Being a recent college grad, this was my first car buying experience and i must say it was a great one. I was at first a lil skeptical about buying a car because of all the things i read that dealerships try experience and i must say it was a great one. I was at first a lil skeptical about buying a car because of all the things i read that dealerships try to do well this dealership was not one of them. They made me feel very at ease and i know i had received a great deal plus Jim took the time to focus on my needs and helped me find the right car even though it was very busy, now i know why it was soo busy this dealership was fantastic and the atmosphere was very warming. I will definitely be sending all of my family to Colonial Hyundai my mother is actually in the market for a car and i know she will be buying it from Colonial. Thanks again for all of your patience Jim and Mike i know it was not easy dealing with my 50,000 question but know it hasnt gone unseen and also that you have one more customer for life. Thanks again and know your organization is truly a special one. For those who are wanting to buy a vehicle before you go buying it you must give Colonial a chance they will go that extra mile. More
Had been shopping for a new Genises Sedan for several months been to 4 dealers most didn't have many to see. Colonial had the largest selection & my salesman Dale spent plenty of time going over the car. months been to 4 dealers most didn't have many to see. Colonial had the largest selection & my salesman Dale spent plenty of time going over the car. After a short negotiation with Dale & Mike they got me a great price. There finance manager explained everything I was signing so anyone could understand it easily. I think his name was Sam. If your looking for a Hyundai call Dale at Colonial Hyundai I'm sure they'll take good care of you! Tony More
I found Colonial Hyundai on the Web after searching for places that could help me out since I have fair credit. I was excited to get an email back telling me I was approved and I picked the car I was inter places that could help me out since I have fair credit. I was excited to get an email back telling me I was approved and I picked the car I was interested in, a black used Tiberon that was $7000. I checked comparison pricing on KBB and thought it was going to be a great deal and in a comfortable price range for me. Well, of course, when I drove 1 1/2 hrs to get there, there was no Tiberon, even though they told me it was still for sale. It apparently had mechanical issues and was in the shop. I asked to at least see it, was told it was unavailable to be seen, they weren't sure if the mechanic had it out for test drive or what..So, instead of letting me look around in the parking lot for what I would like, I get taken to vehicles that were "within my monthly payment". Never once ever told the bottom line $ amount of the actual price of the vehicles. Of course first I get taken to drive a crappy little accent, no room for my growing teenagers, crappy riding vehicle. But if I want to get a more comfortable ride... we have this 2008 Elantra. It was beautiful. It rode nice, had everything I needed. But this was going to be $50 more than most I wanted to pay for monthly payment. There were cars all over that lot, why was I only given 2 options? I fell in love with the vehicle and sat there thinking in my head what I can give up a month to make this happen. I went there with $2000 in my hand and handed it over. Everything was typed up and signed. What an idiot I am. I thought the $15000 on my agreement was the price of the vehicle, a bit salty for a used Elantra but I gave in. Come to the realization after I left that that was my loan, and I actually paid $2000 on top of that!!! I paid at least $4000-5000 over what this car is worth when all was said and done. Way to help people with less than stellar credit there Colonial. Now I'll never be able to get rid of this car and not have to pay every penny you xxxxx me for! Also, I just took my car into local dealer to have service today, I asked them if it could be the fuel pump because there was a recall and it wasn't on my carfax so I figured it was never done..I guess Colonial forgot to staple that page to the carfax report they gave me because a new fuel pump was put in 1 year before I bought the car. Do you think MAYBE I didn't want a car with 21000 miles on it that had a faulty fuel pump and since had to be replaced? That would be MY DECISION TO MAKE NOT THEIRS!!! These people are shysters, plain and simple. I am removing my Colonial Hyundai license plate and decals from my car. I will not advertise for them so some poor old sap or single woman such as myself shows up there and gets a good reaming as I did. I came out of the finance office with my head spinning, I got their service contract drilled into me and ended up paying $9 more a month for something I will never use. I said no the first time, I live an hour and a half away, why the xxxx would I take my car that far for a handful of oil changes??? Crooks crooks crooks. I swear they leave the AC off in that place to make it like a torture chamber so you can't even think straight. Wish I could sue them for being dirty rotten scoundrels, but it's just a lesson learned. If it sounds too good to be true...IT IS!!! More
Went to purchase a new car and the salesman I was paired with had no idea how to handle a new car purchase. He was used to dealing with customers that had poor credit and I have great credit. I was very unh with had no idea how to handle a new car purchase. He was used to dealing with customers that had poor credit and I have great credit. I was very unhappy with his bottom line price and what he was able to offer but I loved the car and there were no others in the area. I was able to get a much better interest rate from my credit union than they offered and will definately think twice before I purchase another car from them. More

