I gave them a 5-star review, and everything started going downhill from there. The VW support secretary is extremely rude and talked over me - after trying to address an issue that THEY caused. Almost every downhill from there. The VW support secretary is extremely rude and talked over me - after trying to address an issue that THEY caused. Almost every time I brought in my car for servicing, I left with a new issue. The owner has the audacity to call me, and harassed me at work, after I explained I cannot talk while at work. I would not recommend trusting them with your car and would suggest you go elsewhere. More

Our second Subaru, first time I purchased from Dave Johnson at Colonial VW Subaru. Great guy, easy going, no pressure professional. DJ knows both Subaru and VW product backwards and forwards, knows cu Johnson at Colonial VW Subaru. Great guy, easy going, no pressure professional. DJ knows both Subaru and VW product backwards and forwards, knows customer service, and made my purchasing experience a pleasure. From finding us the car we wanted (which was not easy in this market) to delivery, DJ took care of it all. I've purchased from other dealers over the years, and this was hands down the best buyer's experience. After the sale we got to chatting about older Subaru and VWs and I was blown away by how much he knows about these cars. Final paperwork with Justin a breeze. Quality cars, beautiful showroom. Highly recommend these guys. More

Never, ever buy from or have a Volkswagen serviced at Colonial Volkswagen. I have a 2010 VW Passat. I've had this dealer (or one other dealer) service the car regularly. With over 130k miles on it, it needed a lot of service in late 2022 I made an appointment and brought it in as scheduled. Colonial could not or would not provide a complete estimate of all the items that needed to be repaired. They gave me a quote for some items (new tires and electronic locks fixed, for example - ~$4,000) and they suggested that I get these items fixed/replaced and they would then take up the other problems once they had a mechanic free to look at the other issues. First, fixing the car took them a week (they had ordered the wrong door lock mechanism). But the real problem was the other repairs (oil leaks, plus other parts) would end up costing an additional $7,000. I believe it was intentional not to give me a full accounting of all the problems with my car when I first brought it in so as to make a quick $4,000 from a few simple repairs. When I brought this to the service manager's attention, he ignored me. They are a very dishonest dealer. More
We experienced knowledgeable, friendly, and professional service from the minute we walked in the door until we drove off the lot with our "new to us" Subaru Forester. Before you buy a certified car, keep in mind that Subaru has one of the worst certification warranties in the industry. And read the checklist carefully. Most of it is things you could see yourself, like wo has one of the worst certification warranties in the industry. And read the checklist carefully. Most of it is things you could see yourself, like working turn signals. They car I bought and had to return had major problems: oil leak, transmission, appeared to have been in a flood, etc. The salesman, Sam, was very nice and spent a lot of time with me, which is why I gave it a 2nd star.
