items like tires, and issues like alignment, are not necessarily going to be part of that warranty. Those are actually, wear items. The vehicle's tire tread does need to be within specifications, but the dealership confirmed the tire tread was acceptable prior to delivery, according to the standards set by Subaru for certification. The dealership apologizes for the frustration you experienced, and has reached out to you to rectify the situation. Unfortunately there is continued dishonesty with this dealer. Subaru of smith town wanted to publicly respond and state that they have reached out to me to rectify the situation, which is not true. No one has reached out to me besides a phone call asking me to fill out a survey on my satisfaction with subarus service. I called back and said I indeed did want to fill out a survey and did not hear back. I do understand that tires are a wear and tear item on a vehicle. My issue is that Subaru would sell me a "certified" used vehicle that needed nearly four hundred dollars in tires only four thousand miles after leaving the dealership lot. I didn't even come to needing an oil change, on my "certified" used vehicle and I needed new tires due to wear that was done prior to me purchasing the vehicle and an allignment issue that was supposedly corrected when the car was certified. Even if the tires met subarus specifications for wear, anyone with eyeballs would have seen that the ties were infact significantly worn more so on the inside edge, and possible correct the problem at that time rather than selling me a damaged "certified" vehicle that the tires would continue to wear until they were completely bald on the inside edges. Lastly, I find it troublesome that your mechanics and managers would send me of driving a vehicle that "needs tires much sooner than later" with my two year old child in the vehicle and not even offer to have the tires installed prior to me picking up the vehicle. Once again dishonesty and 100% dissatisfied with the service received.
