Went in to get a used car with less than stellar credit. I make really good money, and have little in actual bills, so my disposable income is pretty large. Anyways, as stated before (in other's comments I make really good money, and have little in actual bills, so my disposable income is pretty large. Anyways, as stated before (in other's comments here), I was told that I was approved for a loan before i came in, then they asked to have a credit check run (pretty shady, they SHOULD have already run it). We were asked to go out and look at 4-5 cars we liked, and report back which ones we would like to test drive etc... which we do (looked anyways). After this, they pulled the "good news" game and brought us to the first car (not on our list btw). I was not at all a fan of the car, but decided to test drive it anyways. At this point I decided that it was not at all what I wanted (no power, ugly interior, wasn't an odd numbered day today), but was curious on the price. I also asked what other cars we could look at, and was promptly told that aside from some sonatas, this car was what the bank had decided (BIG mistake, since i came in asking about a specific vehicle). 5 minutes later we are back at the sales person's desk arguing about the price as it is 5k over Edmunds book value (dealer price). They wanted a total of 15k with fees and everything tacked on..... not even considering the fact that i hated the look of the vehicle and wanted nothing to do with it. Not once did he ask what cars WE wanted. I finally got fed up with the games and walked out. His reaction was "What did I do?"... At this point I was no longer interested in even explaining what what went awry, I just wanted out. Moral of the story..... In my opinion, if you want to pay over book for a vehicle, this is the place for you. If you are interested in being treated like they are doing YOU a favor, this is the place for you. If you love being lied to in marketing emails, only to be told they need to run your credit when you get there, this is the dealer for you. DISCLAIMER: I may have overreacted..... It's possible that my experience would have been better if I had waited 5 minutes more, but after hearing the sales guy argue over sale price with my wife on a car I did not want...... It created an environment that I would not rather purchase a vehicle in, and enough was enough. 20% markup over book would have been acceptable (I would have at least felt better about haggling that down), but 50% was ridiculous. DOUBLE DISCLAIMER: after reading the other reviews here, I am glad I left. I've never been a fan of dealer vehicle warranties, but it sounds like (from other reviews) that theirs is especially shady. NOTE TO DEALER: I know desperate people are easy to rip off, but seriously, you have your sales process backwards..... I tell you what kind of car I want, not you. We could have haggled about price on a car that i at least felt good about... persistently asking why I do not like a vehicle is unacceptable; maybe I only like toyotas on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays of each week, does it really matter? If I do not like a vehicle, and say that, there is absolutely no reason to persist..... move on to the next one, you have plenty there. You could have had a sale, and possibly more, but the experience was just terrible. Also, when I ask your salesperson about the price, don't dodge the question and say you do not have it, of course you do. More
Prices too High. Bad sales practice. Fraud. They will increase the list price and provide discounts. Never courteous, then they will try to pay you to get good ratings. I had a very bad experience, and was cheated of an incentive. The sales price was jacked up by $2000, as was the trade-in price. They made it look like I was getting $2000 more than Blue Book value f incentive. The sales price was jacked up by $2000, as was the trade-in price. They made it look like I was getting $2000 more than Blue Book value for the trade in but in fact I got nothing - I HAD been promised Blue Book value plus $1000. We were paying cash, but still had to wait for four hours while these guys just yammered nonsense at us. I wrote to them twice, spoke with their PR rep, and no one has responded. Sleazy all the way. I love the car but that place is awful.. Go somewhere else for your Hyundai Tucson. More
I heard the 1/3rd off of any Sonata ad that they had on the radio. I went interested in purchasing one. They then tried to tell me that the manufacture's rebate was included in the 1/3rd off, which is fine the radio. I went interested in purchasing one. They then tried to tell me that the manufacture's rebate was included in the 1/3rd off, which is fine. THEN they tell me that my TRADE IN is INCLUDED to get the 1/3rd off discount. xxx? There's nothing in the ad that says the trade in is required for the discount, I think they make these things up as they go. So after going back to a few other dealers shopping around, I get a good price, and call up Jas & Jim to see if they can match it - sure they can they say. I come in ready to pay, and then suddenly the paper work comes out $2000 HIGHER than our agreed upon price. They tell me that's the best they can do, and that the price we agreed to on the phone was not valid anymore. No way am I going to deal with a scam like this. More

What a persona – a business person portraying himself as a patriot then rips-off his fellow countrymen/women. I went there because of an ad in the Philadelphia Inquirer promoting rebates – zero percent financing – six month’s of free gas (gift card). I was in a bind to buy since my previous employer took back my company car. I trusted this sleazy dealership and went back for the rebates, zero percent financing and gas gift card. They refused my request to even discuss this matter between us. Also, the finance manager sold me on the maintenance agreement which he said was good for 3 years of basic service. It turned out to be only good for 10 oil changes. What a rip-off. The whole experience was a complete rip-off. DO NOT GET RIPPED-OFF by the fake persona of greed. More
Overpriced the vehicle by thousands, and discounted it just above MSRP to make me think I was getting a deal, bat me up in finance the rate actually increased by 2 points due to higher list price. Then th just above MSRP to make me think I was getting a deal, bat me up in finance the rate actually increased by 2 points due to higher list price. Having read the reviews of this dealership written by others I was expecting the worst...but because of the great prices offered in their ad in the newspaper we decided to drive in from the York area to others I was expecting the worst...but because of the great prices offered in their ad in the newspaper we decided to drive in from the York area to look at Elantras and Sonatas listed in their ad. Althought they did not have any 2009 4 cylinder Sonatas on the lot they did have several 2009 Elantras which qualified for the great prices advertised...and we bought one. Our salesman, Sean Bennett, did a great job for us, and we would highly recommend him to anyone. The only negative we experienced was that we had to wait over 3 hours while the paperwork was being processed and to drive the car home that day...which caused us to get stuck in 4pm shift-change traffic in York. (It may have taken a little longer to process our paperwork because we had a "clunker" to trade...but if we know it were to take over 3 hours we would have gone out and returned later rather than just sitting in the dealership.) The sales staff was very knowledgable and courteous, and there was a general atmosphere of friendliness and care for our needs. We originally went in for one particular vehicle, but Vince quickly realized that there was another vehicle that suited our needs much better. I cannot thank Vince or Colonial Hyundai enough and will be sure to send all of my friends and relatives to them when they need a vehicle. More
Not a good experience dealing with one of the sales manager. The sales man was fine and after i called the owner with my complaint he did apologize for the mistakes made on the part of his staff. I was not happy with the outcome and in my opinion only it was a classic bait and switch move on their Part. All they care about is being nice to you til they get their positive rating. Rate them honestly. They play games with financing. I got approved for a good rate and they called me back in and said i had to resign due to a technicality. When i came back in they said that i had to change banks (unbenowst to me they moved up my first payment) they upped my payment and rate and cut what they were offering me. I felt in a bad posiiton as they already had my car on trade in and didn't know what to do - their finance guy pressured me into signing a new (worse deal and here i am stuck with it). In short they are a bunch of crooks who shouldn't be operating....Buyer beware - after you are stuck with it for 5 years it's too late. I was a devoted Hyundai dealer - now I will never buy a Hyundai again and i advise other people not to either. Buy American - buy a Ford. Suzette More
