We purchased a 2012 Taurus Limited with Ed Carpenter as our sales representative. While I did mark "No" that we were not given a tour, I wanted to emphasize the reason for that is because my husband h our sales representative. While I did mark "No" that we were not given a tour, I wanted to emphasize the reason for that is because my husband has been purchasing automotive parts there for 20 years with respect to an autobody repair shop he owns (Classic Auto East Hampton CT)and is very familar with the layout of the dealership; therefore we self-toured. Ed was very knowledgable of the interior operations of the car, which helped me a great deal as the female owner. He assisted me with navigation, voice activation, sound system, and the informational panel of the vehicle. I drove away thinking I had a pretty good handle on how to operate the vehicle with his instructions. He also assisted me with recognition of my mobile device. Ed was also not a pushy salesman, which is key in my mind. From our initial test drive to our purchase, he was very attentive to finding the exact vehicle we were looking for as we were very specific and his return phone calls were never pushy or persistent, which allowed us to think through our purchase without pressure. I do have one follow-up question on a certain symbol that is displaying on my screen, which I cannot seem to find in the owners manual or the navigation documentation. if Ed could please contact me at my work number, that would be great.
