This put me a couple thousand miles past when my oil change was due. Once they finally came to get my car, they kept it for about 2.5 days because they said Genesis showed I already got an oil change...this was my first and only oil change for this car....absolutely ridiculous when I could go get my oil changed down the street in 20 minutes-literally! The valet service was a big selling point to me and it has turned out to be more of a lure to get people to buy. It is a huge inconvenience in practice as they do not have personnel or vehicles to fulfill their contractual obligations. I will probably never buy another Genesis again because of the horrific customer service I have received from this Genesis service department. Keith, the "manager", only actually had the oil change done when I called 1.5 days into it....he wasn't planning on proactively fixing the problem, he was just going to wait until someone else figured it out. When I followed up about this, I was given a response that the person who originally worked with me, had to leave early because of some family issues, and nobody thought to contact me or understand what was going on. I empathize with family issues, but it’s not really my problem at the end of the day. When I went to pick up my serviced car, there were a bunch of people standing around, trying to figure out where my car was, what color it was, where were the keys, etc. When I initially didn’t take the survey because I wanted to wait and see if the dealership service center wanted to try and make things right, I got an email reminder to provide Feedback. I called the number provided in the reminder email, and when I asked for the person named didn’t email the person who answered the call said they had no idea who I was talking about, they don’t know anything about surveys, and they routed me to someone’s voicemail. I understand the service technicians, front desk, people, call-center, people, and survey providers don’t all work together, or talk together necessarily, but this makes for a poor customer experience, and I don’t know if I feel like this is a trustworthy operation anymore. On my previous visit, I declined a recommended brake job. For $700 I was just going to do them myself. This was before I learned you can't change these brakes at home. So, on this visit, I asked for an oil change, tire rotation, and the brake job. Service rep was super nice, and proffessional, told me that they would look at it and see if it needed done and come talk to me. Hour later, car is done, no brake job. Either you tried to sell me a $700 brake job I didn't need on my previous visit or you didn't even look at them on this visit. My wife and I have bought three brand new cars here, have had my car in the body shop twice and do all of our maintenance here. This is the first time I left feeling wronged. More
