Basically we went in, we knew what we wanted, we negociated a fair price, they took a $1,500.00 deposit and promised our car in a few days...ONE MONTH LATER and NUMEROUS phone calls UNANSWERED, we s negociated a fair price, they took a $1,500.00 deposit and promised our car in a few days...ONE MONTH LATER and NUMEROUS phone calls UNANSWERED, we showed up (they were BBQing hotdogs out front having fun), we nicely asked for our car (which they had called a few days earlier to say they had one but it was our 2nd choice of color....we weren't going to be picky at this point) and they drove up in the same car they had tried to sell us 1 month prior and we didn't want the first time we were there!!!!! UN*#@%INGBELIEVABLE!!!! We wasted 1 whole month and had given them $1500.00 (which they refunded). We left, went right over to VW Langhorne, and had our desired car less than 48 hours later (they had to get it for us...it was not something they had in stock either). Our Sales Rep at Colonial had the nerve to tell us, "I don't make the cars" as we were asking for our refund...well, I doubt our Sales Rep at VW Langhorne "makes" the car either but somehow they procured it for us within 2 days!!! Go figure! IF Colonial couldn't get the car for us for whatever reason (maybe they don't have a good relationship with other dealers to do a dealer trade?) all that they had to do was pick up the phone and tell us but they didn't nor would they return our calls! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! SO UNPROFESSIONAL! Don't bother leaving messages or voicemail messages....I don't think they even have access to their own voicemail! Do yourself a favor, go ANYWHERE ELSE! (again, highly reccomend Langhorne VW). More
Mike Boyle helped our daughter Patti find the perfect car for her. He was patience, courteous and considerate. We knew when it was time to come and get her a car it would be from Mike Boyle. When we arrived Mike was there to greet us, there were no dollars signs in his eyes, no being hurried, just an all around caring for his customer's feeling (very important, a customer can tell) and we did and we brought our car! I went into Colonial VW Subaru looking for a used car (really not sure what I could do because my credit was not good) Mike worked with us and I came home with a wonderful vehicle. After applying for a used car loan on the Internet, I was contacted by a CONMAN at Colonial Subaru Volkswagen. After arriving at the dealership, I was informed by the CONMAN that if I was approved for a loan, the loan would only be good for a vehicle purchased at Colonial. I told the CONMAN I was looking for a specific year and model car that he did not have on the lot. After a little while, the CONMAN told me he could locate a car for me at Manheim, a massive wholesaler. A little more time passed, and the CONMAN showed me what appeared to be a Manheim listing, with thumbnail photos, for the year and model car I was looking for. I asked the CONMAN if I could see the photos on a computer screen. After a half hour, the CONMAN showed me four photos that he had the dealership e-mail him. As it turns out, I recognized one of the photos of this particular vehicle. It was a car for sale on a used car lot about 20 miles from Colonial, which I proved by matching up the VIN numbers. The car was listed at $15,995 on the used car lot. Colonial was trying to sell me the same car for $19,900!! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to any Colonial dealership. More
My wife intended on buying a car from this dealership. We live about an hour away, so most of the arrangements were made over the phone. We had discusses final price of the vehicle, loan rates, trade in value on her current vehicle, and set up an appointment to drive the carat 7pm. She gets a message at 3pm telling her that everything is still good and to come there after work. She leaves work and is about 40 minutes into her drive. She gets a call from the dealership telling her that the owner has taken the car overnight and that no one knows why and that no one can get a hold of him. Now, she must turn around to drive home. Are you kidding! Who does business like this. Hopefully, they will find a way to make it up to her, but seriously? More
Colonial Subaru and Mike were a pleasure to work with. Mike, worked very hard to locate the car that I wanted, with all of the additions I wanted and the right color, aparently dark gray was hard to get. I was in the process of researching for a new car; I had visited several other dealerships. I dread doing this type of task. However, when I finally decided on approaching Colonial VW Subaru, it actually visited several other dealerships. I dread doing this type of task. However, when I finally decided on approaching Colonial VW Subaru, it actually turned into a pleasant experience. Mike Boyle who worked through this with me (I brought my daughter with me so that she could hear/interpret words, like finance, percent, etc) was one of the most nicest, kindness people I have come across in this life journey. Mike Boyle certainly made this task a pleasant experience in that he answered all of my questions and concerns, did not rush me in any way and completed this task from beginning to end. Of course, the last step was the financing who lead me to Marshall, who also was able to explain all that would happen, etc. Once again, Cheers to Colonial Subaru and Mike Boyle. This was probably the smoothest purchase of a car that I have ever had. I would've given a perfect "5" for PRICE however I was trading in a 2008 recalled Toyota Avalon. I'm quite sure I could've made a fantastic deal but because of the problems with the Toyota name, I was given the best trade-in value for my 15,000 mile driven Avalon among 6 Subaru dealers from Colonial Subaru. All of the 8 staff members of Colonial Subaru whom we met during the first week of our delivery were truly professional, warm, hospitable, honest, and made my wife and I feel that we were truly important to them as a customerk More
