The trucks we looked at yesterday were very nice, but that is not what stuck out about our experience at Columbia Ford, it was the people - it was Eric Miller and his professional and friendly, considera that is not what stuck out about our experience at Columbia Ford, it was the people - it was Eric Miller and his professional and friendly, considerate manner. It was Rick, "the Internet Guy" that just made it impossible for us not to come down after his friendly manner on the phone. It was the way Eric took the time to show us around, to explain to us more about the dealership, it was the way he engaged us about our family and what brought us in there. All of it was an outstanding experience! We live within 20 minutes of 4 Ford dealerships and because of their sales people and their lousy service departments, we were actually considering NOT buying a Ford for our next purchase. Because of our dealings with Eric and Rick yesterday, our faith in the "blue oval" has been restored - even if your dealership is an hour away from home. :) More
I want to thank Tony Mauro again for going above and beyond to find us the exact Cutaway Van that we needed. We wanted a Ford E350 with a Supreme brand body with a full cab walk in door that is not as beyond to find us the exact Cutaway Van that we needed. My current car died and I was desparate to get into a vehicle. I do not have much money and I was renting a car from where I work, costing me approximately 30$ per day. John not only was able to find a used car that is in my budget but put me in the car even though I had not qualified for the loan at the time. Chris and Matt worked together to make it all happen with the loan, Chris even treated me to a lunch, while I waited for John to make it all happen. John is coming to my work today to pick up the car and give it one more once over before they give it to me. I have some follow up work to do with money, but my experiance has been great. John, Chris and Matt, all came together to make this happen for me. I would be really stuck if they did not pull out all the stops for me. They lie to you over the phone and emails just to get you on the show room. Very poor service. When I was there I saw and heard two other customers have a disagreement with there sales men. Dealership personnel were a pleasure to deal with. I never like the process of purchasing a car, because I never feel like a "great" deal, and even this time I wonder if I could have done better on the never like the process of purchasing a car, because I never feel like a "great" deal, and even this time I wonder if I could have done better on the trade in by negotiating harder or selling it myself for a few thousand more. But....it was as pleasant or more pleasant than other sales transactions I've been involved with and would likely go back. The new purchase was 'eased' by my companys Ford X-plan which took lots of the "pain" out. Hal Miller the sales consultant was a pleasure to deal with, as was Matt in finance. Jake was my email contact literally for months and did a good enthusiastic job of following up without being a pest. I also visited a competitor in Hartford, and Columbia Ford just felt much more comfortable. One very minor issue; the truck railing cap has a piece that is not fully inserted and a discerning eye can see that the cap is not fully in. I'll likely try to get that addressed when I bring it in for an oil change. More