I was lured on a false pretense loan. They told me I was approve for a loan. However, didn't tell me the most important fact. I needed $2500-3500 to put down because of bad credit. I'm going to take that ki approve for a loan. However, didn't tell me the most important fact. I needed $2500-3500 to put down because of bad credit. I'm going to take that kind of money and go on Craiglist. Drove all the way from Delaware. Didn't meet Nikki who I spoke to. If you have bad credit like I do. Don't go to Colonial Hyundai. More

***If anyone is afraid of working with this dealer because of some OLDER negative comments; I would suggest you give them a chance. See my experience below: I would highly recommend this dealer! because of some OLDER negative comments; I would suggest you give them a chance. See my experience below: I would highly recommend this dealer! I was coming off of a (Subaru)lease and was searching for a vehicle that would get much better gas mileage. I fell in love with the styling of the 2011 Hyundai Sonata and shopped around on line with a total of (4) dealers. Jennifer got back to me right away with a price for the vehicle that I wanted. After visiting some dealers that were closer to me, I continued the balance of my search online. I was contacted by Brian Mason just before the Labor Day holiday and he answered all of my questions (and there were a lot of them) and emailed me back responses and pricing as requested. When he called me, Brian was polite, courteous, understanding and above all, knowledgeable. Brian also got me a very good price compared to the other (3) dealers which I imagine was not easy since the 2011 Sonata is a very popular vehicle. He never pressured me to add options or to upgrade to another level of trim. When we got it all worked out including the financing; I drove out to Colonial to sign and drive. There was my car, ready to go, with balloons on it and a "Congratulations" sign...it may sound hokey, but you can tell they care. Brian turned me over to a salesperson, Chris Fugarelli, who could not have been more pleasant, helpful and again, KNOWLEDGEABLE. Chris is not the stereotypical car salesman...I will let him tell you his story, but you can tell he has a passion for what he is doing and I was very appreciative of his efforts. Brian Smith handled all of the paperwork for the transaction and is another example of what a typical Auto Finance Person is not. He was the consummate professional even after I asked him to look at the financing up,down, left, right and sideways. He never lost his cool, and in the end...I was happy with the transaction. Chris helped me get my end-of-lease vehicle over to the Subaru dealer and when we got back, he programmed the satellite radio for me and best of all: HE PROGRAMMED THE BLUETOOTH to synch with my phone!!! I travel a lot to New York State where hands-free is the law, so this was a big bonus for me. When I called him the next day, I found out that he had also taken care of the insurance transfer with my broker, knowing that I was leaving the next day for a trip upstate to New York! I have not dealt with the negotiating side of a dealer for more than 12 years since a friend of mine worked for an auto manufacturer and I was able to be a part of a friends incentive program. After all of the other Hyundai dealers that I spoke to, COLONIAL HYUNDAI was by far, the BEST. As a consumer, it is incumbent upon all of us to do our "homework". I was amazed at how easy and convenient it was to do most of this via this dealer's Internet Sales Department. Brian M., Chris F. and Brian S. made my experience at Colonial, one that exceeded all of my expectations. Give them a chance.... More
I agree with the other negative reviews of which there are many. I spent half a Saturday trying to negotiate a price on a vehicle and they still would not come down from MSRP. I was tired and hungry at th are many. I spent half a Saturday trying to negotiate a price on a vehicle and they still would not come down from MSRP. I was tired and hungry at this point and I should have walked but I reluctantly gave them a deposit. Well, sure enough I was able to get the same vehicle from another dealer for $3,000 less without any negotiation! So, on the morning of the third day I faxed and e-mailed Colonial requesting my deposit back. They refused saying it would be forfeited. Now I don't recall signing a contract and I certainly did not get a copy if I did. But PA law allows any contract to be cancelled up to 72 hours after signature. They won't get rid of me that easily - I told them that I will be contacting the Hyundai regional manager and if he/she cannot rectify the situation, I will be taking the dealership to small claims court. Fortunately, the General Sales Manager, Jim Lopez, read this posting. Although we did not see eye to eye on what occurred, he did refund my money. More
I came in for a used car advertised for $11990. Before driving 20 miles I called to see if the add was correct, I was told that they weren't sure but I should come anyway. AFTER 3 HOURS I was told that th driving 20 miles I called to see if the add was correct, I was told that they weren't sure but I should come anyway. AFTER 3 HOURS I was told that the price advertised was +5990, This was not in the add, there was no indication of a addition and the add was at best bate and switch and at worst fraudulent. DON;T WASTE YOUR TIME, this is just my opinion More
