We actually did leave to test drive another brand of car, but were back inside of 2 hours to sign the lease papers for the VW. He didn't try to push us towards a Volkswagen just because that's the dealership's primary brand. He was also patient when my new insurance policy was handled poorly by my insurance company, and helped to set things straight. Best car buying experience ever All of us have had bad car buying experiences and I really was not looking forward to purchasing a vehicle from a dealer because of past experiences. While looking for a small used pickup truck in the Boston area, I found one at Colonial Volkswagen. Mike Kingsley was my salesman and was immediately friendly, not overbearing or high pressure. We took the truck for drive and I was interested but felt for the year it was a bit overpriced. Without me even asking, Mike agreed to replace the tires as they were fairly worn. Then he indicated that the dealer would do a complete go over on the vehicle, which they did, and fix anything that was not working properly. When it came to the bantering for the price, which to me is the absolutely most dreadful part of buying a car, Mike asked what I thought would be a fair price. I made and offer and they accepted. No back and forth at all! Thank you! They serviced the truck, replaced the tires, recharged the AC, changed the oil and topped off fluids. When I picked it up the vehicle had been completely detailed! This 17 year old truck looked almost new. Without a doubt I will purchase my next vehicle from Colonial (and Mike). Customer service is truly valued at this dealership. More

He was an absolute wealth of knowledge about the GTI and VW's in general, provided me with a great Test Drive rout and didn't insist on joining, was not pushy on if I was just there to test drive or if I was legitimately considering buying, and once we started talking money he went above and beyond to get me the deal I was looking for. I'm out of state and they handled almost everything over the phone including final price. When I finally went to test drive the truck it was exactly as described, in excellent condition, super clean inside and out. Michael, Jason and Ryan were all friendly and helpful and worked with my schedule and needs. Their shop did an excellent job cleaning and prepping the truck. Highly recommended. More

It's perfect for an older couple. Comfortable adjustable front seats, easy to get in and out of, plenty of power, nicely maneuverable and parkable in the dense urban area where we live. And it's a good looking vehicle. Just as importan as the car itself was our experience at Colonial VW. In three visits there, we dealt with Greg Cohen.
