service department failed twice We own a Mazda CX-9 and it has been recalled. On two separate occasions I have driven to Indiana to have the recall work accomplished. On the first We own a Mazda CX-9 and it has been recalled. On two separate occasions I have driven to Indiana to have the recall work accomplished. On the first trip that work was scheduled to be done along with an oil change. The recall work could not be done because a special tool was not available in the shop. A month later I called a spoke with a male member of the service staff and made arrangements for the recall work. He in a return call told me that they had what was needed on hand and again I drove to Indiana. After being there for about ten minutes i was told that they did not have that needed special tool. So in all I made two trips to Indiana and all I got was an oil change. In the meantime the CX-9's safety is questionable. The dealership, Mazda, or both have dropped the ball on taking care of recall work. More
