The lack of communication and the lack of service we received was really surprising. This is our first experience with BMW, and it was a bad one. I would not recommend this dealership to others after my experience, and would not go through competition BMW again. I emailed the general manager and sales manager about my experience on Friday 1/18/19 and today is Wednesday 1/23, i still have not received an acknowledgement or any sort of response to my message. I would not have left a poor review if i was shown even an ounce of courtesy. My husband and I were in touch with Theresa Pierro the weekend before Christmas about a 5 series she said she could get for us. The Saturday before Christmas, Theresa called and emailed me multiple times to see if we had a deal, and if I would sign the lease order and send it back to her. The paperwork she sent me listed the car as used rather than new, so I called and left her a message. It took multiple phone calls and messages on my part to get her to send me revised paperwork. She never actually called me back, just sent me a picture of a cut off lease agreement. I signed it and returned it regardless. After that I called her for days to see what the next steps were when I could get the car etc. She never returned any of my calls. Any time I called, the receptionist asked me my name, and would tell me that Theresa was with a client and I could leave a message. When I asked for a manager, I was told the managers were unavailable or in a meeting. This happened to the point that I just showed up, (after I made multiple calls that day and was told she was busy with a client or away from her desk) and then she was magically available to see me. I then asked her if she could give me a date that my car would be available for pickup. She said the system was down, she was not able to look up a date, but would email me by the next morning to let me know. It took a week of me calling and leaving messages/ emails to asking if this was even going to happen or not, to hear back from her. I don't think she ever actually called me back; any response I got from her was over email after days attempting to hear something. Any attempts to speak to a manager were put off by the receptionist. The gentleman (I think his name was Joe) who helped us set it up and took us through everything was excellent. I realized a few days ago (after dropping the keyfob) that I never received a key chain. All the cars I've leased over the years, I've never not gotten at least a keychain from the dealership. Last week I was in the area so I called Theresa to see if I might be able to come get one. As expected, I was told she was away from her desk, and that I could leave a message. I left a message and never received a call back. On Thursday, I called again since I would be in the area again. I was told she was not there. At that point, I asked if I could speak to the manager. The receptionist asked what it was regarding, and she put me through to the parts department instead. The gentleman I spoke to put me through to Jon, one of the managers, and I told him the situation. I was never planning on complaining, I was just annoyed that once again, for the most simple thing, I could not even get a call back. He asked me to come by and that he would give me a key chain and look into the matter. I stopped by and he gave me two keychains. I was in a rush to get my daughter off the bus, so I did not look at them until I got home. One of the keychains he gave me looked old, scratched up, and dented. I couldn't believe that this is the courtesy the manager decided to show me. To remedy the poor service and experience I had, he took an old keychain off of his keys or from his drawer and gave it to me to what, get me to go away? if you want good service, go somewhere else. The tow driver got me to Smithtown BMW as the service department was opening. They took care of my tire without an appointment and I am very satisfied with the service provided. Jackie Ruggerio was very efficient and kind enough to send me photos of the blown tire for a claim. More

One of the best BMW service center in Tristate I have been to many dealerships but the service here is excellent. Ken was very friendly and went above and beyond to fix issues in my CPO. Pleased with service at Competition BMW of Smithtown I'm always pleased with my experiences at this dealership. On this occasion my BMW X3 needed service on short notice. My service representative, Jack I'm always pleased with my experiences at this dealership. On this occasion my BMW X3 needed service on short notice. My service representative, Jackie Ruggiero, arranged an appointment to have the work done that day. As always, Jackie was both pleasant and professional in looking after my needs. The services (and car wash!) were done in less time than originally estimated and Jackie had me on my way extremely pleased with the experience. My lease ends soon and I'll be back again to work with John Oliveira and Helga Carroll in Sales. More
