Yesterday after my 12,000 mile service on my GV80 was completed, the service bay was jammed up and I was told to back out. It was frigid out and evidently the garage door had been stopped at half-mast, completed, the service bay was jammed up and I was told to back out. It was frigid out and evidently the garage door had been stopped at half-mast, not hight enough for my car and the door sheared off the roof antennae. No one apologized, not a single 'Im sorry'. As soon as it happened, everybody scattered and the main concern was not with me or my vehicle but try to find out who the guy at fault was. I was asked twice who opened the door and I explained that I didn't see who it was already opened when I was told to back out. When I finally talked to the service manager he introduced himself and told me I would get a call from the body shop which I have not yet received. I explained to the S/M that I have a long distance road trip planned for that vehicle coming up January 26 and he told me he could not help with scheduling. Again, I received not a single 'I'm sorry this was our fault' and I am upset that it happened but more so I am royally pissed about the way it is being handled. I am hopeful this message leads to someone who will take responsibility and fix this. I have two GV80s and have turned two others to Genesis GV70s and this deserves to be handled differently. Service individual I delt with was very professional. I would rate him well. My only complaint is that I was under the impression that free schedule maintenance was more encompassing than oil change and I would rate him well. There were a number of items that should have been inspected at the milage of my vehicle. These were available only at an extra charge.
