Come in Monday to purchase a new car. The car that was on lot was the wrong year that was agreed to through emails and phone conversations and the car that was the correct year was a manual trans. Lou looked around for the same car but in an automatic and found one so I came in Tuesday and purchased it. More
This place has been a nightmare. From the beginning, they kept pushing and pushing until I would sign the lease by using tactics such as "this deal won't be here tomorrow" and "we've stayed here past closing kept pushing and pushing until I would sign the lease by using tactics such as "this deal won't be here tomorrow" and "we've stayed here past closing working these numbers for you". Then I needed to get a Nav unit and back-up camera installed - they put the Nav unit in and didn't put the camera on because the paper work was written incorrectly. I ended up taking my car to the vendor to get a camera installed, the service desk at Colonial said it would take an hour, I was there for 3 hours. The Nav unit then malfunctioned and I had to get a rental while the vendor fixed that for a day. Finally, when I bought the car I was told I was getting 2 years of maintenance free but now that I am trying to get the work done, they said it was never part of the deal. This dealership is a joke. Don't buy a car here. More
I initially contacted the dealer by asking for Internet pricing for the Tucson. The price was right so I went in. They basically gave me the quoted price (about $500 over the invoice I saw at another deale pricing for the Tucson. The price was right so I went in. They basically gave me the quoted price (about $500 over the invoice I saw at another dealer) which seemed fair. Did not do a test drive with them as I test drove with another dealer. Our sales guy, Matt, was nice enough, low keyed and not pushy. He was probably the only decent part of the experience. After a wait for the finance guy, we went in. He offered us a lower interest rate (from a bank) than what Hyundai was offering. yeah! Part of his job is to offer different warranty packages...no problem. I even bought a package. Then he tried to get me to pay $70 for nitrogen in the tires, just like another reviewer said. I declined so he was very perturbed. He went and asked the service techs to let out the nitrogen and put in regular air. In the next few days, I noticed a slight vibration in the steering....tires are not balanced. Three days later, before I could take the car back to the dealer, I took the car on a 350 mile road trip that had been scheduled for weeks. The light to indicate problems with tire pressure went on three times!! Really, Colonial, Really?!! Coincidence?? You decide. Was this also a safety issue? Not sure. When I walked into service without an appointment, they told me that without an appointment, they might not have time for me, that I might have to come back in 2-3 days. It was Friday afternoon at 3:30pm and they looked finished with all work for the day. The service dept acted like I was inconveniencing them! In the end, I was told they balanced the tires but it still drives funny. They had some reason about the gps or cell phone making the light go on. Hmmm.... My advice: if another dealer with a better record for service gives you a price close to what you want, go for it. This is the 4th new car I've bought and I cannot recommend this dealer. We are due for another new car but not likely to use this dealer again. I dread the thought of coming to this dealer for service; will have to check out another dealer for service. My first 1200 miles with the car should have been a better experience and, sadly, it wasn't. Once they have your money, they don't care about providing service. More
My experience here was great and could not have been better. They got me into a new car when I never thought it possible. The service was very friendly and I felt like I was very important to them. The car: Elantra limited fully loaded 2012 with tech package. They gave me the best price on my car among 6 dealerships in berks, chester, and montegomry counties . I didn't buy it from them coz I kept package. They gave me the best price on my car among 6 dealerships in berks, chester, and montegomry counties . I didn't buy it from them coz I kept their offer on hold and I went to another dealer until the car was sold, when would the next car would come in,? the sales man, chris, said a day or two, he was true!! They kept following up with me and after I bought the car by one day after getting tired and losing my gamble, they called me to tell that the car was available. What a loss!!as I an ex-salesman myself, I really wanted their crew to earn my bussiness!!!...they did a lot to please me. From the presentation to the finacing to the price of the car. Maybe in a couple of yrs I will get back to them for another thing. Thanks to Mike Luttman, you are a very professional sales manager. Not pushy not sneaky. More
My husband and i purcased the equus in Feb. 2011. We did not choose to write a review until we had an opportunity to see how the service would be when we needed it and how well the car performed. Well it is not choose to write a review until we had an opportunity to see how the service would be when we needed it and how well the car performed. Well it is almost a year later and we are happy with all that we bargained for. We have owned a mercedes in the past and continue to own a lexus along with our equuus. We must say that our equus performs as well as both cars. This is a car we will drive for years to come. The attention our car gets is unbievable. We love everything about it. The performace, the safety features, the smooth and quiet ride, the space inside. We see the evy in everyones eyes when they look at this car. We couln't be more proud of the choice we made. We wondered if we would have 2nd thoughts after we drove off the lot, but each day we own this car we love it more and more. Its beautiful, its loaded with amazing features that would have costed us a fortune in any other flagship. Our friends are amazed by this car. One of them purchased a hundai after looking at our car. Several friends wanted to ride in this amazing car to see if it were all that it was advertised to be. They were as fascinated with the equus as we were. When the car was ready for its 1000 mile check up, they delivered a genesis to our home for our use while the equus was in for its check up. Our car was picked up and returned as promised and we got to drive a 2012 genesis while it was being service. I have read other reviews about salesmen not giving good service. We are happy to say that this was by far not the experience we had. Salesmen come and go but hundai is a great car and is what people should look at, not the people who sell the product. If you can get pass them you are guaranteed to own a great vehicle. More
