I am a disabled army veteran I own a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee 70th anniversary edition it is not under warranty took my Jeep here to be repaired due to when I applied brake it would violently pull steer Cherokee 70th anniversary edition it is not under warranty took my Jeep here to be repaired due to when I applied brake it would violently pull steering wheel to the right almost causing me to wreck upon dropping my Jeep off the day before my scheduled appointment of 8am to Jim in the service department I described the issue in detail before leaving I specifically requested the brakes be checked and the wheel bearings be checked as well as I requested that they do not use an impact on my brand new aftermarket wheels and chrome lug nuts I even provided a brand new 4 inch deep well socket made specifically for my new chrome lug nuts and Jim assured me that they would do as requested the next day Jim contacted me via text message to call him so I did in that call Jim told me the issue was the right front wheel bearing upon hearing the diagnosis I decided have all 4 wheel bearings and all 4 axle shafts replaced due to my being abit OCD about my Jeep and due to the age of the Jeep and not wanting to have the same problem in the near future with a different wheel bearing so Jim worked diligently to figure up the parts and labor for this large task and indeed he did the total came to nearly 4500.00 I agreed on the price told him to go ahead with the work and also specified that I was not in dire need of the Jeep and to take their time because I want it done correctly a few days later I get a call my Jeep is ready I returned to pay in full and collect my Jeep Jim is there waiting to collect my payment of nearly 4500.00 at this time I ask Jim was every thing ok with the brakes he replied everything is good sir no issues and he added they did not use an impact on the lug nuts excellent I said. I paid my bill got in my Jeep and drove home pull in the garage grabbed my 4 inch socket for my brand new chrome lug nuts out of the cup holder and what!!! Hold up as I glanced over the socket there is significant damage and wear to the tool end of the socket the metal in the corners of the socket where it attaches to the tool it's being used with appears to be smeared and hammered and misshaped in both directions equally in all 4 corners it appears as if it has been hammered on??? I exited my Jeep and began checking the condition of my lug nuts now keep in mind these lug nuts had only been installed a few weeks prior by me by hand with a straight bar and a torque wrench taking extra care not to damage them or the socket upon examining the lug nuts almost every one of them has some sort of visible damage several of them have large chunks of chrome missing from them as if they had been hammered on repeatedly... the next morning I returned to the service department where I was directed to the service manager Jeff I did not yell I did not curse I was not hostile I presented the evidence to Jeff the brand new socket now mangled on the tool end the brand new chrome lug nuts now mangled and missing chrome with bare metal exposed that will begin to rust when they get wet I told Jeff I believe the mechanic used an impact driver on these lug nuts and damage them after I was assured they would not and did not by Jim in the service department Jeff then told me they did not use an impact and that he watched them do it.... now I find it hard to believe that the one service manager stood over the mechanic as he removed my wheels then did whatever a service manager does while they replaced all 4 wheel bearings and all 4 drive axles and checked my brake system then returned precisely at the time of the mechanic reinstalling my new wheels and stood over him again ensuring he didn't use an impact??? Regardless of the assurance from Jim and Jeff Jeff agreed to reimburse me for the lug nuts which I was happy about and grateful for so I proceeded on my way across town 5 miles down the road approaching a red light I apply the brake to stop and wham!!!!! what do you know the steering wheel violently jerks to the right almost causing me to hit a car in the lane next to me exactly like it did before I took it to be fixed??? I maintain a slow speed and limp my Jeep to the nearest parking lot while doing so the brake continues to malfunction as well as I'm beginning to smell the odor of burning brakes I get in the lot exit the Jeep and examine the front wheels the odor is coming from the front left wheel upon examining I find that the lug nuts are so hot you can't touch them the brake is malfunctioning and not releasing I have the Jeep towed back to the dealer enter the service department I am directed to the service manager Jeff again I say I brought this in here to have this fixed 4500.00 out of pocket and it is doing the exact same thing as before and he tells me that I didn't ask anyone about brakes that I didn't tell anyone that it was doing this that I didn't come in here for that reason... now first off this service manager Jeff was not even in the room when I first brought the Jeep here to be worked on it was Jim who I spoke with on the phone and Jim who took my vehicle in to be fixed and what do you know Jim is nowhere to be found at this time but this man Jeff is going to stand here and tell me what I said when I dropped my Jeep off to Jim and told him to check my brakes when he was not even in the room sounds to me like he is calling me a liar and I'm not ok with that I told them to fix it and left as the day went on I waited and waited expecting a call to let me know what the issue is with the brake and waited and waited no one called keep in mind they have my 4500.00 they have my Jeep as closing time neared I called them and ask what is the issue with my brakes and I was told it needs a new caliper it needs a new brake hose the rotor shows signs of being hot and is probably warped and it will need a new set of brake pads and at this point it's not Jim on the phone it's not Jeff on the phone it's some other employee that has not spoke to me at all about my Jeep from the beginning so now a third person to fuel the he said she said bullcrap circus of liars at this place tells me we can fix all these issues for around 500.00 and we can have it done for you sometime the end of next week???? If we can get the parts.. I got off the phone drove over there asked to speak to the service manager and what do you know oh he's not here no Jeff no Jim no lady that I just spoke to on the phone now a 4th different employee that I've never spoke to wants to get involved and make this even worse no thank you I said sir you call a tow truck and have my broken Jeep towed to my house so now I will get the parts myself I will limp my broken disabled injured in Iraq butt down here to my garage and try to fix it myself by hand with no impact on my new chrome 4 inch spike lug nuts and hope and pray that I don't sever the nerve in my back and paralyze myself ....... if you value your stuff and your money don't take it to Bloomington Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram the website says veteran led but clearly they don't give a crap that you are a veteran they just want your money More
