I have been purchasing my cars with this dealership for along time..--this would be my 3 car and everytime, i enjoy dealing with Jason. I love him!!! He is great! I have never had a problem with him or the dealership. Service is amazing!!!!! The product is excellent! I am so happy with my car. And, i would recommand anyone to Jason Phelps. He never makes you feel like he is giving you the run around. Previous to buying my first car, I went to 3 different dealerships and was not impressed. I walked into this dealership, and met with Jason. VERY IMPRESSED. He doesn't ever fail me with getting my car! He always delivers! So it is my pleasure giving him a 10 rating, not just a 5! I had been searching for a convertible for almost a year, and had looked at many different makes/models trying to find what I liked. At the beginning of December 2011, I visited Competition BMW in Smithtown. and had looked at many different makes/models trying to find what I liked. At the beginning of December 2011, I visited Competition BMW in Smithtown. When I arrived, several of the staff members were engaged in various activities, so I waited a bit until someone inquired to see if I needed help. When I said yes, I was soon introduced to Jason Phelps, a new car client advisor. I explained what I was looking for, and Jason asked appropriate questions to show me the vehicle that would provide the features I was looking for. After showing me the 128i that was on the showroom floor, we sat down to discuss a potential deal. Jason was very thorough and took the time to go over the features and benefits as well as some additional extras which I really liked. I left with a brochure, his business card and the info I needed to decide if this would be my next new vehicle. The following day, I received a call from the dealership to ensure that I had had a pleasant experience and to determine if there would be any reasons that would prevent me from becoming a future Competition BMW client. I assured them that I was still thinking things over, and would get back to them shortly. Ultimately, it came down to making the choice between a Volkswagen Eos and the BMW 128i. The deciding factors: Jason Phelps and the Competion Group. They followed up with me at the beginning of January, on the day I was test driving the Eos. When I got home from the test drive and returned Jason's call, he was able to put together a deal that beat VW by a significant amount. Additionally, the car that I wanted was in stock, so I was able to take delivery within the week. I have also stopped by recently to have my vehicle washed, and I was treated very well by the service department. It is apparent that providing clients with excellent treatment no matter where you are (sales, service, etc) is fully ingrained in the entire Competion BMW staff. I absolutely recommend Competion BMW and especially Jason Phelps. More
My overall experience with BMW has always been good. I am on my fourth BMW from them and have never had a bad experience. Bob in sales has always had everything ready to go when I pick up my car and he is very thorough in explaining the features in the car; and since I'm not very good at figuring out the radio he even tunes in my radio stations for me. The service department is always ready with my loaner car when I come in for scheduled maintenance and on some occassions they have come out and picked up my car right from my office and brought it back when it was finished. The loaner cars are always a BMW which I like, when I had my Audi the loaner car was never an Audi. Nice people at Competition BMW, always very friendly. More

Purchased a part online for a BMW as a Christmas gift, and specified that I would pick it up at Competition BMW. There was a minor issue in the shipping of the part from BMW to the dealership. The parts department, particular one employee whose name I cannot remember, was more than helpful. He kept me updated almost every day about the status of the shipment, and actually was able to reorder the part on a different order and had it overnighted to ensure it would be here by Christmas. He really went out of his way to help me out. If I ever decide to purchase a BMW, I will certainly go to Competition BMW. More
I have bought and leased several cars over the years. None have compared to Competition in sales and service. My experience includes Competition Toyota, BMW and Infiniti for vehichles for both my wife a None have compared to Competition in sales and service. My experience includes Competition Toyota, BMW and Infiniti for vehichles for both my wife and I over the past 12 years. Never had a single significant bad experience. Normal annoyances/delays/hassels are to be expected when buying and servicing cars. I think I have realistic expectations and Competition has always exceeded these. We will continue to be loyal customers. More

BEWARE this was a a NIGHTMARE!!!! The staff is mis managed too say the least! Three trips for the same issue, never fixed! THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO SERVICE THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL. They do not know how to PROVIDE LOANERS TO THEIR CLIENTS! I made the mistake of calling BMW NA, that was the end for me! They took my car and told me that I had done something wrong? A $69,000 car? 20,000 miles brand new! This place is a nightmare! they tried to stick me with a $7,000.00 bill. In the end since the car was broke so long and the mileage was so low, I made out. I went and sold it to another BMW dealer after a $3500.00 repair for $5,000 more than my buyout. I sat with the car broken in my driveway for 8 months. This dealer is a discrace and they should be ashamed of how they treat their clients. I have owned, Infiniti 5, Mercedes 1, Nissan 3, and Dodge 2, I was never treated like this by any of them. Clueles management trickles down through that whole place. With so many dealerships on Long Island GO ELSEWHERE!! More
I'm surprised at many of these reviews. This is my second BMW from competition after getting one from rallye then huntington and competition is much easier to deal with, both service and sales, specif second BMW from competition after getting one from rallye then huntington and competition is much easier to deal with, both service and sales, specifically Jason. The sales process is nice and easy, low pressure and his price is similar to everyone else I shopped. One big plus is that there is no running back and forth to the boss. If you are getting a BMW definitely see Jason, he's a pleasure to deal with, very helpful after the sale, and his price is right. More
I have been going there for years. I can point out MANY instances, where they tried to overcharge me (or give unreasonably high prices). The BEST evidence of this is the oil change price: Habberstad charge instances, where they tried to overcharge me (or give unreasonably high prices). The BEST evidence of this is the oil change price: Habberstad charges $90, Competition charges $140. How can that be acceptable? Thats just one of the very obvious cases .. there are many others. I really think they need to research and at the very least have prices that are competitive with the nearest dealership (Habberstad) -- when just that happens, I wouldn't complain (about the pricing, at least). Apart from the above very-big complaint, I don't have any other big negatives to point about them overall. More
