My 1st non-stressful car buying experience I have been 2-3 dealership before I visited Competition Subaru at Smithtown. My experience with Jay Liardi was really great. Poor service after owning a crosstrek fr 1 month So sales experience with Jeff was great. Had car one month and had bunch of alarms on dashboard. Dealer did call me to check vehicle because somehow they got notified also of alarms. I called back and had to bring car in. As soon as I pulled up and in the middle of a pandemic, only rude comment was make sure to put gas in loaner. I am a RN working in an ER in middle of COVID. Had to take time off to go to dealer and now be inconvenienced by loaner. Asked for manager. Vinny was very rude to me. Honestly why does a one month old vehicle have a "sensor" issue as they called it. I go back 3 days later to get my car and again first words are "did you put gas in loaner". How about we are sorry this happened and we know how hard it is to work in a hospital right now". And no I did not put gas in loaner. Very disappointed in their attitude and customer service . They were awful quick prior month to convince me to trade in my 2 yr old Subaru to get this new one More

If I could, I would give the rest of the staff a no star rating. On March 4th I negotiated a deal for the purchase of a new vehicle. My wife was trading in her crosstrek and upgrading to the Forester. On the scheduled day of pick up I presented the dealership with a Subaru Loyalty Program Coupon made out to me. Even after Lisa called the Subaru Corporate offices and confirmed that the coupon could be used by ANY family member living in the same household Chris Pompeo refused to accept the coupon unless I was included on the loan application. They continued to insist that the coupon could not be used unless I was on the loan. Also, upon my arrival to pick up the vehicle the Dan Archer tells me that he got us a better rate with a different lender without first asking my permission. This is after I clearly asked them to use the lender of my choice. Needless to say, after a nearly four hour ordeal I was so frustrated that I walked out and proceeded to a different dealership and purchased the car. The new dealership had no problem with the coupon and my request for a specific lender. More

I was out shopping with my sister on Presidents Day weekend because she had been given an offer from Toyota to terminate her Corolla lease early. We decided to go to Competition Subaru because my sister liked the Impreza better than the Corolla and was hesitant to take Toyota up on there offer. Enter Lisa, not only did she get us the advertised lease deal for the Impreza, she got the dealership to pay off the remaining lease payments on the Corolla. Lisa genuinely cared that we got a good deal and did her best to make the negotiation process as painless as possible. Even after the car was purchased she completely went over the car with my sister and showed her how to setup everything. Highly recommend her and Competition Subaru! More

They Don’t tell you car was in 2 Accident two of them fraud We bought a pre-owned car for $15,000 and asked if it was ever in an accident and they told us no then we find out it was not in one accident but in 2 We bought a pre-owned car for $15,000 and asked if it was ever in an accident and they told us no then we find out it was not in one accident but in 2 accidents they knew exactly what they were doing and try to rip us off but when we looked under the hood of the car we could see marks from the junkyard on parts this was a certified preowned car when we brought it to their attention they tried to play games with us and now we are going to court to sue them beware they are not honest people if you’re smart you’ll stay clear. They promised to send the second key. It has been 5 months - still no key. The salesman Joe and the store manage refuse to answer my emails and calls all this time. Just awful - taking advantage of a senior. Now I have to go to small claims court - such a pain!!!! More
