Fabulous Experience I purchased a car yesterday. It was a pleasure to walk around the dealership. I did not feel pressure to purchase a car. It was an exciting and enjoya I purchased a car yesterday. It was a pleasure to walk around the dealership. I did not feel pressure to purchase a car. It was an exciting and enjoyable experience. My salesperson, Joe was very patient and easy to talk to. He was very patient especially explains the new technology to me. My old car did not even contain Bluetooth! Justin was also very effectively and prepared ( with the paperwork) in the finance department. I met with Michael to go over the Navigation System. My mother was very impressed as well. I would recommend Colonial Subaru to all my friends. More
An amazing new car buying experience with a rising star Juan I had an amazing experience purchasing my first new car at the age of 31. As a female I was dreading buying a new car, as I'm sure many of you women I had an amazing experience purchasing my first new car at the age of 31. As a female I was dreading buying a new car, as I'm sure many of you women out there do, I brought along my male partner to be my body guard against bullies. I could have left him at home ;). Everyone at Colonial Subaru was wonderful, they all addressed me directly, they didn't try to talk to my male partner instead, they did not pressure me, answered all of my questions, and if they didn't know the answer they found out. I walked into Colonial on a busy Saturday, everyone was helping another customer so the owner Eric grabbed a fresh first day employee Juan Ramirez to assist him and me with test drives and sales. Juan rose to the occasion beautifully!!! I'm sure we can all remember what its like to have a first day at a new job. I watched Eric treat his brand new salesman with respect and kindness, showing such patience on a busy day, teaching him the ropes. It is the mark of a great team when the leader teaches and treats his employees with kindness and respect. Juan did a wonderful job answering my questions, joking with us, and overall making me feel very comfortable. When he didn't know the answer to a question he found out. He even recruited their tech specialist Michael Britland to answer my silly detailed questions. Michael is a wealth of knowledge! I loved his excitement about Subaru's and their features. He truly loves his job and is excited to teach and help customers understand the intricacies of new car technology. After a couple days of contemplation I was ready to buy my first car! Juan was wonderful, and showed up bright eyed and excited to sell his first car!! I think he was as excited as I was!! His coworkers helped him through the whole process in such a kind way and he seemed very well supported through his experience. As if the process couldn't get any smoother Erica Kopp was a rockstar and helped ease all of my financial anxieties. She explained every form I signed in detail, showed me all the numbers for different year loans, how everything would add up depending on which features I went with, explained all the add-ons, didn't try to push anything at all. She gave me and my partner all the time we needed to talk out each option and decide what was right for us. When I was still nervous about the price she found some extra coupons online to get me to a less stressful final number. Through all of my hyperventilating and freak outs she kept a smile on her face and a laugh in her voice. She was such a joy to work with!!! As a final cherry on top of a wonderful day Juan's coworkers gathered around and cheered for him while I helped honor the tradition of cutting his tie for his first car sales. I couldn't have asked for a better salesman to work with and I was honored to be is first sale! I purchased a hitch for my new Subaru Crosstrek smurfmobile, and they said the car would need to come back in when they got the part. I was dreading bringing the car back in and waiting in the office after working all night at the hospital, I had nothing to dread. Juan came to my house after I got home from work, dropped off a loaner car for me to use and took my car to the shop for the installation!! He brought my new baby back to me the next day with absolutely no hassle to me! I obviously can't rave enough about everyone I interacted with at Colonial! Thank you all for making my first new car purchase a smooooth ride. Totally in love with my smurf-mobile!!!! More
