Service Sait and Switch BEWARE COMMUNITY HONDA IN ORLAND PARK, IL!!! THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON’T TRUST CAR DEALERS. I need to get this off my chest. I had been receiving no BEWARE COMMUNITY HONDA IN ORLAND PARK, IL!!! THIS IS WHY PEOPLE DON’T TRUST CAR DEALERS. I need to get this off my chest. I had been receiving notices to have my Takata airbag repaired by Honda for no cost. I finally found the time to take it in on 04/18/2018. I told them I was in a hurry and they acknowledged that. I was told it would take 3 to 4 hours but no charge. I picked it up at about the 4-hour mark. I was told no charge, but the vehicle needed filters, belts, tires, transmission fluid service, power steering fluid service, coolant service, rear differential fluid service and the charge to do that was over $2000. I told them no, but I felt if they had taken less time in trying to “up charge” me it could have been completed earlier. 7 days later the airbag light went on. I called Community Honda and was to bring it back but as was again in a hurry and this was a second visit they could do it right away. When I arrived, I waited 10 minutes before I was even asked what I wanted. I explained and was told if it was “something they had done there would be no charge” but the only thing free was to look at it. I was then told it would take up to 1 hour to look at it. I complained to the service manager, Bob Media, and was told they would do it right away. The car was brought out and Bob Media told me there was a sensor that was bad, and they would charge for repair. I explained that I had the car for 5 years without the light ever going on and now 7 days after they had worked on the airbag system the sensor went bad by coincidence. Bob Media claimed it was just a timing thing and they would not repair without charges. Mr Madia told me they had turned off the warning light but if I wanted it repaired I would have to leave the car for several hours. I told them I would come back. I got in my car and immediately saw the airbag light go on. I immediately went back in the dealership and told the Mr Mdiia the light was still on and he responded that it was turned off but it must have gone back on, but they would not fix it without charges. Another hour and a half out of my life. Mr Madia told me that parts go out at any time it just a matter of timing that mine went out 7 days after Community Honda worked on it. I told him I would take my case to Honda corporate. As you never know if airbags are any good until you need them I must wonder if anything had been done at all. Bruce Rocasalvo, 04/30/2018 More

After picking up my car on 3/29/2018 I quickly realized that all of lightning on my heater controls were now out. Went straight back to the dealerships where they quickly stated that it was unrelated and nothing more than an unfortunate coincidence. The airbag replaced was above the glove box and the heater controls were directly adjacent in the center dash.They insisted that the work they completed could not have caused the lightning issue because this has never happened before. They then stated that they did not validate that the lights worked when I brought the car in and there was nothing they could do, not their issue. They then stated that my car had a number of miles on it and the fix to the heater control lightning was an expensive fix (the reason they did not want to own the issue).Their solution was to offer a discount if I agreed to pay them to fix lights (that they broke and insisted was a burnt out bulb).I refused their offer because they should be responsible for the full fix. Today half of the lights came back on after I hit a big bump in the road. Clearly this is not a lightbulb issue as they stated and likely related to the work they completed in the dash. The fact that they are attempting to say that this was an existing issue is insulting. Do not trust or go to Community Honda of Orland Park., These guys should not be trusted and are very unethical. There are a number of good Honda dealers, Community Honda of Orland Park is not one of them. More
Rude and Fraud!!! I went there to take the oil consumption test!! After 1.30h I asked for my car and they told me I am not able to pass the test because I have leaks... I went there to take the oil consumption test!! After 1.30h I asked for my car and they told me I am not able to pass the test because I have leaks...(my engine is dry) but I MUST PAY 40$ for oil change! They don't inform me for leaks or anything before change the oils! At Honda receipt says 1.Check for visual licks 2.Proceed to consumption test (change the oils) They wouldn't give to me my keys if I didn't pay and when I asked them why he didnt check for leaks first and the answer to me was THATS THE WAY WE WORK!!! Very rude staff. Now I don't know what I am supposed to do with a car whose model has an issue with sticky piston rings More

DONT BUY from COMMUNITY HONDA Piss Poor Service. DO. NOT. BUY. HERE Service department is a nightmare. $200 Dollar part, being charged $1300 in Labor costs. Called 500 Piss Poor Service. DO. NOT. Now I'm passed my warranty and still experiencing the wrong thing but they refuse to take responsibility and now I'm paying out of pocket. More

What went wrong I taken my car in to purchase a new battery, after almost an hour long wait i was told that my car didn't have a battery terminal bolt which was a lie I taken my car in to purchase a new battery, after almost an hour long wait i was told that my car didn't have a battery terminal bolt which was a lie, and i was being charged 9 to 10 bucks to replace the bolt. at which time i inform the sales associate that he was mistaken i was under my hood adding oil and that i had everything in order, then he came back at then told me his mechanic broke my bolt and i was being charged for the mechanics mistake .I totally refused to pay this added amount for the mechanics blunder. and after waiting an additional 15min .the adjustment to the bill reflected the original amount i paid it and left very angry. and never to ever come back. I just purchased a demo/loaner 2013 Honda Odyssey, and I wanted side moldings installed because I will keep this vehicle for at least 10 years. I kept our last Odyssey for 11 years.
