I went in for a minor service issue for my 2009 Jetta and came out with a New 2011 Leased Jetta. The entire sales team were great. They all worked as a group to make the deal come together to fit my budget. came out with a New 2011 Leased Jetta. The entire sales team were great. They all worked as a group to make the deal come together to fit my budget. No pushiness, games, or hard sell tactics, just a genuine desire to get me what I wanted at a price I was comfortable with.Definately a win win situation!!! I pick up my car Monday and I am thrilled. Chris Allen Tattric was my primary sales associate and did a great job. I found out during the course of negotiating the deal that Chris was new to the dealership and I was his first sale. Congratulations Chris on a job well done. May there be many more sales in your future at Colonial Volkswagon. More
Unprofessional staff. I purchased my vehicle new from Bill, the owner, and have taken it into the service department when problems have arisen. I have been noticing my car will shake at higher speeds. Bill, the owner, and have taken it into the service department when problems have arisen. I have been noticing my car will shake at higher speeds. I have owned many cars and I know when a car does something "that doesn't quiet feel right" you need to check it out. Especially on a NEW CAR with less than 10k mi. When I took my car in to be looked at, it was as if the service department wanted nothing to do with me or the vehicle. When I drove to the dealership (I live 10mi away) the car did not shake. When Bill M. asked me if the car was shaking on the drive to the dealership, I said "no". Without hesitation, Bill told me with attitude it's probably the road and said there's nothing we can do. He left me with the feeling of "I'm an idiot" which is inexcusable. I have been in various service departments in my lifetime...Toyota, Ford, GM you name it. It seems they all get the picture your dealership is obviously missing. That is professional service & staff. I understand the car was not shaking when I drove over, but then again I live 10mi away and do not go over 40mph on my way there. Bill should've said, "We will take the car and see if we can find out a problem, if any". And if there was not a problem, ok, great! But how do you know if you do not take a look? Maybe it was a gimmick and you were just waiting for something to really break and let the warranty pay for something "larger" that would utilize VW warranty services that would be worth a xxxx. Maybe, maybe not. The major concern I have is the fact that if my wheels came off or something disastrous happened after I left the dealership and after Bill said, "there's nothing I can do?!" Who would be at greater liability? I don't give a xxxx about your dealership, but I do care about the lives of the persons in my vehicle and anyone else who could be impacted. Bill, I suggest you start examining your answer "There's nothing I can do". It would be appropriate to give yourself more credit than that as a trained service professional who has made a great career for himself and has worked for Colonial VW for over 10 years. The automotive industry deserves better and I believe you can do better. I hope you will truly read my feedback and understand where I am coming from. My finance' and I have already made the decision not to use your service and sales department anymore. I am writing this for your benefit ONLY. I hope you take my feedback seriously. Good luck in the future. Joe 205-265-0530 More
I can't say enough about Bill's patience, the integrity of the work, and the shuttle driver who was friendly and caring about my service. I have worked with other dealers and I would have to say that this of the work, and the shuttle driver who was friendly and caring about my service. I have worked with other dealers and I would have to say that this was my best experience to date. They even ordered my hub cap and fixed my thermostat will the quickest speed that they could do and they did not get frustrated eventhough it was a hard problem to diagnose. More

Requested a 160k mile service when I had an appointment just for an oil change. Bill accomodated my request and got my car serviced. Also, the 12V DC power outlet was not working in the car. Bill got the f just for an oil change. Bill accomodated my request and got my car serviced. Also, the 12V DC power outlet was not working in the car. Bill got the fuse replaced charging me about a buck for the fuse and nothing for the labor! I have had my 2002 Jetta wagon serviced at Colonial ever since it had 74k miles, now even at 160k+ miles it is running great! Great no pressure service team to work with. I am sure the service department with veterans Bill McGrath and Bill Fallon play a vital role in customer loyalty at Colonial VW. More
They were willing to work with our budget when most weren't. It was limited! Also very willing to get a car in from one of their sister dealerships and bring it to us so we did not have to drive all ov weren't. It was limited! Also very willing to get a car in from one of their sister dealerships and bring it to us so we did not have to drive all over kingdom come. A level of customer service that you just don't see anymore. After a thorough safety check they found some mechanical issues with our used but new to us purchase and fixed them quickly and professionally and tested everything else to be sure we were happy. No games, no changing $$ back and forth, friendly, easy and relaxed. I would cheerfully tell anyone to work with them for their next new or used car. Really nice people in a really stressful process. I did not buy my first VW from Colonial, but I did have my vehicle serviced there regularly. In fact, I was having my vehicle serviced when I happened to wander onto the sales floor to look at new vehicle my vehicle serviced there regularly. In fact, I was having my vehicle serviced when I happened to wander onto the sales floor to look at new vehicles. I did not really have any intention of buying that day, but the salesman Bobby found a way to put me into a new car. Impressively, he had it prepped and ready for delivery that same evening. I feel like I paid a fair price for the vehicle. I normally beat-up car dealers over price, and I never buy at the beginning of a new model year. I may have been able to get a marginally lower price had I waited or shopped around, but the positive relationship Colonial has built with me through the service and now sales departments, made me want to dispense with the effort and sign the paperwork. Follow-up with Bobby has been great. The folks at Colonial of Westborough are top notch, I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend. More
Bobby was a very good sales consultant. He answered the questions and I felt he knew exactly what he was talking about. My wife and I have a 2003 Golf and 2005 Passat. We've been using Colonial VW for our service and maintenance for the last few years. Recently, I came in with a leaking flex-pipe attached to my catalytic converter (on our 2003 Golf) and was expecting a rather costly repair. Well, upon accessing the situation, Adam said he'd get it taken care of and under warranty. And not only did he do that, but had the car ready within a few hours (even though I did not have an appointment for the repair). Thanks to Adam & Colonial VW for quality Service... John More