Worst Experience Ever Buying a Car The rudest and worst sales experience ever. Sales manager was being such a jerk, made us feel like we're begging to get the car for free. He was rude, word for word, he said, "so are you going to get the car or not?" (no, he was not joking!) What the heck?! I've never experienced this kind of customer service and disrespect from any kind of sales people. First, when the sales person demonstrated the Eyesight, the car ramped right into a dumpster without stopping...twice! But why didn't the airbags deploy with that kind of impact? Then the sales person told us he could get the car in the color we wanted transported from their dealer network no more than 30 miles away, so we agreed to purchase the car and put down a deposit. Then the next day he called and told us that the car will be coming from Connecticut, like a couple hundred miles away. However, they will not bring the car in on a flatbed truck, instead, they're having someone drive it down. Now who wants to buy a new car with some stranger already putting a few hundreds miles on it already? We told them in that case, we didn't want the car and the deal was off, at that moment, we saw the true color of the staff there; all of a sudden, they turned from friendly to jerks. First the General Sales Manager got on the phone with us, but didn't have the guts to be mean, so she passed the call onto the Sale Manager who was a complete jerk, rude and mean. So they would only be friendly to you if you buy from them, but if you make the deal a bit difficult for them, they are complete jerks!!! (the sales person actually admitted that they think we, the customers, are being jerks, so they're just returning that same attitude to us). Wait what??? Customers go there to spend money and keep them in business so they could get paid, but then we're the bad guys??? We only told them that we don't want the car with someone driving it from a couple hundred miles away; just because we didn't agree to getting a brand new car with a few hundred miles on it, they got mad since we didn't accommodate them on the transport. Final word, I will tell everyone I know in my power to never shop at Colonial, EVER!!!! If anyone wants to shop there, they better be prepared to go, sign, and drive away with a new car, or be treated like you're the bad guys. All these highly rated reviews from other customers were from people who bought cars from this dealership, of course they were treated like royalties; but if you changed your mind on buying the car from Colonial, then they treat you with the biggest attitude ever! More

BEST DEALER ! Even better than my Merxedes Dealer I was looking for a SAFE smaller SUV after my wife had driven a Caddilac SRX or years, but it was way to big, and maintainence is VERY COSTLY. I as this after looking at other Dealers, Firsts of all SUBARU has the TOP TWO IIHAP awards, thenForrester, then the CROSSTREK , Mymwife wanted a Black one and I saw this DARK GRAY METALLIC one, while another dealer was here showing me a car I kind of used em to ensure it fit in the garage with no,problems. MY wife called me from the dealer stung I love it !!!!!! DAWN who is the Internet sale manager went over everything within me and came back with a price LOWER than what other dealer wanted for a Base model, it,s loaded except a map screen, which comes through Bluetooth and a skylight,.....we needs it it fries your brain . THey wanted me to come down BUT I did my homework , it gets 36 mpg and is AWDit can be put in Drive or shifted with the paddles. I must say that there was a misprint NOT COLONIAL SUBARU fault but SUBARU main company called n said they will pay for two years of all services needed, it didn't end there.....Friday a box arrived with a note saying "WHEN U R NOT ENJOYING YOUR SUBARU HERE,S A GIFT FROMUS TO MAKE YOUR HOME VIEWING EVEN BETTER...ITMWAS A $500 Bose sound box that fits under your TV. I must say From DAWN DeJesus, BOB ANDERSON, TO MIKE the tech guy who explains anything u don't know how to use, to,the people in Service to the owner who called me Personally.......this is HOW TO SELL CARS,,,, Other dealers can take a seminar fromCOLONIAL SUBARU and they too might be out of stock on most model but fear not they have plenty of so,e great new ones coming in I want to thank everyone involved I. This deal for the professionalism,courtesy, taking the time to explain everything , but mostly for treating my wife as an EQUAL to a MAN, the days of treating women as second class buyers is over at COLONIAL SUBARU I was gonna but a Mercedes CLA SUV, but got more for 1/2 the price and. Treated like I was there only customer......DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, FORGET REED,AN AND THESE DEALERS WHO SPEND MORE IN COMMERCIALS AND REBATES AND GO DIRECTLY TO COLONIAL right in Street Road and I promise u will BUY from them...... These r great cars, come pretty much loaded and are the best value out there n I did so much research before I asked my wife to go to COLONIAL.........Ill be back, when my car is time to go.
