I was told the vehicle inspection showed no problems or issues. A recommendation for transmission fluid flush and a brake system fluid replacement was made and accepted by me. I later used the "live chat" function on the dealership website to ask if a senior citizen discount was available for my service. The chat operator did not know and said she would have someone from the service department contact me by phone or email. No one called and the only email I received was from someone offering to assist me with my vehicle "purchase". I don't know where the confusion came from, but I was not asking about a senior discount on the purchase of a vehicle. In addition to my recall service, I did ask for a vehicle inspection. Upon leaving the dealership, I looked at the "Honda multi-point vehicle inspection checklist". I thought the inspection would have included an "under vehicle" inspection. It apparently did not since none of the "under vehicle" elements were marked (nothing marked for brake lines/cables; shock absorbers/struts/suspension/tie rods; exhaust system; engine oil or fluid leaks; and drive shaft boots). Other sections were marked and one was even marked as "requires immediate attention" - alignment inspection. However, no mention was made by anyone at the dealership before I left with my vehicle. Maybe the service department could inform customers what the vehicle inspection will include. The service writer was courteous throughout the process, but I would have liked to know if something was truly wrong and really needed attention before I left the dealership. I would have very likely had the work done right away. More