I absolutely LOVED my sales guy, Ben. He was the best!!! I really appreciate how detailed he was about the car I bought and it made me feel better knowing he cared that I was comfortable navigating the feat I really appreciate how detailed he was about the car I bought and it made me feel better knowing he cared that I was comfortable navigating the features in the car and the purchase itself. HOWEVER, although everyone I encountered was nice, I felt this air of arrogance in the dealership, with the "best selling Hyundai dealer in all of PA." I think if didn't go in there with the Costo auto pricing discount, that I wouldn't have chosen this dealership. I didn't care for the $70 charge for nitrogen in the tires when I live an hour away and wouldn't drive all the way there just to get a fill up. It's a mixed bag for me. Ben was awesome but I think I wouldn't have gotten a good deal without the Costco pricing. Plus power seats? Only the driver side had power. As far as recommending this place? For Costo pricing yes, but just coming off the street? No because I think there would be a hard time getting a good price. On the bright side, I do very much love my new Sonata!! More
After reading some of these negative things on here, I thought it would be fair to Colonial that my husband and I couldn't be happier with the way we were treated by our salesman Jon Miller. He showed us thought it would be fair to Colonial that my husband and I couldn't be happier with the way we were treated by our salesman Jon Miller. He showed us the vehicle we were interested in and really gave a great presentation. Then my husband drove off for the test drive. After he drove it on the highway and we took the off ramp, Jon told him to pull into a little strip mall and offered to switch drivers to allow me to drive the vehicle. We had been shopping for a few weeks and been on several test drives, the salesperson at the other places offered me a chance to drive the vehicle. I really thought Jon had our best interest allowing me to drive the vehicle also. The negotiations were going back in forth but Jon never got upset and was fighting for us, then Mike Lutman came over and offered us the Maintenace Packages at a reduced price where me and my husband were very happy. Jon called the insurance company and had everything changed over and the car was detailed and filled with gas. When we got out of finance Jon went over the vehicle and synced both of our phones. What a great experience!!!! More
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER AND DID NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. Using a special pricing certificate from USAA, Colonial was one of 3 dealers that provided quotes (Pacifico, Colonial & Porter) for a FROM THEM. Using a special pricing certificate from USAA, Colonial was one of 3 dealers that provided quotes (Pacifico, Colonial & Porter) for a Sonata 2.0T & Limited 2.0T. While Pacifico had the lowest price, Colonial was closer to me so I went to them first. (Didn’t go to Porter, the closest dealer to me, as their price was way out of line. Colonial played games, told me my special pricing (and matching Pacifico’s lowest price quote) was not possible, limited my choice to in-stock vehicles, wouldn't honor my $500 Military Rebate, tried to up-sell (a maintenance package) to offset my special pricing and used hard-sell used car-like sales tactics with an unfriendly attitude ("why can't you give us a (down payment) check today; what are you waiting for"...etc.). I told them up front that they had to match Pacifico’s price to get my business. I even told them that I would prefer to buy from THEM since they are 20 miles away and Pacifico is about 45 (miles away) AS LONG AS they matched Pacifico’s price and located a car in my choice of color. After all, the “Car Czar” at Colonial says he will give up to 30% off a new car (see the TV ads now online): THAT discount would have easily matched Pacifico's price...and then some!! (of course its nonsense since they won’t really do it…) When they failed to work with me on my terms I walked away and went to Pacifico. Then, ironically the salesman continued to pursue me with calls, texts and even letters from his SM AND GSM telling me that they would do "anything" to get my business ("just tell us what we need to do"...). I told them plainly at that point (since they were annoying me) that if they had not played games from the outset that they (and not Pacifico) would get my business--simple as that. They had one chance and they blew it. Frankly, the Colonial staff acted more like used car salesman instead of professionals: they insulted my intelligence and discounted my age, background, experience and consumer research. This is exactly the opposite of the absolutely wonderful experience I had at Pacifico Hyundai in Philadelphia. Pacifico honored my special pricing (the lowest price of the 3 dealers in the pricing certificate) without question and worked diligently to locate my preferred car in the color I wanted even though it wasn’t in stock (a hard-to-find Sonata Limited 2.0T)—all things Colonial refused to do. Pacifico didn’t play any silly sales games and were straight up, easy to work with, not pushy at all and met all my expectations! Overall the experience was terrific and it was well worth it to wait a bit to get exactly what I wanted!--I love my Limited Turbo Sonata from Pacifico!! More
