A pleasant shopping experience I've been shopping for cars online, and I was trying to stay under a limit of $10k....but the larger cars that I like usually don't drop that low--unl I've been shopping for cars online, and I was trying to stay under a limit of $10k....but the larger cars that I like usually don't drop that low--unless they have 'high mileage.' This dealer had a red 2011 Cadillac CTS4 that caught my attention, but we determined that a black one--that was one year newer, and 35,000 fewer miles--might be acceptable for the banks to finance. Since it was late in the day on a Sat. afternoon; they told me "Take the car home for the weekend--see how you like it!" Most dealerships are too distrusting to do that--but these guys are a first rate operation! Long story short? We didn't complete the deal, and I just thought I'd be better off selling my old car, instead of trading it--and dropping the length of the loan term from 60 months to 48....so in the near future, I will return--and come home with the Cadillac of my dreams! My daughter and son-in-law highly recommended the dealership and I understand why now. All the people involved in the process were extremely friendly and helpful. It was just an easy and informed experience for me and my husband. I thank Wayne for not pressuring me into buying some thing I did not want and for helping me set up Onstar, Wifi, and all the other amenities in my new Encore (which I am so pleased with) and was personally caring as well. This will most likely be our new dealership! More
Unscrupulous unethical financial practices! Columbiana Cadillac Buick I felt like I was deceived into giving up a rebate from GMAC financial to get talked into a lower interest rate from a Columbiana Cadillac Buick I felt like I was deceived into giving up a rebate from GMAC financial to get talked into a lower interest rate from a bank, when the finance guy knew that I was planning to refinance the loan at my credit union. The finance guy asked us to take the bank loan so that GMAC would not 'ding' him and the dealership by having us finance thru GMAC just to get the $1100 rebate and then turning around the next week to refinance the loan at a way lower rate at the credit union. THEN, the loan docs are very mis-leading and they were NOT disclosed honestly and correctly by the finance guy. Told us that there was no fees to pay the loan off early. However, what he failed to disclose to us, was that there was a 'loan fee' that we would have to pay at payoff in the amout of $235. Bottom line is that I feel I was 'talked into' NOT taking the $1114 rebate from GMAC to 'help' the dealership and the finance guy not get in trouble and in return they charged me an additional $235 'loan fee' on the bank loan when they knew I would refinance quickly....and did not disclose this. I'm out $1300. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP'S UNSCRUPULOUS FINANCIAL PRACTICES!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! The owner replied telling me to contact the general manager Mark Sherman. I did that and below is my response to that experience. This is my reply to the "owners" response to my review above:.....Thanks for your concern and response. I did contact Mark a couple days ago and he was very professional and attentive to talk with me. However, he stood by the practices of the dealership and would only provide me with standard management response....that Columbiana uses standard contracts and language and that their finance department explains these contracts the same to every customer. My perception is that he was more concerned about saying the correct thing to me like he was supposed to because the call was being recorded (I assume) instead of understanding why and how the language, contract and actual conversation we had the day of purchase was deceitful, manipulative and had no concern for me. Remember, I gave up an $1100 rebate by not financing with GMFinancial so the dealership and the finance guy (Justin) would not get in trouble...thats what was explained to me by Justin. He also told us that he could finance us thru Huntington bank at a lower interest rate and we could refinance the loan immediately at an even lower rate with my credit union without any penalty or any type of charge. That was incorrect as we discovered when we discovered the payoff for the loan contained a $235 loan fee that we had to pay. So, not only am I out the $1100 rebate, I am now forced to pay $235 to payoff the bank loan....total is $1300. More

I arrived at Columbiana Buick at noo Wayne Ulery is the best kept secret in Columbiana, Ohio for treating a customer fairly when purchasing a vehicle. I arrived at Columbiana Buick at noon and arrived back home (an hour away) around 6 pm, with the vehicle I wanted, the price I needed, plates all transferred. Wayne did a fantastic job in helping me.
